I’ve been doing hot yoga for last 6 years with Ellen, I would say It is the best yoga studio in New Zealand and all the instructors here are very professional. They always correct your postures in the class if we do it wrongly so we can get the most benefits out of it without injuring ourselves . It’s sad that I have to move down hamilton otherwise I would joining with them again this year.
It’s worth to try and invest our health into right organisation and people who can look after you sincerely.

Hot yoga is sooooo good! It took me a while to find the courage to get in the door, I was afraid of how I would cope in the heat. Finally I got in the door and it turned out to be one of the best moves of my life. The yoga (and Pilates) whilst suitable for all beginners are challenging, rewarding and my body and mind feel so good at the end.
I've got so much out of my regular practice at the studio - increased strength, flexibility, resilience and friendship. The teachers are supportive and approachable; its a very warm and welcoming environment.
If you're thinking of trying it, go for it.

This is my first yoga studio. The instructors are all such incredible people and teachers it's phenomenal. As for the hot yoga, I used to get teased for having the posture of an old lady, but hot yoga straightened out my shoulders and built up my core, and in the first 3 months I was getting compliments thrown at me from everywhere. I have tried other gym studios before and felt intimidated by other people's flexibility but I don't feel judged here.

Amazing! The team are so wonderful - happy to answer any odd question even if it's only semi related. And to handle it if for some odd reason you want to start crying in class (not because of the yoga just because I was losing the plot at work).
Bikram has done wonders for my body and I am so excited where I will end up with it!

I have spent alot of my time around gym facilities and exercise classes, however with being in the physiotherapy field for a while, i would HIGHLY recommend this place. Ellen and her team are amazing, and I cannot rate it enough. The hot yoga is absolutely amazing, integrating heat to enhance your flexibility and to assist and prevent future injury.
The thing that i love the most about it is how personable the teachers are with everyone and the attention towards each student. The population of people that come in are extremely mixed from young to old, and the classes not only focus on physical performance but most importantly mental as well!
So glad I found you guys, thank you for providing this for the community. The best decision to sign up with you guys, can't wait for my next class! Amazing vibe <3

I started hot yoga 3 weeks ago and honestly it's life changing. It's so relaxing and rejuvenating and it gives you the opportunity to reconnect with yourself again. Given the fact that we are so busy with our everyday lives, these classes gives you a change to really look at yourself in the mirror again and boosts your confidence.
How hot yoga has helped me:
I feel fresh,
I feel lighter on my feel, almost like a bounce in my walk,
Looking at myself for that 1hour/ hour and a half allows me to except myself, just the way I am, it makes me appreciate myself.
My legs don't feel as heavy like they did after a long tiring day,
I am not as bloated and tired all the time,
My skin feels amazing, almost like the yoga is flushing out toxins from my body.
And most importantly I feel GOOD about myself.
I definitely feel alot more toned after 3 weeks only.
The staff are so friendly and genuinely want to help you feel great.

I started Hot Yoga when this place first opened. It is a safe haven I always go back to. Ellen and her team are amazing. There are so many great benefits to hot yoga. It is a total body work out and definitely a life changing experience. Highly recommend Achel Hot Yoga.

I have been practicing hot yoga and hot Pilates here for the last two months and it’s the best decision I’ve made for myself. I was initially quite hesitant as I don’t do well with too much heat. After two to three classes I have gotten used to it (just as the instructors advised).
Ellen and her team are so friendly and happy to answer any questions you have. I can feel my body getting stronger. It’s great practice to tune out the hustle and bustle of life for an hour or so and giving your mind time to recharge. I would highly recommend Achel to anyone interested.

I have been attending classes at Achel in Botany for past few years. It has greatly helped me with my RA condition and in fact it helps with any pain. The experience has been amazing and I definitely see the results in myself. The teachers are great as well. A place I could happily call my second home.

Reasons I shouldn't do yoga:
1) I am pushing 70 years of age
2) After vertigo 15 years ago, my balance is atrocious, and I am like a tall palm tree in the wind when doing balance poses
3) I am 15 lbs overweight and have a very close relationship with Maltesers.
Reasons I LOVE doing yoga:
1) I feel fabulous for the whole rest of the day when I do it
2) I sleep better
3) my skin looks better
4) I have met some very nice people in class
5) the teachers are all amazing: Ellen, the owner, and Barbara, Emily, Craig, Michele to name a few
I have been doing Bikram yoga for 16 years now, and I am convinced it has helped my mental health as well as my self confidence. Its a great place to practice mindfulness and intent, and also a good place to have some laughs. (mostly at myself)
I've been to several studios in New Zealand and in the States. This one ranks up at the top. I'm very glad to have a little Achel in my life!!
