C.I first knew of Jamie and his work when he was our landscape architect for a small task in Christchurch. He worked for a renowned architect before heading overseas on his OE.
Luckily he came back to Christchurch and we have used him for two houses since. Both with reasonable budgets built in the Southern lakes Area, the 2nd one is just having the finishing touches put to it now.
The first property Jamie consulted for us was at Jacks point. He accommodated the design committees requests and came up with a design that fitted well with our awkward shaped section. It was a redesign and an amendment that was put together from another well known landscape architect.
Sadly we had to sell this property but have since completed another house in close proximity. The home features schist walls, retaining walls, wine cave, spa, water features, glass edge pool, retractable pergola, 7 decks and 3 courtyards. It came with full detailed drawings, measurements, levels site visits and the entire package. We altered some part of the design to work around our views and he connected everything we wanted seamlessly and with out fuss
His fee was very good value for what we were given. I have been through this process a few times and i value the importance of having good planning in place before the start, it helps with projects pricing and saves you money in the long run
i would not hesitate to use Design Works Group again for any future projects or recommending him to anyone else.
