I noticed some shaking and my car struggled to accelerate and climb hills so I brought my Honda in for inspection and Karl gave a very quick diagnosis. He also offered me with different options where I can choose to be much more cost efficient. Great service and the car feels like a brand new car now! Highly recommended.

Very Professional and easy to deal with. Dropped the car off and picked up the following day, even arranged a wheel alignment as well. Transmission service cheaper than expected, would highly recommend.

Had to go through 3 "specialists" and ended up with Karl who made it so simple. Really recommend him and his team as they know European cars for sure!

Complete rebuild done in great time and Karl was helpful with after sales service. Had another garage do the install , Karl worked through the problem they had caused over the phone and got my Landcruiser sorted . Huge knowledge and a great helpful company to deal with .

Wow, awesome service from Karl at Aautomotive today, dropped my Dualis in there for assessment at short notice - they were VERY prompt, the service was great and Karl is very knowledgeable and professional. They certainly are my choice for transmission repairs on the North Shore!

Found this place during Auckland Lockdown. I was trying to get my transmission fixed, and am happy with what I did. Karl who is a manager knows what he says and does and is also open to deal with. He puts options upfront that could work for me and was incredibly helpful. He followed all contactless procedures and offered me a reasonable price. Was happy with their service: kiwi looks after kiwi. Highly recommend the team here.

Found this place while trying to get my transmission fixed, and good thing I did. These guys and Karl particularly were awesome to deal with and were very upfront about everything they were doing and were incredibly helpful. Plus the prices were very reasonable especially for my VW, which was working great after the service. Highly recommend the team here.

I purchased my 1948 Ford F1 Truck in 2013 and from the start he , has been jumping out of top gear on de-acceleration. Numerous people have attempted to fix it, and finally I was told it was an "inherent fault" with the 1948 model. It has been particularly dangerous on the motorway when slowing down in traffic and suddenly the gearstick starts flailing around. Driving with one hand, holding it in place is not an option in high winds, or slowing, turning and trying to indicate, all with one hand or the passenger encouraging the gearstick to stay engaged. Karl was recommended and he immediately said he was able to fix the gearbox, in fact he implied it wasn't a problem and he knew exactly where the fault was located. I was expecting him to have the truck for ever, however, he phoned to explain the diagnosis, then received the parts and it was only a total of a week in the workshop. (this is in restricted Covid times) I picked up the truck on Wednesday, and it is now an absolute pleasure to drive. Thoroughly tested on the motorway - no problem whatsoever. A Automotive and Karl are extremely professional, the result was exactly as promised. Highly recommended.

Had transmission built (t350) before rebuilding car. Returned 3 years later when car was built. For a full check over. Absolutely no problem with gear box or time delay 3 years on. Would be happy to recommend Carl and Aautomotive service was excellent nothing was a problem. Gear box working like a charm.

I decided to go to Karl with my undiagnosed but clearly sick ‘13 Volvo V40 based pretty much on his positive feedback. Glad I did as a week later I had her back better than ever! Not a cheap and nasty fix but instead quality workmanship! The team also have great “after sales” service as a couple of unrelated issues cropped up that they were happy to spend time on. I would have no hesitation recommending Karl and his team to my friends and family.

Seriously A+ service from A Automotive. Really friendly service from Karl, who has a wealth of knowledge and made the experience easy and comfortable for someone with little knowledge of cars. My transmission failed in my car on Monday, parts ordered on Tuesday - Karl advised they would arrive within 3 business days, so I was expecting early the following week, but I get a call from Karl saying my car is ready on Friday. After having my transmission rebuilt by another trans company in Silverdale who refused to stand by there warranty Karl and his guys fixed my car for me. Very happy with his knowledge and ability. Highly recommend this company for an honest good job.

When we needed a TH350 transmission we looked locally in Dunedin but couldn't get the replies we needed to move forward. We seen Aautomotive on a Trademe listing and contacted them directly to enquire. Karl followed up with a phone call to discuss exact requirements and from there the transaction was too easy. The quoted price was really good, and the trans arrived really quickly, the shipping was included in that price, which again was so good! Check out these guys - you wont be disappointed. Karl and the team couldn’t have been better! I just got to Auckland for a three week trip and my Transmission had no more life, causing a huge bump in the road! Within 24 hours of bringing it in I had a quote for a replacement at a decent price and a guarantee all would be ok! Highly recommended. Carl and his team are skilled, professional and offer great customer service. I took my Outlander PHEV to AAutomotive for a second opinion on a knocking noise, that I had been told by another garage could only be solved by fitting a new $10k gearbox. For $115 Carl diagnosed and fixed the actual problem - a poorly fitted axle nut. He saved me a lot of money. I'd definitely go back and will recommend AAutomotive to friends and family.

I took my car in for a transmission rebuild , Karl and his team were so nice to deal with . I had been to another shop and they had given me a much bigger estimate , so I was very happy that there price was better for the same amount of parts and work . Would I come back , the answer is definitely yes. I am recommending this company to everyone I know , great price , great service , very pleasant guys to deal with .

I experienced a driveshaft related vibration for 14 months and used and paid for the services of multiple repairers including Beattys Driveline (6 visits to East Tamaki from the Northshore. Mercedes Benz (Northshore 3 visits), all of these repairers failed to identify the problem. ***1 visit to Karl who was an absolute pleasure to deal with and extremely knowledgeable. AAutomotive diagnosed and promptly repaired the issue to my satisfaction at an acceptable rate. Thank you Karl for the Top Notch Service…..thanks Shiraz

I am a female and I am not that familiar with car repairs or for that matter how a car works. My transmission failed in my Audi and Karl and his guys came to my rescue . They did a great job on my car and the price was very good . When I went to pick the car up the nice lady in the office was so pleasant to deal with and very helpful . If I could give 6 stars I would ,took my Landcruiser for a trans rebuild and Karl's team did a fantastic job . I have owned this vehicle for years and do a lot of towing , Karl's advise on building a different type of converter was spot on .The vehicle has never ran so well and tows my trailer way better. Hey guys My name is Brad. I've got a nissan xtrail the gear's wouldn't change it was done for. I looked everywhere for some help most of the transmission companies spoke more about money starting at $4500 to $5000 A Automotive here was out of my way I'm from the coromandel they did the job for me and was well worth the effort. I had transmission problems on a second hand Nissan cube (2006). The transmission was stuffed, the bearings were worn out and metal had gone through the gears. It cost a around $3900 to recondition and has been going smoothly for the last year. I needed something done for my wof and they charged me $100/hour for the work they did! They did a good job but I won't be going back because I felt like they were ripping me off.
