Came in for practical driving test, great service wait wasn't too long as they have booths for both service and licensing. I was fortunate to have Jay as the testing officer, very outgoing and friendly attitude that made the whole process less stressful. Overall good service cheers.

People were very kind & helpful. Room to park your car on & off site, nice roomy reception area with TV, toilet was clean & tidy. I was able to sit & wait for my son to do his 1hr Restricted Test in cool comfort 😎

Hi everyone, I had my restricted driving license here on Friday. The officer I had is EU he is very claim and good, while I was driving he give me proper instructions which was so clear for me while driving. However, he was so friendly as well during the test and most importantly he is one of the very best instructor I haven’t seen In any VTNZ still so far. Finally, EU is awesome 👌👌👍👍

EU was super friendly, calm and professional. He was very clear on his instructions and the restricted practical test was a great experience overall, all staff were pretty friendly and service was quick.

Took my car in for a WOF and it was done in a timely manner.....decided to go during the week as weekends are usually busy. I usually go to the avondale branch but i was in New Lynn at the time so decided to stop by. The place was clean and tidy, recieved professional service with a smile. The prices have slightly increased to $69 for a WOF.

I got there at 15:25 with my completed driver's licence application forms and was seen just after 16:00, I think. Three stars for the wait- they are quite busy and I believe they may be under-staffed or so as staff in the office look quite tired. Jay, who sees you at the entrance and directs you as to the process to follow, gets 5 stars for his great customer service! He informs you of what to expect in an inviting, friendly manner. In the 30 mins I was there, I observed him display good humour, patience and helpfulness with customers. He is obviously a people person who loves his job!

Out of the main road. Good parking, friendly service. Recommend to all. Would be nice if manager kept it open more often in holiday season

I sat my restricted test here and had jay twice he is amazing at explaining what you did wrong to improve for next time and sets a very calm environment throughout the test .

To hey be were great. We had to to go back by for recheck and they also checked to make sure of the part fixed.

According to my visit. I think, You will get your turn in 35 - 40 mins. Which is good without any appointments, where you must reach on time.

No cue when I arrived so I thought that was good. Time spent waiting has improved since the last few times I used them but I feel like there is still room for improvement. The price for WOF continue to increase each time so I am starting to look around for alternatives.

Parking on the surrounding streets is difficult if you're coming here for anything other than a warrant. Often queues as it's slow going work. Desk staff could be more well informed.

I did my practical driving test here and had Jay as my instructor. He could tell I was nervous and he was very friendly, helpful and patient! He gave me clear instructions and was very informative on things I did well and what I could improve on. I can only hope other testers get someone as great as him! Made the whole experience a lot less stressful!

Very professional/ efficient and thorough, plenty of parking providing you get there early.

I had my driving test more than once, so had experience of EU G and James as my instructor. EU G gave clear instruction during the test and fair feedback after the test. I passed with James. He was very friendly and made me feel relaxed. There was a lot of roadwork along the test route, but James gave very clear instruction and was very easy to follow. The only issue I had was the application process before my first test. I arrived 30 minutes before my test, there was a long queue and only one counter was open. I almost missed my test.

Awesome! They were happy to complete a vehicle recheck at 5:15pm after I had driven across town to get it completed before they closed at 5:30

Excellent experience today. Fraser was very warm and friendly and was being helpful to tell me to breathe and relax, as I was more nervous than usual. I passed my restricted driving test first go today. Clear communication. Fair feedback.

Is reasonably convenient although since C19 is no longer open on Sundays. Nothing special but I use as a testing station for my trailer WoF.

I dealt with an older dude(Richard I think) doing motorcycle wof's and it was awesome. 10/10 👏 👏 👏

My son sat his restricted licence today and his instructor Jan S was amazing. He came to find us, as I had told him we had had to park on the road. He introduced himself to both myself and my son and them informed me of where I could go for a coffee. He also thanked us for being early. My son said he made him feel totally at ease during his test and he complemented my son on the work he had done to prepare himself for the test. Thank you very much Jan S you are a credit to VTNZ a very positive experience.

