I was recommended by a very good friend of mine to get my car serviced here today as my car had done a big trip from Auckland to Queenstown. Adrian was awesome and his team took great care of my wee car. I wish I asked how much the overall service was roughly 😂 I was a bit drowned with the $395 bill, but I guess that's how it is with the new air filter being ordered. I can't complain otherwise! Thanks for the great service!

We had a great experience with Alpine Auto, lovely bloke running it. They checked out our suspected issue and after concluding that it was currently unnecessary to get a new part they sent us on our way and kindly didn’t even charge for the time. Will definitely be returning if and when we need to!

After breaking down and having my car towed to Alpine Autos, they couldn't have been more helpful and quickly diagnosed the problem and sent me a quote the same day. Sam was the mechanic and he did a fantastic job! Service was quick and competitively priced.

Great experience! Everyone was very friendly, Tom the mechanic helped us with a loose battery immediately and we drove away in 5 minutes. Really nice guys. Would definitely recommend!

The guys took my car in 3 times fixing a wide range of issues on a lemon I purchased. I feel like they went above and beyond giving me fair prices and acting in a fair and honest way every time. They already have a reputation in town for being talented and honest. If you care about having your car fixed properly, I would highly suggest dealing with Alpine.

Awesome experience with these guys. Sadly my car couldn't be saved but they didn't charge for looking at it and even took the Bluetooth radio out for me before the wreckers came to pick it up. Very friendly and professional. Highly recommend

Absolutely recommend this garage!!! I am here on my working holiday visa, so it is not my first language and I'm not too experienced with cars and a few garages in the past definitively took advantage of it.. I'm sure I'm not the only one.. Anyway, my car needed WOF and I went to Alpine Auto Garage, explained my situation a bit and I had a good feeling straight away. The owner is absolutely professional and willing to find the best solution for everyone. He always explained every step so I felt always involved and never overcharged. The customer service is great!! I am a backpacker and had some major issues with my car and they always explained to me what they did, what the problem was etc. which I really appreciate! But most importantly, you really feel that these guys love their job. I can only highly recommend this garage!

What great service, I had alpine auto check my brakes when they started doing something weird on my trip round queenstown and furthur south, i didnt want to continue the trip unless i knew that they were safe! they got me in quick and did a thorough check of them and sent me on my way assured that all was well! thanks guys A++++++ service.

Had a great experience with this garage. My legacy's gearbox failed and Alpine Autos got it sorted through my insurance . Always take my car to this garage for servicing and as it was up to date, my insurance company agreed to finance the gearbox change. Alpine dealt with all the paperwork and got a new gearbox fitted within the week so I could have the car back for the weekend. They didn't replace the clutch because it wasn't needed, some garages would charge for this but they are an honest bunch of guys. So helpful and even lent a personal car to my for the week while I was left without mine. Great service. Thank you

They've done work on my VW & Mazda - to a decent standard. In my experience they won't try to screw you over for extras. I trust them, so do a lot of locals. I'd definitely recommend them.

We were travelling through South Island when our car over heated. The garage fitted us in on that day even though they were fully booked, tested for the head gasket and thankfully that was okay. Just a radiator hose needed replacing and they did that on the day and we could continue our travels. Really friendly and helpful mechanics. Would highly recommend.

Just had my van serviced, best garage I've been to by far! Great customer service, fast, fixed any problems and sorted two new tyres. Got the van back all in the same day. Highly recommend!

Couldn't be happier with the service I received. I am travelling around the country and as I drove into Queenstown my car started to make a horrible noise. I quickly looked online to find a garage close to me and luckily I found these guys, they had a quick look at my car and found a problem straight away. they sent me away for a few hours while they sourced parts and had the car back up and running by the end of the day. it was fantastic customer service and the price was great. two thumbs up

The guys at this garage totally saved us on our road trip around new zealand. Even though they were really busy they managed to fix our car as soon as possible and did a really good job for a great price. We are so grateful that they were so kind and helpful when all other garages were just rude to us! You guys are awesome!!!! Thank you from the fellow Brits and the idiots who didn't know if the car was a Toyota or Subaru but definitely knew it was red!

I highly recommend. I had a high standard service on my car this morning. The mechanics are friendly, competent. They explained everything very clearly to me what they did on my car. An amazing customer service. If we compare Alpine Auto Garage to a restaurant, I would give them 3 Michelin Star. Sorry, I'm a Chef lol.

i just popped down to see the team at Alpine Auto Garage and they helped me with everything I needed (plus went above and beyond!). I initially went to get my battery checked and while the guy was there he also helped to clear out my distributor cap & fill up the oil which all only cost me $10! Amazing service! When I need anything further done on my car I will be sure to head back there. Thanks again guys

After looking everywhere in Wanaka to find a mechanic who had time to fix the car, we try to call them to have an appointment. They told us it was our lucky day! They fixed our car the day before Easter. They are very professional and helpful. Thank you so much for helping us continuing our trip.

I had issues with my car battery and these guys fixed it right away even though they were busy. It turned out to be a minor fault and only took a few minutes to repair, but we were still very grateful they repaired it straight away. Can definitely reccomend :)

I have been taking my car here for 10 years. Adrian and the team are super helpful and honest. I even attended the ladies night where we learned the basic understanding of how a car works and knowing what is what under the bonnet. All round good guys!

I didnt pass my WOF and they change my brake and 2 wheels really quickly . For a price pretty correct . I really recommend them !

Great service, friendly, competent. The team took care of our car while we were out of reach, dealt with the problem extremely efficiently. A new motor had to be found and installed. This was done in time for us to get back home. And it ended up being significantly cheaper than expected.

