I just want to say Thank you to Paul who was my driver test officer today. He was friendly, calm, and explained everything clearly. He also gave me feedback at the end for improvement which will help in the future. I took my test at 930am and it was smooth driving for anyone who is wondering what time is a good time for a test.

I was having a test and a message came just before the test that it was cancelled😡. And this is the 5th time same thing happening🤬. I was totally frustrated because 5 days I had to call my manager and almost fake my death for sick leave. Me and my Friend still went to this branch Mt. Wellington. Asked for justice. Reception lady called Manager. Mr. Khan - an absolute angel without wings. We were so prepared to burst... He simply handled it like a pro ... 20 years of his experience was right there in front of us. He listened patiently and said he can request a Saturday test if possible. I was 90percent already convinced. On our way back home he called me and said - lady if you are ready for test now we can do it. Trust me. I was super happy for the effort he took... And not to mention the lady who took my test. I wish I remembered her name 🥺. She is so patient and calm lady. Gave crystal clear instructions. She made me feel comfortable. Clearly told me my mistakes. And I cleared my Full driving test ladies and gentlemen 😍 I am absolutely overwhelmed with the effort that they took. God bless them🥺

I took the restricted level test here. The examiner was very professional and polite. I passed the test smoothly and told me what I needed to improve. The reason why I gave four stars is that there are too few parking spaces here and there is almost no place to park. Secondly, after the test, the staff asked me to do some written work outside.

I was there this morning and mine was the only car. Impressed with what they had done under covid. Always know they will be professional. Got asked if I had gold card so I could get a discount that I was unaware of.

Went to renew my driver licence. No disabled parking that i could see..long distance for elderly to walk if car park near building full.they have closed main entrance so have to walk right around. Staff were nice and helpful too

VTNZ is a case of efficiency. I called my AA, the appointments line up in a two weeks, but you get things done quickly. I came after 9am as recommended online, but personally, 10am is good.

Took my full licence test yesterday. Manu was nice and gave clear instructions, easing me into the right mindset so that I soon felt rather relaxed and could drive more smoothly and passed the test. Thank you, Manu!

Great service from the lady in men's wear at Sylvia. Jason from Papakura told me that they had one pair of size 32 at Sylvia Park as I got the last size 32 from Papakura Farmers. So both people from men's wear were fantastic in 1 day. Both staff members from 2 stores were 100% in help and SERVICE. Cheers Keitha 😀

It is one of busiest place which offer a service for driving licence applications like license conversion, theory and driving test these services are open from Monday to Saturday but vehicle testing, WOF is open 7 days a week. Very helpful staff. But since is busy usually expect a waiting time.

Good testing officer but not an ideal road test center. The best testing time is 10:15. Just remind you before take the test make sure you have mastered all the routes and practice more. Good luck!

Went to renew my full license here had all the paperwork sorted and when I got to the counter it only took 5min but had to wait over 40min to get it done. Wasn't clear what the hold up was as only 1 customer service representative seemed to be doing licenses and very few people waiting. Service was fine when served but it just took too long.

I gave my theory and practical driving here. I am extremely satisfied with the services. I read the unfavorable reviews of this place and that’s why I was a bit discouraged to go at first but this was the nearest to my place so I went anyway. During theory test, there was a bit of wait time but then it was understandable as there were lots of clients as well. The staff were quite professional and courteous enough. I was therefore encouraged to also take my practical test here. There were no waiting this time. Mr Venkat, who took my test today was very professional and courteous too, and I passed my driving test. He gave me a very honest feedback on both the positives and negatives of my driving abilities. I am very thankful to the staff of VTNZ Sylvia Park to make my experience an excellent one. I understand that some people have not had the best experience here in the past but I did not face any such problem, so maybe they’ve upped their game. In any case I also believe that to expect the staff to be courteous and professional, one must himself/herself also behave in the same manner. I highly recommend this place to get your license.

I visited the VTNZ Sylvia Park on 25/3/2021 for my drivers licence renewal I found the CSR "Reshika" who approached me in professional and politely manner welcome me assist me the form which i have to filled .I found "Reshika"who looked after me thoroughly professional and effecient too. Came here for a drivers license exam and passed. Staff were all friendly and professional. My testing instructor, Deepak, was polite, understanding and patient. He explained the procedures of the test clearly and was happy to clarify if I had any questions. His instructions were also clear and concise. Overall, very satisfied with the services here and would recommend themto anyone.