Today I passed successfully Full licence test with no Critical Error's with the test officer Jay. He is very relaxing calm man and very co-operative. He is good and supoportive man.I would recommend doing your restricted or full licence test at VYNZ New lynn and if you are lucky.. You will get Jay.. 💐💐

My favorite VTNZ office team Auckland wide, extremely helpful, friendly and with efficient customer service skills, keep it up ladies and gentleman and I keep returning for all our vehicles LTNZ annual requirements. Your infectious smile is very catching and I always walk out wearing one too. 10/10

I did my practical driving test in new lyn and Marino R was my instructor. He gave me clear instructions and was friendly. He instructed me on things that I could improve. It was a good experience.

Very easy processing: obvious where to drive into and which lanes to use depending on vehicle type. Registering easy and straight forward. Was second car in Queue so wait was reasonable. Time waiting spent watching the inspection in action. Good care taken of car, opening and closing doors, boot, bonnet. Great to see staff inspecting under the car do not enter the car. Staff member carrying out my inspection friendly and very informative. Price a little more expensive than others.e.g. AA. Forgot to ask if NZGOLDCARD helped price.

What i particularly liked about my visit with VTNZ New Lynn is i know I will get an honest service and it's always kept well.

Went around 2, 3 in the afternoon. It was not busy at all and they were able to have a look at my bike immediately. The inspector explained what would be deficient in the near future to pre-empt having it looked at. No complaints whatsoever.

Staff were polite and helpful. I was able to get my learners license with only about five minute of waiting.

Hello, just wanted thank the team at VTNZ, especially my driving officer James! He was amazing, and kept me calm when I was super nervous during my restricted. He is very professional and polite. Thank you James, you are amazing!

Went off peak hours. Weekday 2 pm. And took approximately 1 hour start to finish. First timers have no way to know that wof payment has to be made before. Some instructions around that would help as i waited on car only to figure out later that need to pay first to get in q.

Lucky I got a park. When I came back for the wiper spray to be rechecked I had to wait a long time. Would have thought customers there for a very minor recheck would get priority but it was very busy which is always the case here

Went for my full test last month, the person assessing my driving skills was Jay, a very professional and appreciable person at his job, did guide me perfect through the testing process and also did not make unnecessary pointing out as some of them really do at VTNZ. I really wish that vtnz appoints more people like him who do not sit through with the intention to fail people. Rather make them comfortable and let them give their best at their tests.

A bit pricey for a WoF but the team does a solid job and no booking is required. I was seen to shortly after I arrived at 2pm on Monday but that changes depending on the time of day. The mechanic checking my car gave the headlights a polish for free, which I was very appreciative of. He also let me know that the oil needed a top up (which I knew) but it is good to see he was being thorough and will let customers know about issues such as engine oil that are not technically required to be checked just for a WoF.

Went for a WOF today. Excellent and efficient service by the workshop team, they pretty much had my car done by the time I got thru the contact tracing and payment process. Cheers Team

My experience with VTNZ New Lynn. The admin staff, they were nice to me, the company is very customer focused & efficient. I passed my restricted test, all my testing officer who I went with, was friendly & they gave me clear instructions. Some of my colleagues told me not to go to VTNZ New Lynn, they will make me fail? This is ridiculous, is NOT TRUE. I agree with some people who said their testing officer was not nice or friendly to them but in my experience I would say luck who we get. I was lucky to get a nice testing officer. I would definitely recommend VTNZ New Lynn to my family & friends. This is my second review I'm giving for my Full Licence. What A Relief, After Passing My Learners, Restricted License & Now I Got My Full Licence. I was Lucky to get same testing officer EU G in restricted & now in Full Licence 😃 & also I was Lucky to get this date 20.2.2020.

