R.The main office person was very friendly n helpful the rm was clean and tidy. There was noise frm Ruapuna race track and it was quiet 🤫 loud, mayb due to the horrible wind making noise worse than it was.
Plz supply ashtrays for butts as the rm next to mine had a lot of cigarettes butts around the door and table.More hooks to hang towels. A booklet with Restaurants in the area etc would of helped.and a guide on how to use the TV. Free wifi would of been nice.
Beds could of been more comfortable, but it was only for a few nites.
Warm dry and tidy

The only time anyone was able to clean the room was when it was empty as we were refused entry to change sheets and supply clean linen. The older towels were given as the new ones were stained by her and couldn't be cleaned. Floor was vacuumed when notes were left for her to pick everything up. Often when she was offered clean sheets she refused them. The cleaner only ever moved paperwork from the bed when it was changed after the first week. The bedding was also replaced as it was filthy and needed dry cleaning. The room was filthy and stunk when vacated. Perhaps if you had seen the room before listening to others you would have had a different opinion.
K.Loved staying here, all we wanted as a travelling family was a decent place to sleep for a night before we hit the road again. For a really cheap price (ended up being 40 per person for 5 of us; so much cheaper than anywhere else we looked at) we got a great, modern room with super comfy beds and a massive spa bath. Far surpassed our expectations of a motor lodge. If you're considering staying here I would completely ignore everything said in C Thoms review, nothing that he demanded or expected was ever promised in their website. (I'm under the impression he was expecting a 5 star hotel).. owners made it super easy to book over the phone before we arrived, my only recommendation would be free wifi. 😉
Great experience here, would always go back and stay again.
T.Please do not listen to debbie laby review she has done nothing but lie and cause problems for residents and owners and as for the fact that she left here the reason she left is as her husband said she got permanent accommodation they also left in the middle of the night leaving a fallen down shack and expected it to be there 8 weeks later with out paying a site fee....and it was nothing but dangerous and an eye sore. Bob and Carol are great camp owners and try to maintain camp to a high standard which is hard when people move out and leave messes everywhere. I have lived here for nearly 6 years and love it here

e.Quite expensive for a camping ground, but probably due to the proximity to Christchurch. Small kitchen, but fully equipped. Tv room and friendly staf. No free wifi. Free showers, but rather small toilet facilty, luckily this place is not crowded
s.I lived at alpine view for a long time when I first moved in the owners were in charge then they got managers in who were ment to be their family from Dunedin who were stealing they offered me cheap rent because they said they didn't always clear it they also offered to sell me drugs I used to hate going down to pay rent because I never new if it was actually being paid then Bob and Carol got in new managers who were just as bad.. now Bob and Carol are back and the camp is clean tidy and kept to a high standard I would recommend alpine view for a weekend stay or longer....top notch guys
