I initially became aware of Mark the team at Local through my work in the NZ architecture and landscape design industry, and knew of their excellent reputation and award winning work across both large scale and private projects. I recently engaged Mark to help design and make plant recommendations for a back courtyard and front section, plus other details across our property to finish off a large reno project. Mark has impeccable design sense, but is equally practical and able to get to the heart of what will fit a client's wants and needs. He's super professional, flexible and responsive, and he's gone above and beyond to fit some small things for us into his busy schedule. It was also really helpful to draw on his strong planting knowledge and what plants would look great and thrive in the environment. In short, we love our space and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mark if you want help creating a beautiful and unique outdoor space, and to work with a good human who brings thoughtfulness and care to their work.

Andrew and I have been working/collaborating with Mark Newdick and various teams over the past seven years. He has worked with us to help visualise and create our wonderful landscaping. Which we are constantly getting positive comments on. Mark has a real gift when it comes to selecting plants and creating interesting, modern planted living spaces, which work in the environment we live. In our case Coastal Eastbourne. We started the masterplan for our home seven years ago, and completed three quarters of the work then, and have finally finished the remaining landscaping. Mark remained patient and committed to seeing the project through, while allowing us to be involved in the design process. We wanted to take a more active role in the final part, Mark was great, steering us in the right directions of various suppliers, from, recycled timber suppliers, to sourcing rocks and plants. We have finally finished the renovation of the house. We are so pleased that we started the process so long ago, as it has allowed the garden/home to have an established feel. Mark is very talented at visualising what a garden can look like in the future, and we have really valued his input.

We’re in the process of getting a residential landscaping project designed and developed with the assistance of local. It’s been a long journey this far - over a year, but we are hopeful that they will be able to come through with a builder who can do the job in the next few months. I think the design they’ve come up with has been well thought out and fits with the style and age of the house.
