I've been using Pitstop Taupo for 6 years now. The whole team are really friendly and exceptionally professional. Their communication is amazing, I'm always kept well informed throughout the process, they're very helpful in finding good deals for parts, and they have patiently explained things to me on many occasions as I'm not very familiar with cars.

I was attended by a lovely lady, who helped me with something small in my car, others did not take the time. Thank you very much.!!

These guys helped me immediately and seemed thorough in their care and attention to my situation. Thanks team. Really appreciated having a safe place to come in my moment of need.

First class service from them all the way unlike Ford taupo who were so rude to me on the phone I took my Ford to pit stop. They understood the problem, the urgency and the need I had to my vehicle. Professional and awesome and will be my mechanic going forward!!!

I only phoned for some info on my car. But always good and friendly and helpful service.

While on holiday in Taupo we had sudden brake problems the night before check out. I rung pitstop and explained my urgent situation. He told me to bring it in right then and there. 2 hours later I was back on the road finishing my holiday. The team there went above and beyond for me and I'll be forever grateful to them for making a nightmare situation into a very happy ending. Extremely reasonable pricing too, I was thrilled.

WOF done Great communication and their tracking of parts to help with the price is fantastic. The experience when we are informed all the the way through what is happening and why, make you feel confident as a customer and the car is being looked after

The lovely team at Pit Stop Taupo helped us to fix our boot which wouldn’t shut while we were travelling through Taupo. They were incredibly helpful and fixed our boot straight away! Really appreciated the friendly service too. Thank you so much!

On Saturday of Anzac weekend my tyre blew while I was half way from Rotorua to Taupo , no one was open in either Rotorua or Taupo except for The Pit Stop. I can not begin to express how grateful I am to have the phone answered so promptly and to know they would wait for me while I was towed to Taupo. They went above and beyond. Very very grateful

Susan fitted new wipers. Had bought some elsewhere which were wrong type so she had correct ones in stock. Very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

Good for quick servicing not recommended for detailed service. They don't stand on what they promise to deliver and overpriced. I was promised to repair my car's suspension both side, wiper blades with extensive service for around $85 (This month W.O.F was free). Instead of extensive service they did express service and still charged for same amount. In fact they released my car 2 days later then promised day. Waste of money.

As a new resident to Taupo I was a little unsure about where to take my car to get some repairs done. As the biggest job was replacing part of the exhaust I chose Pit Stop. I couldnt be happier with my choice. Peter, Susan and the team are super welcoming and very helpful. They took my job on the same day even though I turned up around 2pm, and even managed to have it finished for me that evening. A+ service, I will definitely be back.

Went in previous day, said wanted "motor, gearbox, diff oil done." He said" full service then" between 200 and 250 depending on oil. I said OK. Dropped off next day at 8 pm got told be about an hour and a half. Got back to see tyres off, thought strange, asked about gear box and diff oil. Got" oh did you want that done." Long story short cost me $747. 62, total of 5hour wait . When I questioned why it was so much over the quote, he said I thought you just wanted those oil checked. The only thing I had want was my oils done. Not happy wiped out my savings. Quality of work done seems fine, however I feel I was misled as he gave the impression a full service was all my oils. Would advise to get a written quote before getting any work done there. UPDATE Have rung the shop and explained I feel I was misled. They have agreed to refund the extensive service charge of $123.00 when I get back tomorrow. I am happy with this. Update result tomorrow. Update. No issues payed. I must state that I have no issues with any of their mechanical work, it was all first rate. This has been a misunderstanding of what I requested

Car suffered a fairly serious failure on the way up the country, stopped into pit stop unannounced and they made time to have a look! Turns out some major work was needed, left the car with them and at every step of the way they were excellent with their communication and the price quoted was pretty close to the final price. One very happy customer, cheers guys!

Had brake problems and don't live in Taupo . Sales Rep on the road so needed the car looked at asap so I could keep on the road for my sales trip ( all week). I called late in the afternoon explaining my situation. The guys got on to investigating the problem , found it then explained to me what was needed. Told them to proceed . Job took about 1 3/4 hours and I was on the road again. They were busy at the time but I guess they could see if I couldn't get on the road I would have a waste of a sales trip .This was a great relief for me . I actually thought the price was fair. Full praise for their efforts.

Had an issue with my car after driving up from wellington. They offered to take a look on Saturday and squeeze me in to get me back on thd road. Ran me through the issue and sorted me out with a temporary fix to get me home. Very fast and efficient thanks!!

We traveled up from Auckland with a new can belt in our car which needed a little bit of a tighten . Asked everybody in Taupo to just check if it needed tightening but everybody was to busy or asking for us to pay extreme prices just to check .. except the team at Pitstop without hesitation the team checked even with a shop full of cars they still checked & did it for us . We were willing to pay but they refused us paying anything . So thankful & wouldn’t recommend anyone else !!! Thank you team

Emailed in the evening with a query about towbar fitting, got a call back next morning with a price. Great customer service. They've got the job when I've got the money to proceed

Peter, Susan and the team are always so helpful. I have turned up a few times now with a car that is in trouble. They have always managed to fit me in. Have been most accommodating with my children and I have always been greeted with a smile. I would highly recommend Pit Stop Taupo to all locals and visitors. They have helped me get back on the road every time, no matter how big or small the problem, always with a quick turnaround. I will definitely choose them as my number one stop for any of our car services/problems. Thank you Peter and Susan.

Mark was an absolute gent and even changed our tyre quickly and before 8am! Couldn’t of asked for any better! He gave us all the options and had light hearted chat as well. Highly recommend

Susan & Mark were absolutely wonderful! Me and my partners vehicle had broken down in Taupo on the way to Hamilton from Wellington and Susan got us in on Saturday very sincere and caring towards the situation! Mark gave us both good advice and was very time efficient Definitely recommend using Pitstop Taupo!! :)

Saturday morning i put a post on social media, by lunch time i had MARK organizing me my tyres and then fitting after hours as had to travel from 2 hours away. This guy had extensive knowledge. With just a quick look and explained to me the importantance of engine care i will be driving back to have my car worked on. I can not thank you enough Mark. And Peter for a wicked deal. Highly recommended

Backpackers road tripping around NZ in our little gold Nissan woke up to a flat tyre on Saturday morning. Went to pit stop because they had good reviews and were actually open on a Saturday! Knowing they closed at noon we arrived around 11:30am and they were awesome!! Got us in as soon as they could even though it was almost closing time. Fixed our leaking tyre quickly and gave us a great price. Very greatful for your service pit stop! Thank you :)

very helpful owner Peter helped us out on Saturday late afternoon and didn't charge us the world for the new tyre either. Many thanks and we happily got on with our travels.

Had a breakdown in Taupo, got us back on the road, promptly. As we own our own mechanical repair shop, unannounced breakdowns affect the work flow, but they squeezed us in & got the fault sorted, Thanks

Broke racecar exhaust in half at Taupo race track which needed some pretty swift assistance, went to a workshop around the corner who were unwilling to help! However on stopping in at Taupo Pitstop the greeting was very different. In under an hour it was fixed and other areas checked and reinforced. Excellent service, helped make my weekend in Taupo

Went there as our backpacker Honda Odessey lost a little more oil. Fixed it quick, for a good price! Very nice couple running that place, now called pitstop!
