First time customer At STR today, our 2019 Peugeot 3008 was due a service and we choose these guys. From the get go these guys have impressed, lovely friendly staff and everything went like clockwork, a txt the day before to remind me of my appointment and quick professional service when I arrived . Highly recommend STR and Steve in particular. Car broke down on a drive through to Auckland and the team went out of their way to help and get the repairs done that day. Extremely grateful!!

Massive thank you to Steve & Tracey from STR Automotive for saving me an arm and a leg! They are so genuine, honest and knowledgeable. Blew my mind when another Automotive shop quoted me $1600 for a new door lock, took it to STR who firstly only quoted me $560 and when i arrived Steve fixed it in 2mins.... Lock wasn't even broken. Saved me from being scammed! Will always trust my car with them :) Thank you!!

Cannot recommend more highly! Steve at STR was so helpful this morning, after a broken alternator belt left me stranded on a long journey home. In the middle of a busy morning for the shop, he found a part, secured a great price and installed in the blink of an eye. Then he goes and turns a string of bad fortune around and won't let me pay for his help. Thanks so much Steve, if you were in Whangarei, we'd be coming to you every time. Put simply : go here for kind and trustworthy service.

We're two backpackers who encountered some severe problems with our car and needed it fixed asap. They had a look at it and didn't charge us anything until they knew what the problem was, and repaired it the same day for a very reasonable price. The staff were super helpful and kind. Would definitely recommend to anybody!

FANTASTIC SERVICE & EXPERIENCE. I am so grateful to Tracey, Steve and the team at STR automotive. I had battery issues with my campervan whilst refuelling in Warkworth. They had excellent communication and service. Despite the extreme lack of notice I presented them with they manage to assist me with running a batery diagnostic test and replacing it within half an hour. I was especially grateful as it was Steve's day off yet he was willing to stick around and get us back on the road. Warkworth STR Automotive are are THE BEST MECHANICS I have ever experienced. They went above and beyond is absolutely every way possible. They not only gave me a price which was THOUSANDS less than everyone else, but also fixed my car to perfection. They even cleaned my car and fixed some little jobs with no extra cost. STR Automotive are extremely affordable and are one of the only places which didn't charge me more money because I am a female. I would highly recommend STR Warkworth and I will definitely be coming back. Thank you again guys - especially the amazing Steve.

I cannot recommend STR Automative highly enough. My camper was recently out on hire and broke down on the couple renting it, when they were near Warkworth. They towed the van back to their garage, gave the renters a courtesy car so they could drive back to Auckland and catch their flight home, then diagnosed the problem and got the job done - including getting another company in to repair the crank shaft and dropping the van back to me in Auckland! Refreshing to find mechanics who genuinely care about doing an awesome job! Really nice people, great job and fantastic service.

STR Automotive is a good trustworthy mechanic for European cars. The service and wof packages are at a good price too. European car's have weird and tricky faults – these are efficiently diagnosed and repaired at a price that doesn’t bankrupt you. STR Automotive also have courtesy cars if needed.

Honest lovely people. Was looked after really well when I was worried something major was wrong with my car. They did a thorough check over everything and very happy with the service I recieved. Thanks again.

THERE'S NO DOUBT WE PUT STR TO THE ULTIMATE TEST AND THEY PASSED WITH FLYING COLOURS. I think it's fair to say that my son and I are the worst customers STR have ever had. No undercover reviewer would have had the gall to put them through what we have. We gave Steve a car that should really have been written off to try and fix and while he was valiantly trying to do this, my son wrote off the STR courtesy car Steve had kindly let my son use while he spent weeks trying to find parts for a nearly dead 1994 Peugeot. A week before my son wrote off STR's Vw, he had driven it into the back of a brand new VW. All of this happened while STR were "closed" over the Xmas break.. but there Steve was standing on the side of the road with us as the wreck of his car was extracted from the gorse and toi toi on a Sunday morning.. still smiling and pleased that my son was OK . My son had been driving outside his license conditions and so Tracey (Steve's as patient and generous partner) also had a mighty mess to sort out. All through this Steve and his team kept working on the Peugeot despite the fact that doing so was not a cost effective thing for them to do. There is no doubt that these guys are great mechanics but it's Steve and Tracey and the way they care about people as much as cars, that makes all the difference here. TAKE YOUR CARS TO STR - they are the best mechanics and the best people!!

I could not recommend this company more highly!! They took our broken Volvo in at 4:30pm on their last day prior to their Xmas break! After checking it over they lent us a loan car to get back to Auck. Steve then repaired it the following day (his holiday!). But that wasn't all! He then drove it toward Auck to meet us half-way for the hand over so that we didn't have to get caught up in all the xmas traffic heading up north! We were seriously blown away by this service and it was all done with a smile!!. Love this team and their approach to their business. I just wish they were closer to Auckland as they would be our permanent workshop for both our Euro Vehicles.

Good, fast, efficient service... friendly staff, good processes in place and reasonably priced. A wealth of experience and knowledge across many marquees even, with some of the older more oddball European models.
