We ordered a Korowai for our Sister who after almost 20 years of being a stay at home mum and raising 7 children, returned to study to complete a social practice degree in amongst studying, raising children and being an active member in her community - this purchase was to recognise her dedication, sacrifice and effort across this time and something she could wear proudly and then keep as a taonga for her own whanau! We are based in Perth, but our sister is in NZ, so the process to find the one most appropriate for her, which we felt would represent her and her journey as well as just to being beautiful was so easy to do on the website. It said the turn around time could be a couple of weeks, so we were pleasantly surprised when after only 1 week, we got a message saying it was on its way to its destination in NZ! My sister was so amazed and happy to say the least, with her new taonga which she can now wear proudly when she graduates in a couple of weeks!
