I have been getting awhi and tautoko from Te Piki Oranga for maybe a year now or just under. I value their service to the community and would recommend Maaori in Whakatuu to take up their awhi and tautoko. Matua Rameka is a massive asset to Te Piki Oranga, the aroha is evident in his approach. I struggled a lot when first asking for help, I still struggle now but slowly Matua Rameka and a couple of others have provided guidance, kai, check ins, koorero, help with WINZ and other appointments. Although sometimes I'm met with Maaori time, I'm still remembered. When Covid came around again, they called. When I didn't have much kai and didn't want to ask for it, they brought kai. When I cried about whaanau and life, they listened. The kaupapa Maaori approach is a leap in the right direction. I feel respected in every koorero. Thank you all so much for your awhi this year. Special thanks to Matua Rameka, Whakatuu is lucky to have you.
