My wife and I held our wedding reception here. We are so glad we did. Helen and Rachel went out of their ways to make it a truly incredible day. We had a lot of people we wanted to invite to our wedding reception (160) and were on a limited budget. We ended up paying $35 per head! And the food quality was fantastic. It really was. So many comments from our guests on the quality of the food. There was no venue hire fee as well, only a deposit which is just part of the total per-head cost. We planned the decorations and the team at Cossie club did all the rest, and they packed it up - again at no extra charge. In an age where customer service is a lost art, we were overly impressed with their service, and the communication was great. So easy to talk to and we had a few ideas/requests which they were more than happy to help with. My parent in laws frequent the place for dinner too and from what I’ve heard, they are also very happy with the food there (we don’t visit there often as we live in Auckland). Overall a fantastic place with very helpful staff and quality food.

This a fabulous place, that arguably caters to a mature clientele. Full bar facilities, gaming room, pool and snooker tables, without any of the "rough & roudy" mob in some hotels and pubs. Light meals of a high standard are available, plus a restaurant for more refined dining. Social membership cost around $30.00 per year, which grants you access to any one of the other clubs, RSA's, etc throughout New Zealand, possibly Australia too, but don't quote me on that.

Food in the cafe has really improved after a recent menu and equipment update. Their Southern Fried Chicken Burgers are great! Their only drawback is the annoying PA system.

I've been a member here on and off over the years. I had a burger and chips last night and honestly the best burger I've had at a club anywhere in New Zealand. A very pleasant surprise.

Prices are reasonable. Entertainment is varied and enjoyable. Darts, pool tables, and casino style gaming available. The food looked and smelled lovely but did not cater to those with food allergies. Social groups were close-knit but not overly welcoming of newcomers. If you know lots of existing members and are free of allergies you would enjoy those friendships and have many affordable and fun evenings in this establishment.

Great spot to get a bit of culture and fries. Sit at the diner and watch races or have a cheeky game of pool. Friendly staff and a host of different events, from bowls to kid's day and everything in between. You might even win a meat pack or a members' prize (requires membership)!

Great atmosphere and the food options are brilliant, the restaurant is away from the bar for a nice quiet dining experience as well as the conference room. Lots of parking and lovely service from the staff. Sports on screen and live bands on given nights who were too notch. Love the memrobelia around the rooms including signed guitars!

Had a meal on new years day. Limited menu and staff due to time of year. Brasserie meal was average with meat being limited quantity and with fat and gristle which was disappointing. Staff were friendly however wait staff were not attentive or concerned with us. Previously felt like a good place to take family for a meal.

Like a super club, has most amenities you could ask for. Courtesy vehical avaliable within the boundaries, special requests can be requested if you fall just out of the zones. Usually pretty good. Nice restaurant and good selections for bar food. Rooms for functions and have adjunct teams for those who like to play competivly, darts, pool, snooker, poker, live bands special performances and other activities I may have missed. Good size games room and a few exhibits things to do for the Youngins including a playroom. Best club I've come across in Wellington

The Upper Hutt Cossie Club is a large venue that contains multiple eating areas, bars, TV screens, pool tables and ither forms of entertainment. It even has it own area for live bands and other performances, as well as plenty of space for dancing. The prices were very inexpensive and the staff were excellent. Very good.

I have never been there until last night and what a great set up! They have a good selection of beers (the Panhead Oatmeal Stout is top rate) and the food is pretty good as well. The venue is light and airy. So much better than the Petone Working Mans Club.

Very loud and busy place to visit. Great prices and food but can only visit if you are a member or with one. Drinks bar is a nice size and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Clean and tidy areas including bathrooms.

Great place with lots to offer, but the food has gone downhill. The roast was pathetic, and evan the lunch burgers have no taste, just a slapt together bun with an egg cup full of chips, and a dry meat Patti in some dead lettuce.

Classic kitsch. Hardly cosmopolitan at all. Instead you feel like you're out in the provinces and it's great. It reminds me of Hastings in the eighties. I love the challenge of sweet talking the dude at the brasserie to get an extra slice of meat. The best thing about the Cossie though is that they have all the kids cocktails they used to have at Cobb&Co.

Well .. we had the the All Day Breakfast .. it was ‘Hot ✅’ it was ‘standard’, it was ‘not what I expected’ a piece of toast, an egg (fried), a triangular hash brown, a piece of bacon, a sausage and half a fried tomato .. I was left ‘wanting’. The BEST thing about the breakfast other than the company was the F A N T A S T I C ☕️ Cappuccino ‼️ If it was a breakfast I would have had it twice over Gold Star ⭐️ from me ✅✅

What an amazing venue. Here for a mini conference and we were looked after wonderfully... excellent facilities, friendly staff (and lots of them), excellent restaurant, top food and beverages. They even have a barista.

Went to a Pop-up business school Aotearoa training event here. Lots of off the road 'free' carparking spaces. Venue was held in a large upstairs room that was professionally set out with desks and comfortable chairs. Tasty snack foods and coffee/tea was supplied through the club. Adequate free guest WiFi was available for course members. We were not disturbed by noise from the normal day to day social side of the Cossie club. Large TV screens on either side of room to present speaker information. Nice, friendly atmosphere. Would go again.

Excellent facility good food friendly bar staff great for family or group gatherings with entertainment for all ages bars lounge big screens kids play area gaming TAB function rooms couched areas. Inside the main bar is abit of a crowded lounge with sit down tables n chairs hard to find a leaner to drink on when busy but the outside area is well set up under cover TV heaters fireplace big wooden leaners seats and tables big area with good atmosphere. Upstairs is a smaller nightclub type bar area that goes off you wouldn't know unless you go up their is isolated and soundproofed from main bar with live band disco and kareoke nights. The sporting areas are well set up maintained and groomed like no other club darts snooker 8ball tables etc like everything at the club all top of the line best money could buy. You will be surprised if you visit this club looks impressive from the outside and just gets better, members are friendly enough especially to visitors tell them you like an activity well dosent take long to get sold a membership and joined into one of the many adjuncts I was joined up as a member 12months ago i like to sing, dance, eat, drink snooker and pool travel from wellington most weekends and some week day evenings get involved where/when I feel I love it! Come to uhcc and you'll find the best club in NZ.
