Very happy with my results after receiving acupuncture from Daisy wu. It's the first time that I am able to sleep right through the night since having diabetes 14 years ago. I am also sleeping better and have less muscle stiffness from being on a computer all day. A couple of months ago during a football game my arm was injured, I was in a lot of pain for a number of weeks resulting in me having to re frame from work ' despite being given pain medication and being advised by a doctor. I was very sick during my last pregnancy and no Western medicine seemed able to help. I turned to the people at the Centre of Balance and was amazed at the results I received. They warned me that it might take a while to work out and it might never be 100% effective in my particular case. All of the staff worked really hard to cure me and while they were right that it wasn't 100% effective for me all of the time, they managed to help me enough so that I could continue to work and parent my elder child, something I was beginning to think I wouldn't be able to do before seeking this treatment. All of the staff bent over backwards to accommodate me and my timetable and never gave up on helping me, even when things seemed challenging. I was always greeted by name and with a big smile by reception staff. I always felt listened to by the people treating me and that nothing was too much trouble. I enjoyed your presentation, even though the attempt to link your process to the classics was little flawed. Having studded the classics, it is possible to justify anything according to how you interpret so not a good model to use in future. Research is the only was to validate and it your system or any other is to be validated in future it is the only way to go. This is not to say that your system doesn't work, it does. Regards Henri

I suffer from severe endometriosis. After multiple surgeries that did not give any lasting relief from the pain and other symptoms, I decided to try acupuncture. I presented to my GP in agony with a debilitating injury caused by a nerve pinching between two vertebrae. Pain & tingling, unlike anything I'd ever experienced before, radiated from my neck, through my shoulder, & down one arm. Today I was blown away by the accuracy, attention and diagnosis made by someone that I can only describe as being a 'medical guru'. Szenan Phua was unaware of the scans and xrays that I had previously had but was absolutely correct with the diagnosis after a very patient and lengthy examination. This place has changed my whole life. I'm doing things that I haven't been able to do in 30 years, makes me feel like I'm 30! I had a severely torn calf muscle, my doctor was extremely worried about the blood clot in the calf and told me to go to the hospital as it could be life threatening. After I've been to the hospital I went back to the Dr and went straight to see Amy. When I first went in I was limping and could only stand on one leg, was frightened that I'd lose my leg. After 2 weeks of treatments with Amy I was back to walking normal. And through the following the diet advice as well as the treatments I've been able to sleep better, got rid of my anti depressants, psoriasis has cleared up, bowel movement went from once every 3-7 days to once everyday, able to urinate properly, lost weight from 104kg to 92kg, and most importantly i feel much happier about myself!

I was diagnosed with bells palsy (a facial paralysis caused by inflamation around the facial nervous system) and my gp could only give me steroids and told me it will come right in 2 -3 months. I looked into acupuncture as an alternative practice and centre of balance happened to have a bells palsy specialist within their clinic. I had met with Dr Szenan 6 days into my diagnosis and by day 15 after only 2 treatments I had movement in my face. I signed up to a months worth of treatments solely focused around curing the palsy but my overall health improved significantly with it. I went in with acute/somewhat debilitating lower back pain following an injury and was pregnant. I had a great booking experience with Alicia Gray who is very pro-active, empathetic, friendly and accommodating over the phone and in person and always greeted me by name. My acupuncturist - Amy Wu is friendly, approachable/personable, empathetic, great listener and knowledgeable (I asked a lot of questions). After my first visit, Amy had drafted a care plan and explained why it's best to stick to it. Amy was not able to use the traditional method while being pregnant so she used other needle pathways for treatment and I still experienced immediate pain reduction and increased mobility. I've had a similar injury in the past and wasn't pregnant which took a lot longer to recover from with other treatments. I fully recommend going to Centre of Balance (not just for back pain) to anyone that can bare the thought of needles - for relevant treatment