Sat my restricted test with Jay yesterday, really genuine and nice bloke. Didn't put any pressure on me like the nightmares I've heard about other officers. Precisely explained to me things I could work on and the things I've done well. Definitely sit your test here! Cheers Jay!

Reasonably quick wait. To get 5 stars, I'd suggest putting information up in regard to the process because quite frankly I was baffled, and wondered why there were abandoned cars in what appeared to be an almost empty queue. The reason being; one must go into the building to pay first. Anyhow, staff were friendly and generally efficient.

Arrived about 10 minutes before closing time and lady was nice enough to process my application, bloody marvelous.

I sat two restricted driving tests here (passed on the 2nd!) and both tests all staff involved were extremely kind, professional and helpful. On my first test the instructor (Jay I think) gave me lots of helpful info and encouragement on improving for my second , when I sat my 2nd I felt way more confident. My 2nd instructor (Fraser) was equally as helpful and was calming and professional during the test, and took some time after to give me some tips on polishing up my driving skills.

We get our warrants at this VTNZ. Great people, very friendly, happy staff, Fraser was my driving instructor he's outstanding very professional.

My experience today I'm very happy for my driving test I pass I'm soso glad plus the staff took me for my test he's really nice man talking nice and show the way were the car go no rush to me I'm very comfortable for my driving today God bless with him for my licence I'm over the moon my happy!

It is okay, they do not have enough space to park cars. If someone is coming to take test here, they need to be extra conscious about parking. Some of their staff are good. some of them are absolutely terrible. They always fail if you are the first timer so be careful and record the conversation and set a dash cam. They might fail you for something which you have not done. They have a fiji- Indian test instructor who is very rude.

Good experience, Good Instructor to check your car. Perfect guidance and Check 100%. The wait time in the office was appalling though. Be prepared to wait.

Great place for WOF or car registration. Car WOF is $69 (December 2020). Genuine place to get WOF as there was/is quite a few dodgy places around.

Pleasant staff and servicemen available for all your travel checking needs from licensing , Wof , registration and servicing . All at cost of course . I have found the staff very helpful for my own safety and licensing needs . They usually have plenty of available times .

61 dollars is a bit much for a motorcycle wof but not much choice on a Saturday afternoon. Had to wait a long time despite they did not look very busy but got my wof and bloke doing the inspection was very good and patient despite tail light earth coming loose on the way.

My experience was very good (Practical Test). The staff behind the desk were friendly and the Test Officer was humble, friendly and fair. IMO, it is an excellent place to do the Practical tests :)

Took me 3 years to get my full license since June 2018

My Son sat his restricted test today and passed successfully with no Critical Error's with the test officer Jay and very relaxing calm man to go with for your test would recommend doing your restricted or full licence test and thanks to the AA for giving my son driving lessons to improve his skill's

Just had my restricted test here few days ago with the islander guy name Channon. He’s a really cool and fun guy as he didn’t put alot of pressure on me during the test. If you ever get the chance to have a driving test with this guy, surely you’re gonna feel calm and HAKUNA MATATA! 💯👌 5 stars for his service 😊

Usually go here for my warrant...... But my last warrant was $61.00 I thought this was very expensive so have stopped going there. I guess they have to get their money back somehow for all those expensive ads of theirs on television .

Quite costly but they won't lie to you about something as a fail on your car like some mechanical repair shops do when testing your car to get more money out of you.

Easy to get your reg and warrent with out waiting for people getting photos and checking eyes etc.

Hassle-free WOF, friendly staff, and very fair pricing for on-the-spot minor fixes. Yes there is usually a wait time because it’s FIFS, so bring a book and chill for a minute while these people do their jobs. And don’t show up late for a driving test then complain that they can’t accommodate you. Front facing staff, I feel your pain dealing with idiots on a daily basis, especially when we are all stressed to some degree from the past couple of years. Thank you for being awesome, and see you next year for another WOF :)
