Friendly staff and got my new rego sorted quickly once I got inside. My only gripe is that because of COVID measures we were asked to sit/queue outside in the sun. I’m a pasty white dude that burns in 10 seconds flat and wasn’t planning on needing sunblock to go to VTNZ lol. All good though.

Just had a WOF inspection today at the Jipcho VTNZ. The car failed for some quite pedantic things. I'm a mechanic by trade so know what is fair and not. Driving away I was quite salty about it but started working through the list as soon as I got home so I can tick this job off. Reflecting on it as I go through the list and fixing things actually, they weren't wrong. Every item was most definitely there for many previous WOF inspections and I was always stoked when the car passed and never got around to fixing them. The whole team treated me kindly, with all the new COVID stuff I felt safe and they managed foot traffic well through their business. The young bloke giving me the bad news obviously did a thorough check of the car and debriefed me well on what needed attention immediately and in the future. So thank you for a thorough check over. I'd give them 5 stars but the wait was nearly 2.5 hours which felt ridiculous as I was only about 7 cars back. I've been there before when the queue was on the road and it didn't take that long.

Awesome experience here for restricted license, testing officer was Steve he's very nice and calm. Michelle was on the door and she was super welcoming and friendly. Great experience overall.

3 star is cause you had to wait in the beaming sun I waited for about 30-40mins just a little bit long, but that's my opinion.

Service delivery very prompt. Don't have to book in for WOF Checks. With a little bit of patience you will be in front of the queue in no time. It is best to go after 3pm when its a bit free up on the drive in

Fairly quick service and even cleaned my lights and alerted me to some possible future issues. That was above and beyond

Took my bike here for a WoF yesterday but unfortunately their motorcycle technicians were not available. Staff went out of their way to find a solution and I was able to pick my bike up the following day. Excellent service.

Testing. Cars for wof and drivers licence. Good signage and waiting areas. Chatty staff. Waiting room cold, radio and can buy drinks and snacks can be purchased.

First class operation. Very busy so leave yourself plenty of time

I had my restricted test here and Paul was so nice! My brake light had blown in the last couple days and he got it fixed so I didn't need to wait for 3 more months for another slot! Passed first time, and I'm so happy to be driving by myself

First visit here. Quick and friendly service. I went for a WoF and the left head light was not working and the mechanic (Josie I think found a loose wire. He pushed the plug in and it was fixed. Well done. It was much appreciated. Great service. Thank you.

The staff were helpful when I arrived and they gave me very clear instructions for the next step. Everything just went so smoothly. I've got say the testing officer Paul was extremely clear about my next turn and next lane change. A very good point that I noticed is, every time Paul gave instructions to let me turn left or right, he will use body language (his arms) to make it more understandable for me. This detail is so friendly for the people whose mother tongue is not English. I could understand all the instructions even if my listening of English was not so good. Besides, the message sent to me on Tuesday was so helpful. If it was not because of the message, I could possibly have forgotten the test lol. Thank you all for the extraordinary service provided. Btw, I've practiced for three months to get a pass, and finally all the effort is paying off.

Many thanks to Sally who took my son on his restricted practical last week. Sally was professional and thorough throughout the entire test. She immediately put my son at ease with her warm and caring disposition. Sally created a test environment that facilitated the learner being the best version of themselves which is exactly what Is needed for our learner drivers to succeed. Thank you so much.

Tester for my full was super patient and friendly, couldn't of asked for a better experience. Highly recommend!

I was here to convert my international license to New Zealand license. I went to AA centre at the first, but they couldn’t accept my application. Then the lady in this office helped me to sort it out, and I passed theory test at the same day. After receiving my restricted license, I came back to do my practical test. My instructor was friendly and professional. Thank you VTNZ 3/09/20 Passed theory test 16/10/20 Received restricted license 22/10/20 Passed practical test 01/11/20 Received full license

They did try and rebook me for 2 months later after cancelling it for the day, but I made a complaint and it was lowered to an acceptable timeframe. The tester was very good and she kept calm the entire time.

Paul is a great testing officer, very professional and explained what I could improve on to be safer on the road. Left there feeling confident and happy with the results. The receptionists were pleasant too.

The staff were friendly for the most part... note that if you are getting your photo taken for a drivers license and want to review it, don't come here - they told me that I would 'have 10 years to look at it' so it wasn't worth me seeing it now.

Went here for overseas drivers licence conversion practical test The test started on time and without any problems The officer's name was Rebecca. She was a very polite and reasonable lady and assess the tests fairly. Overall, it was a good experience as the staff are so good adlnd welcoming and everything is on time

fast, friendly, straight to the point. going early for wof to avoid huge wait times is best. student friendly, so big thumbs up!

