R.So, I wanted my car all pretty again. There are a ridiculous amount of cars driving around Hamilton with dented or scuffed or otherwise shabby bumpers - I actually wondered if panel beaters were a dying breed around here - and I wanted to be a little different. Yes, there are that many. So I went to get a quote. Now usually one would get three or four quotes, but there was just something about this guy that made me think, nah, this is the chap. I liked his attitude, I liked the way he looked at the car, that even though I have a pink Toyota vitz, he appraised her with the same look of determination and even affection as if I would have brought in a Lamborghini. The quote seemed fair, his attitude was awesome, and on Monday I took her in. Today I got her back. A day earlier than anticipated. For the quoted price. And he had water blasted everything. Even the moss under the boot hatch. Gone. Oh, and although it went in to get the rear bumper done, he also polished up the front bumper where it had, er, kissed, the wall of the driveway; spot treated a couple of other nicks in the paintwork, degreased the brakes, and polished the headlights. And I got some paint to take home (apparently you keep this in the fridge, as you should keep your nail polish - who knew?). If you need work done on your car, go here.
