Been a few times for different things. Nice guys who seem genuine to help. E.g. they saved me money by installing a used salvage part. Respected me and didn't act pretentious like some places. Like most such places in Dunedin it's a bit of an old boy's club but they don't act like it with new customers.

Took my land cruiser in for a new battery and a diesel leak, was given the heads up that it might be a couple of things and a rough price for each. Went to pick up the car and was told that t was actually cheaper than quoted and was then given a discount for the battery without even requesting it (plus I was given the discount on payment so it was not a ploy for a sale). Best service I have had from a mechanic, definitely the place to go in town!
