Zeald has just built our website in the phenomenal time of one week, thanks to Steve Corbett’s support. I met Steve at the e-centre where I also had a dream. My dream was different to yours in that I wanted to provide a service that gave writers the skills and confidence to become truly successful. I joined the e-centre in 2011 and I struggled to gain traction. The only thing that kept me plugging on was a piece of technology called Stylefit which is based on artificial intelligence. I knew this was the future for writers. It made them create their own stories by giving them automated feedback to improve their style when the algorithm compared their writing to over 400 pieces of successful literature. For some reason Steve stuck with me as one of my earliest supporters. He must have seen I was really struggling but he patiently stood by. I was down to my last dollar, owing a lot of money, and feeling like I had let everyone down, when a miracle happened. A woman appeared who believed in my dream and invested a significant amount of money to get me underway. The funding injection gave me what I needed to go to Callaghan Innovation and see if they would match her funding to develop a much more intuitive version of my first MVP. This time it would be for education. I had tested the first prototype in schools and believed that this was where Stylefit could make the biggest impact – by changing student’s attitude to learning to write. Once we completed the development and started introducing it to schools it seemed we were away but then Covid struck and schools were so busy dealing with their own massive crisis to consider hearing about a piece of technology that would help kids with their writing. Having tested the efficacy of the latest version Steve pulled our team together, organised proper sales training and we are now on our way and thanks to you guys at Zeald, we have the most wonderful website that I can proudly point people to and say, this is us!

The GEM team has helped me set up a really functional web shop, that's a breeze to update. Free hosting for the first 12 months gives me a chance to get my head around all of the ins and outs of running and promoting an online store. As an artist, the sales fees are totally affordable (more so than gallery commissions), and the web shop provides pathways to my other online pages too. We originally had a Zeald website, which we were very happy with... then switched to a custom site which never really worked well for us. So we went back to Zeald and built a new website and we're thrilled. The team at Zeald know their stuff and give great advice. The CMS is intuitive and easy to use, and our website has ended up being distinctive and functional. So far (we've been live for 2 weeks) we've seen our bounce rate drop by 15% and we've had a 5% increase in Google hits. After 34 years of various software databases, starting with the first, written in basic 2c, we decided we needed a fresh approach to our market and new tools for us to manipulate our data. We talked to Zeald regarding a complete overhaul and upgrade of our current site, which is a complete database of thousands of products and brands linked to suppliers. From our past experience we knew that it would be quite different from normal web sites with well over 200,000 cross reference links and many exceptions. Zeald created our eCommerce website to a high standard, and have constantly and consistently help to solve any problems or issues we've had. While Zeald did provide a fresh new design for our website and some expert AdWords consulting, our perspective on Zeald is not from a typical customer angle; it's been more like looking from the outside and the inside at the same time (since they also bought half our company - twiik (pron. “tweak”), which specialises in building custom online & tablet applications). After a poor experience elsewhere, I agreed on an adwords campaign with Marcel at Zeald. Just had our website upgraded to V4 and it has given it a new look, very pleased. Has been good working with Laura over the past few weeks to achieve what was required.