I booked in my full licence here, Then read the reviews and my shocked by the minority of them being negative. I would have to agree with most of these comments. This place does seem for unorganized and very loud, Especially with the warrant people working right there, If you're sitting you learners I would strongly recommend not sit it else where as there are a lot of distractions here. The lining process is a bit strange. I got called up to talk to the front desk, As I was standing there the man behind the desk called the person behind me and started to help him and I had to wait. The staff seem a little un-happy /rude. I had to keep asking them to repeat what he was saying because his English wasn't clear. Then the lady spoke to quite and with all the noise I couldn't hear. The test its self was great. My inspector explained everything very well and spoke loud and clear. I passed my test.

Came here for a WOF inspection. They are very strict and I believe for good reason. I had many problems with my vehicle but Ruven was very patient and helpful. He helped me contact NZTA to clarify confusions about a fixed recall and contacted me as soon as it was fixed and my WOF could be issued. Great service, thank you Ruven!

I went for my full driving license exam. The process was pretty smooth. The testing officer gave intructions very clearly. I passed the exam and the officer gave me feedback on minor mistakes where i could improve.

I recently had the most outstanding customer service from John Perez at VTNZ Sylvia Park. My inquiry which was in relation to a motor vehicle dealer and compliance testing, was dealt with promptly, professionally, and respectfully. John went out of his way to explain all issues raised and then went beyond expectation by offering and facilitating a solution. I came away feeling like John had taken a genuine interest in my problem and helping me to fix it, especially as it was not caused in any way by VTNZ. This level of customer experience is rare these days. I am really very grateful for the service provided.

Staff here were quite helpful and friendly. They did a quick job of inspecting my car for its WOF. I've been here a few times and when my car does need some work, they're very clear and helpful as to how I can get it sorted. Plus, the added basic service (which is pretty cheap) when I get my WOF is quite helpful.

Sat my Restricted licence test here this morning at 9am with Shiu N as my tester. Got there at 8:30 as advised prior to doing the test. Was so nervous and anxious especially after reading a lot of the many negative reviews here. I met the guy while i was filling out my form and he was such an easy going guy and not what i expected. We started early even before my 9am test time. It was quite busy at this time and the route we took was quite tricky. The parallel parking was too easy especially with no car parked behind to fit into. We pretty much went all over Mt Wellington/Sylvia Park area. Jumped onto the highway going towards Pakuranga ways, 80k zone, then got off at the Waipuna Road exit. Once we started heading back towards the base, you go to the big roundabout and he asked me to take the third exit so i was trying to count the exits before i came up to it but once i was turning he told me which one to take. Also going over the highway that runs over Sylvia Park , another 80k zone, there were road works there so had to slow down. Once we got back, he told me i did good and it should be a pass. Once his app thing on the ipad calculated it i got the pass. PHEW what a relief. Had a couple errors and gave me some feedback. But it was very good and big props to Shiu N, good guy and nothing like many reviewers say. if anyone want some info about the route or any questions let me know :)

After reading below negative reviews regarding driving tests and unreasonable testing officers at VTNZ Sylvia Park, frankly, I was a bit concerned and expecting the worst. However, on the contrary, my testing officer Sanjay R was very calm, patient, clear with the instructions and overall very fair. I arrived early and the test started around 20 minutes earlier as well as Sanjay was available, which was very convenient. Thanks God, I passed my restricted driving license test and wish you all applying for the license the same pleasant experience. All the best to Sanjay.

Just passed my restricted license test with Deepak S. who was friendly, professional and instructions were clear. The driving part of the test was 18 km, 45 mins. I've added an image of the driving test route, this is the standard route ("SYLPK R1 2.4") which is used unless there is roadworks or bad traffic. Long wait and isuficeint manover room for semi truck truck and trailer and btrain sometime have wait for all cars to piss off so can exit after I'm done waiting 30min sometimes just to get out of there but got to be quick can't drop your guard as when get room to exit do it straightaway otherwise it won't be a few seconds and you will be blocked by another noon driver bo

VTNZ is always slow. They do their best, but for warrents your better off finding a reliable mechanic. Obviously, for COF's you have to use this place. I would say Mt Wellington is on par as far VTNZ's go.
