M.Helpful staff who are managing the "covid rules of engagement" in good spirits considering it must mean a little more running around. Wait time was almost an hour for wof and registration, thank goodness it's only once a year!

I did feel the - Please Wait In Your Car until you reach the door - sign, was possibly placed to close to the door as cars backed up wouldn't be able to see it or read it until they were beside it.
M.The wait time was long, but the customer service was exceptional. The ladies at reception were very polite, as well as the gentlemen doing the assessment. My car failed on a rear brake light, but they ended up replacing it for me on the spot and passing my WOF. Thanks team!

M.Queue looked extremely long but still only took just over an hour, I did go after a public holiday so I was expected it to be busy. Reception lady was great and my WOF passed even with 1.5mm left on a tyre! It was kind of them to do that to avoid me coming in again, I ended up getting them promptly replaced anyway.
J.The staff here were all very helpful and friendly. I'll happily take my car back here.
The overall average rating for this place appears to have been brought down by some muppet who rated it 1 star because he didn't have a car, so had never used them.
B.Again VTNZ shows its clear misunderstanding of the VIRM regarding fuel leaks. Under VIRM rules there must be a (quote) "noticeable fuel leak from the fuel system", so why is it that 20 minutes after rejection it passes with little more than a clean around the claimed leaking injector? VTNZ wouldn't know the difference between a fuel leak and built up of oil fumes or spills if it bit them on the bum. Meantime an hour of my time wasted.

VTNZ processing did not take long to get through: had a WOF check including fluids and service maintenance chk. Pleasant customer service, unfortunately brakes chk failed hence WOF did not make the grade. Overall a pleasant experience.

J.Long queues after lockdown, but each WOF took about 15 mins
R.As the only certification centre in easy reach of Wellington City I took my Audi Q7 in for recertification as it was off the road for 2 years whilst I was overseas - and unfortunately the rego expired - not a cheap process to go through but VTNZ Porirua staff are super friendly and efficient as are the mechanic testers - they do a great job and within the time frame they specify. Bit of a daunting queue at the front but if you round to the exit side there is easy parking and you can pop into the desk area via the waiting room door at the back - a good experience all round.
P.COF lane incredibly slow. Given there are little options for COF testing in Wellington the long wait time even more frustrating. Update: I decided to try VTNZ Seaview for my other trucks and what a contrast. Quick and efficient, staff didn't keep stopping talking to one another, or going on breaks leaving lanes under staffed. And plenty of lane parking. VTNZ Porirua.. never again.
S.I was glad I payed the fee because once the car was inspected, & I knew what was wrong with it, I got the car fixed & took it back to Porirua VTNZ 😊 WOF approved & hassle free. Great service all round thanks to Porirua VTNZ.

P.Good service as far as WOF goes, Leia is incredible every time you get him. Unfortunately VTNZ has continued to progressively put up their prices so now a standard wof costs $67 where you can get them done for $50 or less elsewhere. But because of the prices and afternoon booking is done in under 15mins which is a bonus!
S.Easy as, tip of the day. Call them first and ask what the queue is like. Sometimes it's quiet, other times huge queues!
Great service, I was carrying one baby and another in tow. They went out of thier way to help and make it a great experience.
A.I keep coming back to this place just because they are so efficient.
There often is a queue especially on weekends but they seem to get through the cars at a reasonable pace. The staff also go to the effort of making you aware of what you need to pay attention to or prioritise. Great service.

S.Brilliant staff. It was close to Friday night closing but I was able to fill in my form for replacement rego & the transaction was quick. I finished before their closing time. Had a bit of a laugh with those behind counter ...& felt really good. Can't rate them highly enough. I live in Wgtn city but love Porirua.

R.Never sat in the queue here for less than half an hour. Cost me big money time before last when they said to get a repair that the mechanic proved to them to be unnecessary. I still had to pay the mechanic. Other times can be lenient. Always friendly service
J.After getting my trailer all upto scratch as per wof at Vtnz Paraparaumu who also told me that I can get Re-Check of Wof at Vtnz Porirua, info was incorrect due to Paraparaumu being a private business.
Vtnz Porirua you Rock you saw that I was confused and thinking I would have to drive all the way back to Param you chose to complete my trailer check at your site.

The receptionist was lovely and the guy who checked my car was polite and knew his stuff. My first time there, will go back but only at a quiet time
G.Very quick, very efficient for what they do and how many cars they do a day. If you want to get your warrent of fitness done here, best to go in bang on 8am or a little earlier to get in the front of the lines that will pile up. Fingers cross they expand soon but until then you will need to wait your turn. In saying that, you dont even wait to long to get your car done. Well done guys... your awseome

R.Saturday is impossibly slow. Queries are often around 2 hours. Seems understaffed and in no rush to get through the vehicles. They do a decent job though. Think I'll book in at the local garage next time.

A.Very impressed with the service from Claire at the front desk and Phil the manager. We had a misunderstanding on our part with an online booking and the process was explained clearly and helpful suggestions were made as to how we could remedy the problem. We are from out of town so it was great to get it all sorted.
N.Super fast this time. Lucky timing avoiding a queue as you can find yourself with 6 or more cars ahead if you at times. Efficient and friendly. There every 6 months for a COF. Another good experience this time.

I.Very helpful staff. Went on a Saturday within the hour they were to close, and they still attended to all of us on the queue, even past 4pm. Dedicating waiting space to read magazines and grab a drink while you wait.
N.I use vtnz regularly for work and always come out the other side happy with the results. Very fair testing and are more than happy to assist you in pointing you in the right direction if work is needed. Wait times can sometimes be quite ridiculous however it is located close to a large variety of shops to explore. Recommended to visit before noon to beat the rush

C.Generally all good, however last time my aftermarket DRLs suddenly failed due to a law change. After researching the change, it related to aftermarket DLRs that are part of the main headlight not separate DLRs. The inexperienced young first guy failed them, but returning with nothing changed, the more senior guy passed them OK.
D.Normally fast service or though my last visit to get a warrant wasn't great waited in a long line of cars for 2 hours due to not enough staff on but when there is a full staff on they are normally pretty quick.
