Great service at Auto Garage, as always. Booked for a WOF, service and wheel bearing replacement. Tony and Michelle took care of everything from start to finish at a good price. Highly recommend this garage.

These guys are awesome. As a young female who knows nothing about cars they were very straight up about what my car actually needed, I could of walked out paying a lot more than I did to so I really appreciated the honesty! Shout out to Michelle who was super helpful on the phone as well 10/10 would recommend!

Easily the best vehicle mechanic we've used. Honest, reliable, friendly, excellent value, great work - Tony's knowledge across a huge range of vehicles is second to none, and if he doesn't know it, he's the first to figure it out for you. Plus they offer reliable loan vehicles!

Such a good experience. Picked up and dropped off my car which makes it zero effort on my end. Called me to advise of work that needed doing, kindly and politely, aware that it was a lot of money. Broke down the costs for me. Super friendly. At the end it came in slightly under the quote, which is far better than the usual opposite experience. Thank you!

Reasonably difficult job to change a front headlight bulb on my Jeep Grand Cherokee but they completed a very good job and in a timely manner. Definitely recommend these guys.

Tony knows his stuff and is clearly passionate about cars. Not only did the team fix up my car but they did so when my wife went into labour and dropped the car off home with a wonderful surprise gift. Next level customer service! Thanks Tony and team 👍

Came in a little stressed in need of a new battery. The guys helped out immediately with finding a battery and driving to the other garage where my car was stranded. Really good and prompt service.

Tony and the team are amazing and I couldn't recommend them highly enough. Communication is thorough and clear enough to gain understanding of work needing to be done. I trust that the work completed is of the highest quality and is only done on a as needed basis with a reasonable and competitive price. Great friendly service. Took my car in for WOF and service and was notified promptly what needed repairs and why. Was told they would need to keep it overnight but they got it done by the afternoon. Will be back in a year unless I need repairs sooner :) Thanks, Greer.

Always such an amazing service experience with this team. Always helpful and do the little extras like put wheel shine on after a WOF and the car freshner and lollies on your passenger seat. It is the little things in life that makes the difference and these guys always to the extra for you.

Absolutely brilliant. Was in a panic as had to pick up my elderly father from hospital. The staff dropped everything and helped me! Great staff, pricing and amazing service.

Happy with mechanic and team as communicated well condition of car & quickly provided value new tires, (already knew would likely need these from previous inspection). Also advised & showed me another item which needed replacing, (which was warranted). Other than the cold waiting room, service & price was good. They are a great team at Auto Garage and have looked after my various cars for years. They are always looking at ways of improving their service and are great at tracking down parts and solutions. Very knowledgeable on my V8 and on our electric car. Highly recommended.

I would highly recommend this business. My car went in for a diagnostic after barely not driving anymore and came back a car that drives like a dream. They did everything from a new transmission , to a crank sensor to a wheel alignment to a warrant of fitness and even discovered that my airbag had been recalled and organized that too. I can’t thank everyone involved from the owner to the mechanics to the lovely receptionists enough for a fantastic experience. Will only go back there again for all my auto needs.

Great service and value for money. We booked in for a service and WOF this time. Also appreciated they fixed our brake pads at short notice previously before we were going on a long drive. Highly recommend

Stopped in yesterday with an engine light problem. Have to say the girl at reception was fantastic. Helpful, pleasant, attentive. Unheard of in the auto industry. Then a young blond guy came out to help me. He was awesome polite and helpful too. Great start to the week. If ully recommend them.

Great value - efficient, high quality and good guys

Tony and his team have provided an excellent service to me on several occasions for a variety of vehicles. It's always been a pleasant experience - from the warm and efficient welcome at their reception counter to the skilled service from the workshop staff and great communication along the way. and it's handy to be able to get a w.o.f. done at a place where they can also take care of any problems required to pass the test.

Had my car go in at the start of the covid lockdown, with a large list of servicing I wanted done + wof. A couple other issues were identified which Tony and his team communicated to me at each stage. One of which was a worn steering rack...NZ post lost my steering rack for a few weeks (they'll be getting their own review) but Tony and the team kept me updated throughout as they tried to track it down and made sure I had a courtesy car to keep me mobile. As soon as they had it everything was put back together asap and got the car back out to me. I noticed a vibration on my first test drive, within the day Tony had the car back for a full check over of their work and then sent a mechanic out to come with me for my next test drive to make sure I was happy with it. Absolutely recommend Auto Garage because of their communication, professionalism, positive attitudes, and willingness to go the extra mile for customer peace of mind. Thank you to the team for perservering through what was an interesting debacle with NZPost and Covid-19 Will be coming back for the rest of my vehicle servicing in the future. Josiah

Went here for a WOF. Great service and very honest and reliable. In the past I've been to lots of mechanics who make up problems to get work, I'm a hobby mechanic and I know what's what, I trust these guys.

Absolute legends. My car battery had died and I had 30 mins before I needed to be at an appointment which I thought I was going to completely miss. However they got someone out to me, replaced my battery, and I was on my way and only 5 mins late to my appointment! So happy. Everyone I spoke to at Auto Garage and Marshall Batteries, and the mechanic that came out, were super friendly and helpful - I felt like they went above and beyond to make sure I was back on the road asap. Thank you so much!

I don't know much at all about cars which always makes me nervous when I take my car to a garage. But Tony Dawson & co were so thorough in explaining what needed doing & why, gave me options & timeframes for things that should be done or could be left to a later date (to make things more economical) that it totally put me at ease. Honest, friendly & efficient service = happy customer!

In late 2016, the business changed ownership and Auto Garage was started. The owner and lead mechanic has decades of automotive engineering experience including motorsport racing. He is a long time friend of mine and I can honestly say one of the most ethical mechanics I know. This is my go-to for any automotive servicing and repairs.

Had a battery that was purchased in August 2018 & had problems with it. Battery town stood by there warranty & replaced it with a brand new 1...had approximately 16mths left on the warranty....
