A great place to see some very old Totara, Hinau, Matai, and Rewarewa trees. There are 5 different tracks, all are a nice length 1-2hrs, plenty of bird life and great views from the top. Well worth several visits.

Nice day walks, spent the night in the small car park. Got clean flushed toilets at the start of the walk. Some great views at the top.

very much worth a trip, the tracks are beautiful and interesting. The bird life is abundant, I have never heard such a chorus of birds before
The car park is not suitable for long vehicles though.

Extremely well marked tracks with maps at key points. Range of walks - short/long, easy/moderate. Trees. Birds. Vistas. Recommended.

Great walk and markings up Mount Clyde. Not so good on the other side. Have also noticed this when doing the smaller loops. A lot of the markings are hard to find, and your not sure if you are on the right track or going the right way.

So much variety. Tight single track through the bush. Some excellent clearing for views. Then ultimately the trig for views as far as the coast near Castlepoint and all the way back to the Tararua Range.

Terrific tree, views amazing and native birds. Icing on the cake was a visit from a Ruru, more pork.

Trail markings not that great. Brilliant views mind you. No visitor book anymore.
