This Quaker house for travelling quakers is a wonderful refuge. In a city of concrete high rises perched atop an earthquake fault it is a single story, safe, older wooden bungalow which is walking distance to ferries, conference venues, all of Lambton Quay and Tepapa, supermarkets, movie theatres, etc. It feels blessed in the way that spiritually uplifted land and houses are and is staffed by kindly Quakers. It has showers and toilets for each room. The rooms have windows that open to fresh Wellington air and the beds are wonderfully comfortable. I always feel uplifted and heave a huge sigh of relief as soon as I enter it.
