My son had car issues traveling from Palmerston North to Mt Maunganui. Turangi Auto Centre provided fantastic customer service and repaired car in timely manner. Extremely grateful to you all!

It was Sunday afternoon 30th January 22, at around 4.30pm when we heard a loud 'clunck' coming from the engine just as we were turning on to SH47, opposite the National Park petrol station, heading towards Turangi. Everything shut down and we cruised to a halt on the side of the road. A phone call to a friend in Turangi suggested we contact Turangi Auto Centre. About 3/4 of an hour later the truck arrived and a very efficient and courteous young man, Dan, had the car on board, and we were on our way back to Turangi where he dropped us off at the place we were staying. Simon and his team did a quick check of the damage and made some suggestions for repairing the motor but we needed to be back in Morrinsville by Wednesday. Arrangements were made for Shaun to load us up and we were on our way to Morrinsville. It was a pleasant drive back with another person who knew what he was doing. Shaun was also very efficient and courteous. You have a great team Simon and thank you for the way the guys looked after us. Alby and Alison Winiata 03/02/2022

Yesterday I had an issue with my car, we got to the Chateau with a very low battery on my EV and I didn't think I'd make it back to Turangi. I called up to see if it would be possible to get a tow and the lady I spoke to was so helpful. I explained that I was going to try and see how far back I could get and when I ran out I would pull over and wait for a tow. As it happened I managed to make it all the way back to Turangi but I wanted to say thank you for the amazing attitude, I had 3 kids in the car and knowing that there was a backup was so reassuring.

On Tuesday 12th October we were travelling through the desert Rd when an engine light came on in our Campervan. Simon and his team got our vehicle in immediately and diagnosed and fixed the fault. 24 hours later we recieved a follow up call from him to see how the vehicle was running. My step father, sister and myself had travelled from Christchurch, and we were going all the way to Kaikohe. That was until we had broken down 10 minutes out of Turangi district. After trying all our resources for help. We called Turangi Autos, explained our situatuation🙂 they came straight out and took us into town. The car was given a new belt and a new water pump it was also given a full service . Car was done within a week and abit, and it's performance has been better than the way the car was when the old man had brought it😅..top repair shop and done amazingly quick and efficiently 🙃 thanks team at Turangi Autos

Stück on the road with the rented campervan. We arrived 4.45 PM and the friendly lady at the reception told they closed 5 PM. A employee did a quick check at the car and the conclusion was we have to wait till next day. Very helpful to find the camping. Next day exactly 9AM they started working found the problem ordered a new alternator and 1.30 we were on the road again. The garage arranged all with the rental company so no costs for us. We were unlucky enough to have a flat battery up Ruapehu and after a jump start from a passerby our engine light came out along with some flashing messages about TRC and AWD. We rang AA who advised us if possible to head to Turangi Auto Centre and see of they could help. They were incredibly helpful, gave our car a diagnostic test and reset our car so we could safely return to Hamilton that night. This all happened between 4-5pm so close to closing time. We can't thank them enough for helping us and giving us peace of mind on our trip home. Would highly recommend.

Broke down desert road after hours, no mobile network and raining, once I got network after walking 1km, they got to me and towed within 30min, hooked me up with one of their rentals to complete my trip to Akd. Left my truck with them to work on, confirmed it was an Auto Electrical issue, they towed to Buckton Auto Electrical in Taupo to complete the job. They also provide a pick up service so did not need to return rental to their shop. Cant thank them enough. well done guys keep up the good work.

So impressed with the team at Turangi Auto Centre. Sean (Sorry if I spelt it wrong) who towed my car during Labour Weekend was kind, professional, and took the time to put me at ease and explain things clearly. Such a lovely guy who represents the company well and customer service is A++. I was told they would look at the car on the Tuesday after the weekend and contact me no later than Wednesday morning. This afternoon (Tuesday) Simon was on the phone letting me know what was wrong, how they were going to put it right, giving me a timeframe, and a cost estimate. Absolute legends! The car will hopefully ready on Friday afternoon but they explained that if there are further issues they will contact me so I don't make the trip to collect the car and it is not ready. Fantastic customer service! Thanks Turangi Auto Centre.

Positives: friendly & genuine team, supplies Bosch parts, does very thorough warrant of fitness. Negatives: need to book WOFs well in advance, last job took almost 2 months before Xmas, they also did not start any work on my car until all parts arrived. Also battery went from sitting there too long.

If you ever need mechanical help in the Turangi area I highly recommend this team. A thoroughly professional outfit who went the extra mile to help us out when we broke down recently just before the Desert Rd. Sean, the breakdown driver, was excellent and got our vehicle going so we could get back to Turangi, and they squeezed us in the next morning to complete the repair job. Excellent knowledge, professionalism and courteous service, all at a very reasonable price.

It was 7 pm on a cold Turangi night when our car failed to start (on our last day of holiday). Compounding the fact was we had to be out of our accommodation at 10 am the following morning Within 30 minutes one of the team from Turangi Auto Centre had arrived to see if they could solve the problem. Unfortunately the problem couldn't be resolved & the car had to be towed. Not knowing if they could have us up & running in the morning they helped arrange a rental car for us the following day if needed Thankfully early the next day they got us back on the road & crisis averted We were impressed with the speed of the initial response & then the ability to get us going again in the morning.

Fantastic service, friendly team! We found ourselves with a very flat tyre on the morning that we were to travel back to Auckland in our 14 seater van. Unable to remove the special bracket from the old tyre to the spare tyre it was time to call in the experts. After only 3 rings the phone was answered by a lovely friendly chirpy lady (this was a surprise at 6am on a Sunday). She told me not to panic, assessed the situation, advised how long it would take and the price. The technician turned up exactly when she said he would. He was really friendly said he could fix it no problem. All done and on the road again!

I'm basically from Auckland but I was travelling North Island over the weekend to celebrate my 25th birthday. I was driving from New Plymouth to Taupo at the middle of cold night (1°C) this Friday, September 28th. I was driving on SH 32 on western bay road when my car lost control and went deep into the bushes. It was literally flying in the air for few seconds and I was scared to death. There was no reception there but the police came and dropped us to the nearest town where they gave us the business card of Turangi Auto Centre. A lady named Shiree pulled over at the place of crash way before police or anyway showed up. She was the first person to contact Simon and inform him about the accident and later I found out that Simon and Turangi Auto Centre was the same, Thank God!! I can't thank her enough and I can't thank Simon enough because no one could have helped us the way he did. He not only picked us from where the police dropped us. He took us back to the accident place, brought our car back to the road from bushes and trees, towed our car all the way to Turangi town centre, gave us few options of what we can do. We stayed in Turangi for two days and next day he dropped us to the nearest Hong Kong restaurant. He not only gave us excellent service but he also treated us as his guest. I can not wait to be back on those roads again to actually finish my trip in a good way but if I ever drive across this area again, I'm meeting this guy just to say hello! With Simon on the street, I feel like I'm covered! Thank you so much Simon ❤😊

Breaking down is something you don’t want to happen but feel fortunate if you break down in Turangi and use this business. I honestly was on the verge of a nervous breakdown but the staff here were great and got us back on the road in under 2 hours when a number of other businesses said they couldn’t help.
