K.YWAM Furnace is really unique. The team here genuinely cares about people and I have grown so much in my relationship with God. The prayer room is a key part of the community and an amazing place to worship, pray, and spend time with God. I have been so blessed by this place.

E.Furnace. The only word to encompass the effects this campus has on your soul. It is as if this base was put under the hole in the ozone for a reason, a purpose. God, himself, can’t help but remove all separations from this team here. The constant cries that He remain Lord of our lives only beckon Him closer. If the Holy Spirit was water, this campus would be the rocks that lay beneath Niagra Falls. Worship is overpowering; like the heavens invade the room and partner in song. Your heart can’t help but read the melody though you understand the grace you have to do so is not given to others. Has peace ever been a true feeling? It’s it just a concept that comes and goes depending on predicaments? I say, here, it is dwelling. The people in this community everyday go to battle for you and for others. Your choice is only to ask. My plea is that you would understand the magnitude of blessing this campus has received. We are dangerous in the eyes of the enemy; we are armed in the tools God has given; our faith ties us down that we may not be shifted. Please come and witness.
W.Love this place. They escort you to your rooms, have candles lit, flowers fresh from the garden. Rooms are wide, bunk beds made from the most exotic woods in NZ.
Toilet paper is so smooth, coffee straight from the amazon jungle. People are friendly and so welcoming.
The morning teas could use an upgrade
J.When I came to YWAM Furnace to do a Discipleship Training School, I was so nervous being so far away from home. But as soon as I stepped into campus I immediately felt at home. The team were really intentional, and made me feel seen, loved, and supported. My time with YWAM Furnace was such a marking experience for me!
J.I love this place! My life has changed, and the team there really walked with me. My favorite part is the prayer room. It’s great that there’s a safe place for the Tauranga community to come and be part of a family. I can’t wait to bring my family here one day.
K.When I was in university in Tauranga, I connected with some mutual friends at YWAM Furnace NZ and started going to Community Nights and hanging out on the weekends. When I was stressed by assignments or overwhelmed with life decisions, the team invited me over, made me a cup of tea, and gave me a place to chill, not perform or even “join their organization”. Yet two years later, those memories and experiences made it a no-brainer to become part of the team at YWAM Furnace. Obviously, there’s been ups and downs, no place is perfect! But the constant message of this community—that I’m valued for WHO I am and not what I can do—has transformed my life and continues to do so.
L.This place changed my life. It combines prayer, worship, and missions to bring Jesus truly to the center of everything they do. Best people, best staff, beautiful campus. They share the campus with faith bible college so during the school months there are some college students on campus as well. Some rooms have bunks some rooms have single beds, just depends on how big the groups are and the ratio of girls and boys. Not a lot of space to have a run or take a long walk. Beds are pretty comfy, pillows are provided. Rooms aren't cooled or heated, theres plug in heaters and fans. Washers and dryers are 2 NZD dollars each or you can hang your stuff to dry. You are about 15 to 20 mins away from the beach or the store or McDonald's, everything is really close. Theres tons of space to play sports including a volleyball court and a small field. The room pictured is where you do most things like classes or worship. I have loved every person I've come across and have 0 regrets as to choosing this place. Theres a lot of space to hangout and the college campus has a small workout room if you need it. This is my favorite place and it became home really fast. I hope you pick to come here. If you want to leave in love with Jesus and changed, I reccomend it 100%.

H.It is a great place with friendly people and a focus on on God through not only the prayer room but also in the relationships and training. It is a beautiful peaceful location out in the country..but close to everything you need in Tauranga.
C.Love this place! You won’t regret it. Grass is so green, cows are so yummy (ahem) I mean friendly, wifi’s unlimited fibre, people are awesome.
There’s a guy name Wills Vi’iga Lokeni that lives there and he’ll teach you how to sing and play drums. Awesome dude!
