I went here based on the reviews so knew I would be getting some advice from people who knew what they were talking about. What I didn’t expect was how unbelievably friendly and gracious mark and the team would be - even though I didn’t get any paid work done by them. Would not hesitate to go straight to them for anything car related in the future

Brilliant service. Absolutely wonderful. So pleased I went to them before anyone else. Solved the problem why my car wouldn't start in less than an hour after coming to my house to get the vehicle started. Highly recommended.

Really happy with the service and work. It can be a game of pot luck finding a good shop that doesn't try to rip you off and I'm really glad I found them. Highly recommended.

Hands down best customer service experience I have come across! I dropped my van off for a brakes check after failing a WOF and urgently needed it checked in time for the re-check. Not only did the they go out their way to fit me into their busy schedule but they drove my van up the road to get re-checked at the WOF where it passed. I was only charged for an hour of their time. Upon picking up my van I was kindly greeted once again and some other minor issues with the vehicle were bought to my attention.

Booked the car in, dropped it off, finished in a few short hours. Not only was the work completed at light speed but the staff was friendly, helpful and professional throughout the entire experience. Thank you, excellent service.

Been to BAS a few times now, They are awesome, honest and their work is top notch. We fixed a broken window mechanism and they took care of everything and always kept us up to day. I go there for my cars Maintenance. I would recommend you try them for yourself they don’t disappoint

The team deserve five star rating. I went to them after failing WOF for brake pads, they quickly book me in for the replacement and done the job very fast. They also went extra mile to have the WOF recheck done for me , how nice! I would recommend them to my friends.

Absolutely fantastic place. I was looking for a new mechanic near my work, as I had just changed jobs, and couldn't look past the 20+ 5 star reviews. I was having issues with my clutch, and was quoted $950 to replace it. Took it in that morning, and received a call in the afternoon to let me know that they were actually able to repair instead of replace, and saved me over $700!

My daughter needed emergency repairs and lives in that part of Auckland, saw the reviews so sent her there.They checked it on the spot and booked a time to come back, I'm blown away.Never been there before and they were willing to come in early on a Sat so she could drop car off due to her working as well. Honesty! Quoted the job, let me pay by bank transfer, phoned me on Sat to advise they were doing job a bit differently so wouldn't cost more in replacement parts but be just as safe, then contacted me Monday to say they repaired instead of replaced a part as per quote and needed to refund me back some money!!! If you live in that part of town and have a car then you're bloody lucky with a business like this to service it.

Great customer service as always from Bobby and Mark at Brake and Auto Browns Bay. Had a pretty bad day after a crash and they stayed late just to check my car over make sure everything was okay. Managed to put a smile on my face too!

Had an emergency with my brakes and the team at BAS made a slot for me to get me on the road again. Their service was amazing and the honesty shown was refreshing even charged me less than quotation as they resolved my issue in a shorter time frame. AA did a check on the car i am selling and found an oil leak and worn CV. Took it to BAAS - guys inspected the car, found the oil leak was a loose clip on a hose and the CV joint was not leaking at all. Very good service, efficient and friendly and would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking.

I went to WOF Browns Bay (BAS) for my WOF (ALSO called Brake and Auto services) and they have been nothing but amazingly helpful. I'm a female student who knows literally nothing about cars, but Jacky and her team helped me fix all the problems on my car. Mechanics and car stuff is really not my scene, but they made me feel so comfortable and were such genuinely friendly people. They really made me feel looked after. Their wof's are $45 for regulars but this was my first time and they still gave me the regulars discount. And when my wheel bearing needed to be replaced they gave me a good price charging only $212 instead of $400 which is what another mechanic quoted. I honestly wouldn't go anywhere else now that I have found them. They are located down a long driveway, if you're looking for a mechanic, I honestly couldn't recommend them enough.

5/5 Stars. Fantastic, friendly service, with real honesty. If you are looking for a quality mechanic, look no further.

12/2017: I called up Bob on Saturday morning with a fairly urgent request to inspect and fix my rear brakes on my van. He managed to squeeze me in on Monday first thing in the morning. Communication was great, as soon as he knew what the problem was he let me know. Even though new parts were required, he managed to get them couriered in on the same day and the van was ready to pick up by the afternoon. Bob also took the van to VTNZ to get the brakes re-checked. I appreciated the clear explanations of what was wrong and the fact that the folk at BAS are honest. If something doesn't need fixing or replacing they will tell you the truth. Warm regards to the team at BAS. 19/12/2018: Even though I have moved to the city now, I'd still go to BAS in Browns Bay because I know I can trust BAS. I am once again so impressed with the folk at BAS. Many thanks to Jackie for squeezing my van in before X-mas. Many thanks to Mark for once again solving my problem and verifying at the VTNZ with a crisp new COF. I really appreciate your integrity and devotion to your customers. You guys rock!

I need to take a vehicle maintenance for my car, and searched service supplier in google maps. Then i found this service station has a good reputation. So i came here this afternoon. Beside the regular maintenance, i need to replace the wiper too. They provide a professional service for my car, but unfortunately they did not find the right wiper. So they suggested me to go to City Nissan to replace it, and contacted that shop for me. BTW, when they told me the price is NZD 46 for each wiper, i thought they would charge me NZD 92, because there are 2 wiper in a car! But in fact, in their words, each wiper just means a pair of wiper, not a piece of wiper.
