S.I was so impressed with the service I received from these guys! Had never been before but saw good reviews so thought it was worth a go. Got my warrant and service plus oil change and then one of the staff came and explained to me everything that had been done. The ladies on reception are super lovely and were really tolerant of my 1 year old running around in the waiting area too. Have recommended to all my family!

Have had no surprises with actual cost vs. what has been estimated/quoted. Mike and other staff have always been pleasant to deal with, and he has always done his best to keep me informed of current & likely future issues with my car, and to keep costs as low as possible. Very happy with the quality of work done also.

C.Travelled from out of town for work here this week and ran into some car trouble during storm, so these guys were recommended by staff at work. Overall bit bit expensive my whole experience was awesome the guy at the reception was so friendly and nice that when I got the bill it wasn’t as much of a shock and left happy in the end😃

S.Mike and his team were amazing. I needed a wheel bearing replaced for a WOF and they fixed it for half the price of what I was quoted at my original mechanic. When I failed my WOF again at the original mechanic due to the wheel bearing, Mike was very professional and double checked that everything was fine with the repair. Sure enough, I took it to another mechanic for a WOF recheck and it was fine. Will definitely be coming back in the future.

a.Wish I could give more than 5 stars. Every time I’ve bought a car in I’ve felt heard, understood and have received exception repairs / service every time. As a young woman with little knowledge on cars I’ve not once felt uneasy, scammed or looked down on like I have at other auto repair shops. I’m never taking my car anywhere else. K.I went for my WOF lady's at the reception were very welcoming and helpful. There was an issue with my car that the wof couldn't be completed. I was very happy to wait for them to fix the problem what was really great that the owner actually came out to me and discussed what was happening and he made sure I understood what needed to be done and that there won't if an issue with the same problem when I came back for wof. It took me a while to wait and while I waited the ladies made sure I was comfortable plus side there was free coffee ☕☺ they also have toilet 🚻if needed to go. They came in and kept me updated on the progress. Very professional 👏👌 polite and friendly service.

I find the team at Affordable Autos to be customer service gurus. I tried to book my (warrant) service a week prior to my planned date and it was full on that specific time slot. But I was able to book in because they know a new tech will start on that same date. Awesome service. Keep up the good work.
L.Mike and his staff are very welcoming especially to a new customer like me. It seems to be so hard to find a trusted mechanic after relying to my mechanic dad for so many years. When I moved to Hamilton, I'm thankful to have found these guys. There were no pressures to their end but I did really like how knowledgeable they are and their approach to diagnose what's the problem to my car. I am very pleased! The pricing is very fair too. Glad to have found Mike and his team off Google and finally have a mechanic to go on to for my Volvo.

M.One of the best places I have found to get a WOF in Hamilton. Very very affordable, lovely staff at reception. I was in a rush that day, so they got the job done for me in record time so I could get out of the door. No fuss with the service, they weren’t trying to just make money off me. The only problem is parking. I had no idea where to park on this very busy road (State Highway 1). Possibly some communication on that when placing the booking could be very helpful for future reference.
M.After moving to Hamilton, we struggled to find a good mechanic for about a year. We eventually found Affordable Auto through google and got our WOF done with them. Mike and his team provided us with such good service and recommendations that they are now our go to choice for anything car related. Wouldn't fault them on anything - genuine, trustworthy, good people and great service. Nothing is ever a problem. Highly recommend!

A.Warrant check and headlight failed. I really like that you don’t pressure customers to use your workshop. However I asked about this service and within two hours the truck was fixed and had a new warrant on it. Excellent service from both mechanics and ladies in the office.

Went to get my wof done and I had a few problems with my car but they were able to fix them, cheapest wof place at $45, fast, Clean and hygienic. I was on Holiday in New Plymouth on a Friday when my alternator went kaput. Nearing the end of my Holiday I was starting a new job on the following Monday that I required my car for travel.
Stressing that I potentially wouldn't make it to my first day at new job I called Toyota and they advised I shouldn't drive my car as it could immobilize when the battery runs out.
Nobody in New Plymouth was able to get a new alternator so I called Affordable Auto Services in Hamilton and Mike quickly sprung into action and was able to source a new alternator for me almost immediately!
Upon arriving at 2pm on a Friday in Hamilton I attempted to start my car and it was completely dead ! Mikes team was able to diagnose and replace my alternator quickly with no troubles.
My level of appreciation cannot be expressed with words.

They've reccomended awesome affordable panelbeaters to us and made sure our car is safe and running. Cant reccomend them enough. W.Service is great but only if staff have not had a long day but otherwise great service in a timely manner 1/2hr to 3/4 of an hour to check my vehicle for WOF plus mechanic gave full commentary on faults why vehicle failed WOF, excellent explanation regarding number of days you have to do a recheck ect.. but inspecting mechanic noted my right rear indicator not in working order but when I had a look at it the indicator was and still is in perfect working order, I drew this to the inspection mechanics attention and he stated"what did you do did you give it a bang"I said to him no mate it was working did you even look at it, so I decided to do a check on other faults found, one of them was the mechanic could not check rear seatbelts because of all the clutter in the rear seat area I have a 7seater Ford Explorer said to him I could taken 2 mins to move to the front seat
r.Got the 6 month free safety check text so booked in and had done...so grateful took advantage of service as found a couple of things that have since happened since last WOF but wouldn't pass now so going to get those fixed asap...thanks for the heads up

M.Thank you so much Affordable Auto Services! Our brakes broke driving from Auckland to Wellington. I called the second they opened at 7:30am and they were so kind and accommodating and told us to come in immediately to have a look. They gave the car a thorough look at, told us what’s wrong with it and had it all ready and repaired so quickly. We were on the road again by 9:30am and the car was driving so much better/smoother with the brakes working really well. They even gave us an awesome cafe recommendation for while we waited - a pleasant morning all round. We cannot thank them enough and super grateful for their friendly service, especially Mike! He was super helpful. We know where to come next time we need car repairs in Hamilton, thanks again.
