C.Had a great experience sitting my restricted test here. My instructor Rohan made me feel relaxed and easy on the road!! Loved his general tips at the end and allowing me to explain myself. Felt like I was truly being taught aspects of driving and I appreciated that! Recommend!
G.Had booked a pre-purchase inspection, and it turned out a great experience! The mechanic was super thorough, he even came out and showed where everything on the report was referring to on the car. He was able to tell whether the damages were structural or not which you would expect from a mechanic, obviously, but he was very direct and honest. Also Rohan in the main office was very friendly, helpful and coordinated our experience wonderfully. Really recommend! Only point to improve is when we called earlier in the day they didn't pick up the phone: turned out it was Driving licences test day so quite busy, yet for other customers it'd be great to have a point of contact.
V.I had my full licence test with Ms Carolyn. She helped me feel calm and focused on the road - very professional indeed. The outcome: a straight pass of course. Thank you Ms Carolyn for helping me feel reassured :-)
K.Great customer service. But lost a star due to average photography skills. Went to renew my Full license, everything went well until the photo booth.
I was photo ready but the camera wasn't. Didn't take long to adjust but got abit distracted and took the photo. Got my license through the mail and my photo look like a mug shot just from that distraction in the photo booth. In AA they offer to show your photo on screen and if you don't like it you can take another one.
So now I got that photo for the next ten years. VTNZ need to improve in that area.
n.Failed twise with Mark(Genuine fail) and Rohan (very rude, tod me more mistakes then first test and also ask me i need to take driving test which he shouldn't tell anybody he only finish my test in less then 15 minutes. Very unprofessional ) Third time NASSER was inspector. Explained properly and calm me down before we took off. Took full test. What a gental man. Wish you best NASSER.
A.I gave my full license today after failed attempts elsewhere. The driving instructor (Nasser) was very calm and gave a fair assessment. He pointed out my positives ,negatives and one critical error. Finally passed today.
J.Best place to get your warrant of fitness. Any thing wrong they will find it. I always feel safe driving on the road knowing they are looking after my safety. No short cuts.

V.I sat my full driving license test here, I was quite intimidated by the other reviews that people had said regarding this station. However I had the best experience ever the staff at the desk were so lovely and helped guide me on what I needed to fill out. Hazzy was my driving inspector and if you get him he is overall amazing he gave clear instructions and was very understanding cause he knew how nervous I was :) I passed so overall great experience !!!!!
A.I went to VTNZ Glen Innes for the practical test to convert an overseas licence to full NZ licence. I arrived 15min early, so they were able to do my test earlier. Driving examiner was Gerard, he was firm and straight forward with his communication. He gave clear and timely directions during the test. Even though I had only 1 critical error, I passed and Gerard took the time to explain error and what I should have done. Overall, satisfied with the service.
l.I sat my full driving test with test officer Carolyn, she gave me clear direction, I was so comfortable and not very nervous through out the test. I pass the test and although I have 1 critical error she point out and explained to me so well thats for my future references. It was such a great experience. Thank you
A.A good place to to do your car servicing, WOF, and even driving test ( theory and practical) but they won't do the booking for overseas conversion test exam though you can test here but can't do booking which is very strange.
J.When for my license testing, very much luck of the draw to which tester you get.
Some need a lot of training on how to give feedback. Others are very calm and very wholesome.good luck.

z.Hope and pray you get Mark if you are coming to sit your restricted (or full) test here. He was so calm, friendly, and had a great energy. Totally reasonable, and didn't have that 'out to fail youngsters' attitude.
There was one staff member/instructor working there when I arrived that was so intimidating because he looked miserable and wouldn't smile or anything (maybe the one getting bad reviews?) and I was so glad I didn't have to sit with him in the car for an hour because that would have been torture.
Mark is the best —made my day!!
B.I went to do my full license test today.
My instructor was Mark. He went through all the procedures at the start, checking car etc and explaining how the test works. He gave very clear instructions where to drive. I felt that he was fair and gave me good feedback. I highly recommend this place if you want to do your license.

C.This morning I sat my restricted.
My instructor was Mark. He was calm, straightforward very thorough with directions and the particular tasks that I needed to carry out.
For me he reminded me of my uncle speak only when he needs to no unnecessary chat which I like. His criticism was constructive something that will help me become an even better driver than I am now.
As for the centre and every other staff they were all great they were busy but still managed to ask if I needed help with anything.
Facilities are clean and tidy.
My overall experience was really good.I highly recommend this VTNZ not just because I passed but because my experience with them was good.
I had it in my head that I would write a good review for these guys even if I didnt pass. This is my honest opinion!
1.Be confident! Noone wants to be in a car with a driver who isn't.
2.Take the criticism and use it to your advantage. It will help.
3.Be organised.They say go in half an hour early but I checked their busy times so I went in an hour early to do the paper work photo and eye test.
4.Knowledge. I have never driven around that area before ever!This was my very first time. If you know your speed, stop signs,giveway signs, indicators and mirror and blind spot checks your a good driver anywhere. Im not perfect not at all but I do my best to think safety comes first for those around me due to being a victim of a crash years ago.
Anyway i hope this answers everyones questions. Many big thanks to these guys especially Mark your the best!

L.I'm sure you get lots of reviews from salty customers who've failed practical tests, and the mistake I made today to not be able to sit my full was completely my fault, but is a bit of politeness and decency from some of the staff too much to ask for?

L.Good service, friendly staff and clean site. This location is very vigilant and they do a proper job. If it's a WOF check up for your cars safety then this is the place to go. They also offer an excellent vehicle pre purchase inspection service, so if you're thinking of buying a car - take it here first. Easy to find on one of Glen Innes's main roads and has plenty of parking.
M.Even though there was a bit of a wait they were reasonably quick and professional. Had previously gone to the AA in GI who don't seem to be as well organised.
M.I have been using VTNZ in Glen Innes 5+ years. They have friendly helpful customer service staff. The vehicle inspection technicians are skilled and provide good service and advice.

G.Here I did my Practical Test, my evaluator was Mr. Nasser, a fair evaluator, quite serious but cordial, with a relax and calming personality and with an excellent evaluating criteria, the attention is very good, the facilities clean, it is difficult to find where to park but it is worth it, here you You will save many frustrations, well prepared people.

L.The Customer Service lady in the office was so friendly compared to another VTNZ I won't mention. Only give 4 stars cos of the covid rules, you have to stand outside in the carpark and it was stinkin hot and I was getting burned and sweating like a pig.