Short story - Their personal service could use some improvement, but when they are made aware of a mistake, they fix it or refund the work. Long story - My Ford Transit lost power steering in Glenorchy. Alpine Autos was the only place willing to take an immediate look. The rack had been damaged and needed to be sent to Christchurch for refurbishment. The wait and work took about a week and cost about $1100. Finding hotels or lodges in Queenstown for a week cost about the same, so this delay was really eating into my funds. The owner/manager who answered most of the phone calls always gave the impression of being too busy to answer questions or trying to hurry me out the door. I never received a price quote until I stepped forward to pay. When asked "how much will this cost" he just said "not too bad" which isn't an answer. I would have appreciated status updates before or after the weekend, so I could have booked the appropriate amount of hotel nights and been kept informed of the progress. After $2000 and a week delay in travel, I was also very upset to discover the rack had not been properly installed and I lost power steering 2 days later in Te Anau. The local mechanic fixed the issue, and I called Alpine Autos to discuss their mistake. The owner was immediately apologetic and promised to refund the cost of the additional repairs, about $100. If I lived in Queenstown I'd use them again in a pinch, but probably not as my regular mechanic.

Such an amazing experience at the Ladies Night!! They made it so fun and interactive for us to learn more about the everyday things that go into taking care of your car. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. I will absolutely be using them as my go-to mechanic in Queenstown!

If I could give them ten stars I would! The best garage I have ever used. Ended up in the nightmare situation of broken down car on holiday. Turned up at their door on a Monday morning. By 4 pm the same day the car was all ready. Superb service and reasonable price. Can't recommend them enough.

On holiday in NZ and our rental was having problems, Alpine sorted us out really quickly and handled all the liaison with the rental company, fast friendly service made sure our vacation didn't miss a beat!

I was visiting Queenstown for a week when my car ran into some issues and kept stalling when I went to slow down. Adrian squeezed me in and showed me exactly what was wrong with my car and that the spark plugs needed replacing as they were worn out. Very helpful and not intimidating to go into the garage as a female. Also he invited me to a future ladies night where they teach the basics to women that have no idea. Most helpful and friendly.

Rang up with a dead battery and a few minor issues, they said come right in. Was driving away after 15 mins with a new battery and all issues fixed. Great service, value and reliability. Staff were super friendly and really helpful, couldn’t recommend enough!

Had issued shutting my boot, quick phone call to Alpine and they seemed happy for me to jump in for a quick look. Adrien tinkered around for 20 minutes out of his lunch and managed to fix the problem to get me on my way out of queenstown! Absolute life saver and a top bloke. All he asked in return was a wee donation in the charity box - says a lot about him and how this place operates. They'll be sure to sort you out, would 100% recommend!

I've been using Alpine Auto for some years now & found them to be a great bunch of guys even when I take in those tiny awkward "odd" little jobs & they're busy, they go out of their way to ensure my experience is consistantly excellent & work with me to get the job done right, within budget and on time.

This place was so amazing. We were in a real time crunch to get our WoF done in coordination with some travel plans of ours, and they were very friendly and accommodating with getting us an appointment. Everything we needed done to pass the inspection they could arrange for us within walking distance. Great area that has everything you need, and really friendly guys to a bunch of foreigners like us! Went there because I had heard good things around town. My 97 Legacy was throwing a check engine when she got warm and stalling. He came out, showed me how to check the codes, and looked them up for me. Showed me what part needed to be replaced and cleaned my MAF in the parking lot. Told me I had to pay him in a review and I feel like I got my money's worth. If any problems arise in the future I'll be happy to bring them my money. Cheers

Great service, genuine dude. Went in with a vague description he could have booked us in and charged us to check the wheels instead he recommended we pop over and see the Bridgestone guys, it was a couple of egg shaped tires. Bridgestone guys were just as good efficient and great service

I have been here several times and there is nothing to complain about. Very professional, extremely friendly and I felt at no point like they wanted to rip me off. They were always looking for the best solution for me. They worked quickly and I would definitely come back. Can only recommend it and this is judged on German standards.

Can't recommend this place enough! Outstanding service, in-and-out in no time, really helpful technicians, more than fair prices, the list goes on... Adrian even allowed me to fill up my power steering fluid free of charge!! This is the place to go in QT.

These guys are legends. I've been taking them my vehicles for years when I can't fix myself and they never disappoint. I was once quoted $400 dollars for a blower resistor and they found the part and installed for $90. They are usually really busy, so plan ahead if you can.

Adrian and the crew I count in my inner circle. They’re absolute *legends* and we’ve been customers for more than a couple years now. I own an 83 Bronc which I love heart and soul and I can assure you as a self-confessed (car) nut with mild control issues I don’t trust just anyone to work on the old gurl. She’s in safe hands with these good people. Beyond the day-to-day the team are just plain passionate about cars and their customers - including free evening workshops on the basics to keep your engines running smoothly and make sure we all know how to properly fit snow chains! Booked my car in on Thursday and it was ready same day. Friendly service and reasonable rates. Would highly recommend. Not tried their Valeting service but heard good things.

We were looking at purchasing a second hand car in Queenstown and used this garage to perform a pre-purchase assessment. They were busy but found time to fit us in. No stone left unturned in their assessment and a great service.

If you need your car serviced in the Queesntown area, this is the place! Great service, attention to detail, and the most important thing: decent and honest people. You are not going to get any better service. Ask these guys what you need, and your not going to get fooled. Recommended!
