Awesome company to deal with they are always super friendly and helpful. When I dropped off my vehicle they did advise me they where short staffed due to the effects of covid but they still went above and beyond when a tool they required for my vehicle was at another site and they still made sure to get it and get the job done. Much appreciated thank you.

I normally use a garage close to work (South Auckland) for my regular servicing needs, but had to find a local option while I was working from home. KAAR were one of the garages recommended on the community Facebook page, and were close to me, so I filled out the online form and got a reply before 7am on the first working day after my email. My car failed its WOF due to a worn seatbelt. I got a call within a couple of hours after dropping off the car, and was advised of the options and costs. They arranged a loan car at short notice and sent the seatbelt away to be re-webbed. It came back quicker than expected and my car was ready before the long weekend, which was a pleasant surprise. Communication was excellent, I thought the pricing was reasonable and the service was great. A really good local operator, highly recommended.

I brought my car here for the first time today, very impressed with the setup and communication. The repairs to my aircon came in under what I was expecting which is always a bonus. I was very cool and comfortable on the drive home eating my complimentary jelly beans. Thank you, I’ll definitely be coming back for my next service 😊

Blair and the KAAR team managed to fit me in for a service and WOF at short notice before Christmas. Communication was prompt, friendly and helpful. Blair stayed behind after the workshop closed to give me time to race over and collect my vehicle. So appreciated at a busy time of year, thank you!

I took my car in for a much needed service. They were thorough in what needed to be done with my car and gave me an estimated quote of how much it would cost. My car had to stay in the shop a little longer than expected (Wasn't their fault though.) They updated me each day about what was happening, gave me a loan car to use and also felt the need to compensate by issuing me a new WOF. (My WOF wasn't due for another month.) Really happy with the service. Thank you!

My car has been serviced by the team at KAAR Avondale for over 6 years and they are great bunch of people. Just picked the car up today for its 6 months service and it sounds and runs great... Cheers guys, see you in six months time 👍

These guys were definitely worth the money I paid. Was very upfront and honest. Amazing service and great communication with Blair throughout the whole process of my service and brakes repair. Great mechanic shop. I had been told by another mechanic I had thousands of dollars in repairs. I took it to KAAR who showed me the other mechanic had misdiagnosed my car and it ended up costing me less than one thousand. They explained everything really well and we’re friendly and professional throughout. Highly recommended!

My engine in my Kia Optima died and I took it to KAAR to see what they can do. Kelvin and the team searched NZ wide for a new engine and, after searching far and wide, they managed to find a new engine. KAAR MOTOR AUTO SHOP ....Very satisfied with customer services and how they went about their business! Although it took longer then expected to repair the back brakes on both wheels, because of unfortunate circumstances attaining items needed for the job, i was very satisfied with the outcome. If you want quality work done this is one place that i would come back to!

Late in the afternoon I notice my car temperature started to skyrocket and had me worried; so I phoned KAAR and they offered tow truck to take my car to their shop, as they wanted to prevent any further damage, and offered me a courtesy car in the mean time. By early the following morning they had inspected the car and informed me that the radiator was damaged beyond repair, and needed a new one. They were able to quote source, AND have delivered a new radiator within the SAME DAY, even when other shops said they were having multi day/week delays getting shipments due to the pandemic. The day after that, the car was finished and ready to take home, even though the repair job required taking the entire front section of the car to bits. Great service, very fast and professional. Highly recommend.

KAAR have serviced our two family cars for many years. They are great to deal with and certainly take pride in their work. My most recent experience was last week 2/9/19 when I took my pride and joy - 2000 Holden Calais VT International Series - in for a 120k service. In addition to the service, they put right several other issues that they picked during the service. Yes, they took a couple of days to get things all sorted, but the wait was well worth it. The outcome was that I now have a car that runs like a dream. I certainly appreciate the expertise they brought to bear. Well done to all concerned.

Had an issue with my Power Steering. KAAR Avondale we're able to take the car immediately and resolved the issue quickly and efficiently. Turned out it was caused by the battery which they diagnosed and resolved.

I had to write a review, been looking for a mechanic that you can trust and gives a fair deal. I feel I have found one. My cars "Check Engine" had been on for a while, Kaar Avondale took my car in within minutes of phoning, even tho they were really busy. May not of been able to get to it till next day, tho when you are provide with a courtesy car, helps immensely. They identified the problem, suggested the best way forward. The parts were not cheap, and I felt they did what they could to keep the price as low as possible. Great service, they have all the skills required to maintain and service you car. They will be getting my business from now on. Thanks Gavin.

Over the course of quite a few problematic vehicles! the team at KAAR has always been outstanding. As much as everyone at KAAR is always helpful and professional, they have one particular amazing asset that makes a world of difference... Clark is just fabulous to deal with, and if I could clone him and put him in as the front man for every business I dealt with, I surely would! I've always have faith with you guys. But after that incident that made me return to you back and forth for 4 times because didn't really get the job done properly, was pretty overwhelmed. My vehicle's head gasket started leaking already. Don't think I'll go back. Friendly and helpful otherwise. But the workmanship, just not up to par. Cheers
