I got a full transfer case & gearbox rebuild and I'm very impressed with the professionalism and quality of work done. I dealt with Paul Initially and felt the service was on point. After a small issue (unrelated to the work done) arose I went back and got them to double check their work as I thought something had gone wrong, to my surprise Chris did a complete check. Fully pulled apart both units and reassembled free of charge and found no issues at all. I'm very happy with my experience with the Gearbox Factory and would send friends and family without hesitation. Thanks Paul & Chris

Amazing experience at The Gearbox Factory. Extremely knowledgeable team. Diagnosed my car's issue quickly, then referred me to Ford, informing me of the possibility of the issue being covered under an extended warranty. They could have carried out the work themselves and made money, instead they did the right thing by me. I took my car to the Gearbox factory last November with a grinding sound possibly coming from its CVT transmission. Toyota dealers couldn't figure out the problem and were saying they will need to take apart the transmission and would make sense for me to rather buy a second hand transmission. With only 70000KM on the ODO, I didn't want to spend money on the second hand transmission. Brian from Gearbox factory was able to help. Not only that the problem got resolved, but I feel that my car has got more torque than before. I have been driving and have done over 7000KM since the repair, the car is perfectly running fine. Each time I sit in the car to drive, it reminds me that how great the job was done by the Gearbox Factory Team. Thanks guys!

I dont normally do this but credit where credit is due. The Henderson branch were great to deal with in a very professional manner during my recent gearbox rebuild. I experienced wonderful service from Jeff and the crew at The Gearbox Factory West Auckland. In May, the transmission in my Mum's car suddenly gave way and we were needing fast and efficient service. We experienced this with the team here. They were very helpful and advised me on what needed to be done, and notified me of the cost before going ahead and doing anything. Graeme Wright. Twice in the last 2 years I have had problems with my auto gearbox. Both times they have worked out what the problem is, which was not the gearbox. My Toyota MR-S was making some bad noises that I suspected were gearbox related so I took it in to Gearbox factory. After a road test they were able to determine the exact problem and provided me with a solution and cost estimate for the repair. The car was booked in and the work was done promptly. The final invoice came in less than the original quote so that was a nice bonus, and was very honest of them. Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful service. Very good reputation. Brian the onwer/ manager was very helpful to get me back on the road. Even after making him aware of a couple of little problems with the rebuilt differential. Just great people to deal with. The Fully rebuilt Transmission shifts strong and feels great now on my 04 Holden vy ss v8 ute. Would definitely recommend this repair shop to others.

I took my car in because there was some slipping when changing lower gears. Got a diagnosis and eventually a replacement DSG clutch. They sorted the all the mechanical insurance stuff for me. Awesome after-sales service too. Had a slight alignment problem afterwards and they sorted it out without question. Car drives pretty sweet now.

Handy location but couldn't diagnose fault on my car. It was a broken engine mount but they said have to rebuild the Gearbox.

Went in to get my trans flushed had it booked for 9am and by 130pm they had finally finished my wife gives me the receipt and I find out that the wrong fluid was used so I ring and talk to Brian after a small argument I went back to have another argument with Brian about the fluid for my car he did say he did see the sticker on the dip stick for the trans but he knew better which he didn't. So in the end he did another flush and put the right fluid in.........long story short DON'T TALK TO BRIAN but the rest of the team seem good
