Reviews of Waiau River Lookout
R. L.Great view of the clearance river and Hanmer ranges. You can see where bungee jumping happens at Hanmer Bridge. This place is not really maintained. It is a gravel car park. It is worth stopping over to have lunch or take a picture. It would be great if there was some shelter with seats. We found the breeze to be cold so we had our lunch inside the car.
A. R.Good for a quick stop for the view once. Access is bumpy and carpark isn't massive. No facilities. Be careful with kids near the edge, very big drop off.
