Chris here at Clarksun Automotive is Great! I Failed my WOF on brake pads and bulbs, rung him and he could fit me in same day and beat the pricing of a competitor. Chris worked past closing time that Saturday he really knows his stuff and is easy to speak with.

After having left my bike garaged and basically unloved for 5 years, i decided i wanted to renew the relationship that had blossomed years before. She needed some TLC and some professional know how to bring her back to her best. After considering some highly recommended motorcycle mechanics i decided to approach Chris from Clarksun Automotive. Chris has done vehicle work for me in recent times, i ve always found him to be honest, professional and meticulous. He was enthused about working on the bike so with his help i transported her to his garage. Without going into the finer details, i ve just returned from a glorious ride, shes running like a dream, and shes looking hot, the bike is immaculate, someone has spent time detailing her, its gonna be a hard act to follow, I couldn t be happier, Thanks to Chris and the team at Clarksun Automotive. I Want to thank Chris and Rowan for their tireless work on my van, saving both my van and my New Zealand trip. I was on route to Wellington, leaving the country in a few days and about to sell my van the next day when my gearbox started leaking oil and making suspicious noises. Even though I stopped by in the morning without an appointment, Chris had a look and immediately outlined possible causations clearly, and what could be possible courses of action. Since it was a van from 1986, a replacement gearbox or parts were extremely difficult to find. The team at Clarksun did the impossible and by going through the effort of calling everybody they could possibly think of they found all the parts & clearly communicated along the way what would be the best options to pursue, Chris and Rowan stayed up WAY beyond their working hours and put in so much effort to get me on the road again to Wellington & make my flight on time, for which I am very grateful. Thanks to them I made it to Wellington just in time to make arrangements for catching my flight in Auckland the next day! Therefore I would like to thank them both for their work & also moreover their hospitality during my time there and give Clarksun automotive my fullest recommendation. They are a lovely people, make a great team that cares about their customers and very transparent about their work & pricing. Thanks again and greetings from the Netherlands!

Was away on holiday visiting family in Hamilton, my vehicle decided it didn't want to start, Google searched the closest mechanics, read the reviews and rang Clarksun Automotive, within a few minutes I was able to be seen to. Fast and efficient service upon my phone call. Speedy and reliable call out service, easy to understand, trust worthy, diagnosed the problem straight away and very professional. Can't recommend Clarksun Automotive enough! I have endless car problems and have been to many mechanics but Clarksun Automotive are without a doubt the best. A couple times I have turned up without booking and every time they have done the work right then and there on the car. They tell you exactly what's wrong with the car and if it's worth fixing. Everyone is so friendly and helpful and special mention to Chris who is an amazing mechanic!

Beautiful husband and wife team that went above and beyond for us. The job I went in for was diagnosed elsewhere and these guys did their own diagnostic test to reassure that the job intentended was the job indeed and they did this free of charge. They informed me of all possible outcomes so there were no nasty surprises. Because my partner is always working late I'm often left to deal to our car's needs and have often been taken advantage of and I feel like I have FINALLY found a mechanics that I can trust....our forever mechanic. Our car is now purring and looks great because they gave the outside a much needed clean (free of charge) and she looks in the same state that I purchased her. Forever grateful.

So many great things to say about the service at Clarksun. If you are looking for fast, competent and honest service then go here. - The workshop is clean and orderly - The work needed is explained in an understandable manner - Dropping in without a booking was no problem - Dropped one car in with a WOF issue and they not only looked at and fixed it on the same day, but also took it back for its WOF recheck. - Most importantly after having two cars in for mechanical issues we drove away feeling assured and confident that our cars were running smoothly.

Was told by a different mechanic they couldn't find what was causing the problem with my car and that I need to take to a transmission specialist. I contacted clarksun automotive and chris was very welcoming, turns out it wasn't the transmission but a mechanical problem which he found that the other mechanic couldn't so very impressed with his skill level. Car runs great now and will be using clarksun automotive now for any future work and servicing needing to be done, thanks for the awesome service guys

Excellent service! Had to leave my ute there over the weekend just after New Years because it wasn't driveable and to wait for Chris to arrive back on Monday to get his opinion on a repair. But then he phoned me on Sunday evening and was there at his workshop having a look at my vehicle! So I found out what the repair was going to involve right then! On Friday I tried to get a warrant for my car at a different mechanic and it failed because the power steering rack appeared to be leaking fluid. I drove to Clarksun and they looked at my car right away. I was so shattered at this point because I had just finished a 4th night shift and I just wanted to go home. I fell asleep in their lounge on the couch. When I woke up they had replaced the power steering hose rubber seals, driven my car back to that first mechanic and got my WOF passed. This is in addition to the time last year when my car battery went flat and I could not get it to start, and Chris the mechanic drove out (on a Saturday) to jump my car. These guys are legends, they always go the extra mile for their customers.

clarksun automotive is the place to go if you want friendly service and a mechanic that really knows his stuff,i went to a heap of mevhanics around hamilton talking to office staff and a few mechanics and they all sent me away and didnt have time for me it was on my way home i seen clarksun auto and tryed my luck there i was treated very nicely and my truck was fixt that same afternoon i went in there,it out of all the mechanics i went to clarksun also had the cheapest labour rate :) from now on i wont go to anyother place. 5 star clarksun job well done

Took My subaru in for a full service and cambelt change, I know how expensive subarus are in this area, but the price these guys gave me including the service was amazing, They even picked it up from my place of work in the morning, when I went to pick it up it was washed and polished too !, Quite amazing, you just don't see this type of customer service any more, Thanks Guys.
