Highly recommend Van Beers workshop. Have been going here for years now and they always provide an excellent service and do quality work in a timely manner. They always explain the work thoroughly to me and are friendly and approachable. There's a lot of shoddy mechanics out there in lower Hutt, so be careful choosing the right one. I can say with certainty that Van Beers can be trusted and are a quality workshop that do honest and quality work. It seems there is a recurring theme within the few negative feedback left here - vouchers. People always want something for nothing and if it isn't then they'll complain. Van beers offer excellent voucher deals that you won't see any other mechanics offer, it offers discounted LABOUR, as If any mechanic is going to pay for the parts on top of that ie. Oil and filter. Those who complain that free/discounted LABOUR isn't good enough are entitled and ignorant to what being a mechanic and running a quality workshop entails. How sad it is that this mechanics generosity has backfired because of a few disgruntled individuals who expect handouts and free parts from a voucher that clearly offers free labour only.🤦🏼‍♂️ Cheers.

Fantastic service at Van Beers garage! The voucher we got was awesome value and the staff were really helpful. If you need some honest servicing done at honest prices call these guys - they are awesome!

Best mechanic in the Hutt - old school knowledge and service. I see a lot of reviews complain about the voucher - it quite clearly says it's for labour only; no one can do free parts and stay in business! Saved me hundreds on getting my car done over a year. You generally need to call them around 4.30pm to see if your car is ready which in my experience it always is.

Do not believe any of the spiteful comments. Van Beers garage is awesome! Been going in the same place since the end of the 1900's World War 11 and have thousands of long term customers in Wellington - and I am one of them. Will always bend over backwards to help folks out with their servicing needs and are one of the most experienced garages around - they know what they're doing!

Got a promotional voucher from these guys and it was awesome! Saved myself over $1,000 in what I would normally pay to get all this work done on my car - plus got some other work done as well. Never been to them before but will be using them as my regular garage from now on.