It's a bit of a wait - 45 minutes or so at about 11:39 on Thursday - but I did my motorbike WOF there for 4th year in a row. I've had 2 fails but those were real problems (fork oil leak and rear tyre was bald), they are good to deal with for motorbike WOF.

What a great service they offer. Strongly recommend them

Went for WOF check - looks professional, despite the fact that there is no option to leave the car and come back later when everything is done - waited for at least 45 min to finish all the procedure. Been offered some extra service - oil check, other liquids check etc. Would recommend - if you have time - these guys know what they are doing.

Good place.nice staff.😊 I also went there to get my NZ driving licence.🚗🚘🗾 They got my details and check the requirements. I did the theory test at the same time.🚦 Everything was completed within an hour and half time.🧭 I'm really satisfied 😊 with their service.👍

Place is usually very busy so expect to wait around. The technicians aren't in the business of repairs so they wont fail you on things to try and upsell labor and parts

wish i had came to you guys sooner! for the past 5 years i kept on getting ripped off by dodgy mechanics. thank god my friend told me to come to you guys. i know for sure from now on i know where to go to. a place where i can go to knowing that i wouldn’t be taken advantage of by dodgy mechanics just coz i’m a female! love the work you guys do! great friendly speedy service! 5 stars!

I went in today for a Warrant of Fitness with my 6month old baby in tow. I found the staff absolutely fantastic! Very friendly, helpful and efficient. They got the warrant underway while I was in the office sorting paperwork etc. they even offered a complimentary coffee (which i wish i could've accepted). Once my car had finished i came back out and they had the boot open for my buggy to go straight in and had opened the rear passengers door so I could easily put my baby back in. They held doors open so I could easily get in and out with a buggy. Were generally just fantastic! Thank VTNZ Sockburn it was as pleasant as getting a WOF could possibly be.

The staff here at the Jipcho road VTNZ were polite and kind. They were so helpful and patient. The service here was just great!!

I was told by VTNZ on phone that if I arrived by 4pm, I'd have time for a WOF before 5pm close. I was told at 4.05pm on site that they may not have time but welcome to wait & pay at the end. I was the last car in at 4.55pm & they finished my car at 5.15pm. Awesome job VTNZ!

Front desk could be a little friendlier but they know their stuff and the team doing the WOFs are friendly enough.

Had my overseas license conversion here. The nearest certfied place to do that in south western part of Christchurch. An average of 6-8 minutes or even longer per person enough to satisfy any licensing enquiries and processes. Signs are not properly put in a place where incomings could see which door do they get in and where the line starts. But overall, the licensing, rego, wof and theory test staff are friendly, accomodating and takes your time to help. They were even sometimes considerate when it comes to vision testing. Havent tried practical test yet so i have no ideas and comments about them.

I have not been here but just wanted to point out because there are so many 1 stars and responses with a process of complaints which looks like it could be lengthy and obviously not working, because if it was working then you would start to see a decline in complaints which does not seem to be the case , it makes me not want to come here

Pleasant experiences here with fast service but I dont handle being told I'm wrong by a customer services agent.... I was asked how I wanted to pay for my transaction, I said eftpos... the terminal didn't present a credit option on screen so I queried this and was told I had said I was paying eftpos... yes, credit is a form of eftpos! Electronic Financial Transaction....

Thanks to the man in the front office for agreeing to help me even tho i didnt need it in the end , i still appreciate the effort. Cheers mate

Got my new driver's licence very short wait the licensing agent was very nice but worried about my eyesight but minister pass it no problems at all nice and clean and tidy but awfully busy and still the agents were very friendly and helpful.

Genuine instructor for practical test and friendly . No mucking around as they can find out and will review honestly if you have a safe kiwi driving skills. You can rely on them

Staff are helpful and they have large capacity to get through inspections when it's busy. However, still expect to wait a while on Saturday. They do a quality inspection, don't try to sneak one in here.

Very good service. Park your car, go into the office, and get your papers etc. Join the car line otherwise you will be directed out of the line to get the papers first. Everything from Warrents etc, to licence testing.

Very. Helpful and friendly staff We were last in the line on a Saturday morning . Kept us informed on wether we would get the wof done in time. Will return to get my Wof here again.

I took the chance to wait in line at 4pm despite that they may not have time to finish the whole queue by 5pm close. My car was driven in at 4.58pm. By the time they finished, it was 5.15pm. 10/10 for customer service & going extra mile!
