s.Called in the morning, explained new to area. They said bring it in today or tomorrow, whenever suits me best. Took it down same day, got a text early afternoon giving and update and asking if I wanted to proceed. I said yes then a text an hour later saying ready for pick up. They found that it was less work than they first thought and their bill reflected that. Thank you so much will for sure be bringing our other vehicles when needed. Well done guys

Front desk is absolutely amazing.
To date I've never had an issue with my car WOF, servicing or maintenance. They give me options for issues and don't just go with the priciest one.
They have courtesy vehicles and are next to McDonald's so I can do the stallies when I'm getting a quick job done 😂
On occasion they also have deals on Grabone which makes things even more convenient
B.Absolutely outstanding service here! We had an emergency stop on our way home from holiday and Lightening Auto fit us in straight away and went above and beyond to get our car sorted for our 3 hour drive home safely. I can not recommend these guys enough!!!! I wish there were more stars to give. Thanks team!

W.Took car in for service after not being happy with previous mechanics work. Can't fault Lightning. Friendly professional receptionist. Nice tidy office and reception area (but would be nice if you updated the wait area chairs ;) ) Got there early, and the mechanic started the job early and it was done promptly.

These guys are incredible! Absolutely amazing to deal with right from the beginning to the end.
I have always had trouble finding a reliable and honest mechanic, being a woman they've always tried to muck me around. These guys kept me informed every step of the way before they even did anything letting me know of the costs etc, AND called me to let me know that they had billed me in error (forgot to add a tyre to the price) BUT that it wouldn't disadvantage me on the bill because it was their human-error - AMAZING! Totally reasonable pricing too which is a nice added bonus. Super easy to deal with and the office ladies and awesome to deal with on the phone too.
I have chosen them as my "forever-mechanic" and will be recommending them to all.
h.Awsome job. Not knowing much about vehicles and being newly separated to a partner who usually takes care of these things I felt safe knowing they would talk me through anything needing done and charge a very fare price. Will definitely only be using lightning automotive terapa for any car repairs and warrants.
The friendly receptionist was great at keeping in touch also. Cheers guys.

O.Reasonably priced great garage with super helpful receptionist Haylie who over 2 visits has explained to us in girl friendly language what has been wrong with the car. Also has McDonald's across the carpark so you can get coffee while waiting for a wof. The team are quick and professional thanks guys we will be back! We also saved money on our second visit by registering with goodie and got reward $$
R.I went to them with a problem that they unfortunately couldn't solve, but they provided me with a courtesy car, a list of other businesses that might be able to help, and even helped me fill up my wiper fluid (after they had already closed), not charging a cent for their friendly help. A BIG recommend.
J.Awesome. I booked a car service and transmission service. When I get there, they said the transmission oil is very clear. So they didn't do that service to help me save money. I will recommend them to all my friends.
J.I’ve been going to Lightning for the last 5 years or so and they have always been great to deal with - honest, reliable and organised.
The girls in the office know their stuff, and Anna has a mechanical background so don’t be fooled by them, they know just as much as the mechanics!
They’re always speedy with repairs, keep me informed, and have a courtesy car available when I need one.
My cars have failed warrants a couple of times and for good reason - they have the ability to fix it on site and generally within the same if not next day. I’d much rather it failed and was fixed so im safe rather than having a sticker slapped on it and putting myself and others at risk.
Short story long, they’re great and I’ll see you in a couple of weeks for my next WOF.

L.Russel and the team are tops. They have achieved that perfect blend of professional work shop with a local garage vibe. You dont feel like a number, but know you are getting as good of service as you would receive from the big branded guys. Added to this, their prices are fair and reasonable. Keep up the great work.

L.Great service for reasonable costs. Communication, including emailing of estimates - which is facilitated by their receptionist/organizer/everything person Hayley is top notch (she is exceptional and understanding). Accommodating in terms of appointment availability and convenient service. Offers Student card discounts, option to pay via oxipay and goody card loyalty points. There always seems to be a courtesy car available when needed. I will be a future customer here always as am 100% satisfied with their high level of customer service. Lightening Automotive have done ALOT of work on my Ginger Kia Rio to keep it on the road (power steering, clutch, cambelt etc)
A.Have used Lightining Automotive at Te Rapa for a few years now for several vehicles and I am very pleased with the work they have done and the friendly and knowledgeable office staff I have dealt with. They do what they say they will do, are very price competitive, the vehicles are ready when they say they will be. I only wish they were closer to my home, but despite having to come across town, I am happy to do so because of the service they provide.
R.Friendly staff, reliable and quick service. Appreciate that they tell you to check kids car seats after a WOF as many places dont warn you that the seatbelts has been undone. Would recommend Lightning Automotive Te Rapa

S.My husband Went for warrant recently. Detailed reasons for fail front engine mount rocker seal etc and honest as my machanic mate replaced part and it was defective insert so good spotting thanks.

A.I brung my old 86 ke70 corolla in to te rapa lightning automotive, they fixed the problem with my car that another Mechanic shop couldnt, my car now drives a dream !they have reasonable prices and also they get the job done quickly. All over a great experience dealing with these guys 😊
