My daughter absolutely loves this class. Mandy is great with the kids and uses innovative mediums which makes it so interesting for them. It's so nice not having to rush and worry about parking etc. I can be preparing dinner while my daughter is happily creating. She looks forward to class every week. Mandy is very encouraging, let's the kids explore their own creativeness while still guiding and giving positive constructive feedback.

What an incredible offering, our 5yr old had the best day at Creative Matters, we're just waiting for her to turn 6 so she can go to the sessions held weekly at her school! Until then we'll be booking her in for days through the holidays. A really well run, organised and fun day. Thank you!!

My two girls have attended many Creative Matters after-school and holiday programmes for the past four years and I can thoroughly recommend them. The teachers are all really caring and put a lot of effort into engaging and developing student creativity by building on what personally inspires them. I love that it seems to be about the reflective process of making art, not just the beauty of the product at the end (although, many of the works that they bring home are amazing!). A truly high-quality children's activity.

My 8years old daughter loves their school holiday programme. She have learnt a lot of new skills and can't wait to show it to rest of the families when home. She also continued what she learnt and explore it further in her own drawings at home and/or when out and about. All the teachers are very friendly and encouraging as well as letting them to create their own ideas.

Creative Matters has allowed my daughter to really engage with her creative mindset. She can explore her personal creativity within a guided setting, resulting in amazing work but also learning about artistic techniques and mediums, art history, problem-solving and how to complete a longer project whilst maintaining her ultimate vision. She also has a lot of fun. Creative Matters really brings an element to my child’s learning that she does not get anywhere else and we highly value all it has to offer.

My 11 y.o. girl was so happy to attend the holiday camp here. I was a bit worried if she is a little too old for the class, but no-- She had a GREAT day! The results are decorating the walls now and we're happy for it. :)

Mandy’s P.D. Sessions are practical, hands-on and full of opportunities to experiment, question and learn new skills. Everything is clearly linked to the Arts Curriculum and delivered in Mandy’s professional, yet relaxed style. These sessions challenge your thinking, up skill and you get to take home your own piece of art as a bonus. I am always inspired after spending a day with her. The children’s holidays workshops are taught by passionate, knowledgeable Artists and Teachers. Children’s individuality, ideas and creativity are valued. They are supported to to unleash their confidence, explore, experiment and learn new skills and techniques. The classes are small, so children are encouraged to interact, question, create and have fun as they produce a piece of art that reflects what they have learnt and is truely their own. My 12 year old daughter Came home buzzing and is so proud of her work.

Both my girls have attended creative matters classes from Year 1 through to year 6 and have absoultley loved their learning, creations and teachers. Now I see them looking at all sorts of day to day objects throuh different artist lenses. They are always beaming after class and have done some really incredible work in all shapes and forms over the years. I find their class environment safe, caring, postive and a diverse creative outlet for them which I can not recommend highly enough.

My daughter Frida has attended Creative Matters holiday workshops at Kumeu Arts Centre nearly every school holiday for the last few years and I cannot recommend them highly enough. She always looks forward to them and comes home extremely proud of her creations. All the tutors are well skilled and foster a creative and encouraging environment for children to explore methods and ideas. Frida has developed confidence to experiment with art, made friends and had lots of fun. Jago and Cassie.

My reserved 6 year old, who has never found colouring in very interesting, has become a wonderful little artist after just one full term of Creative Matters classes, drawing and painting for fun and experimenting with different ways of putting things together at home. Really love our teacher Tanya Blong and how she gets the kids thinking about the creative process of art making.

Great that they look after the kids straight from school doing a supervised afternoon tea then they get into their art. Teachers seem very intuitive on my child's needs and way to approach her to get the most out of each class. Great communication between the teacher and parents on what is happening and expectations.
