Love the guys at car tech. They're super friendly and always take the time to explain things thoroughly for me. They're always there to help and give advice when I need it too!

Phil is an honest mechanic, you can't get any better than that. He is also a great guy.

Phil and the team at Car Tech are awesome! I have previously taken my Audi in for a Wof there, and today they managed to have a look over it before a big drive as I had some worries about it that came up over the weekend. They are very helpful, friendly and have really great pricing - and very helpful at explaining what everything means for someone who doesn’t know much about cars! I will definitely be using them as my mechanic in future, and suggest you should too!

I've been taking my car to Car Tech for about 3 years now. Always great service. They ring before doing any work, so you don't get any surprise bills. Service invoice is itemised and clear, with future recommendations if needed. I always leave feeling confident that my car is sorted and safe. Excellent Mechanics I would recommend to anyone.

I have used Car Tech Island Bay for well over five years since they were first recommended to me and I have always had great service with quality, reliable repairs and services at a fair price. Phil and his crew are all friendly, helpful professionals who go well beyond the minimum. As an older retiree on a limited income, I have found Phil to be straight up in his advice, as well as understanding and flexible in meeting my needs for a safe, roadworthy vehicle within my means. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Phil and his team at Cartechs in Island Bay have been servicing my family's vehicles for the last 15 years or so. I have found them to be very genuine and realistic with their quotes and the servicing has always been excellent. If an unknown problem / fault has been detected Phil has always called to discuss and advise. Phil has at times gone out of his way to be of help and assistance - a genuine good guy who look after his clients!I really respect and appreciate this company and the work they do and have recommended others to them over the years.

We have used Phil at Car Tech for the last 20 years, he has always been extremely reliable, very well priced and delivered with a friendly smile. It has come to our attention that apparently someone who has never used Phil's service has used 3 different names to write one star bogus reviews about car tech, on the same day: (Kristina Bartlett, James Smith and Dave Dean) It saddens me that people will go to these lows, so please note, these are not accurate reviews and have been reported to google...(please note, we have talked extensively to Phil about his travels oversea's and his knowledge and passion for other cultures, and he has always treated us with the utmost professionalism and respect...)

The guys at Cartech were recommended to us by locals and we have had reliable, efficient and helpful service for our business and personal vehicles from them for over 4 years. They are also good value for money and always try to give us the cheapest options when getting work done. Would recommend them highly.

I have been taking my car to Car Techs Island Bay since I moved to the area and got my first car which is three years ago now. Since this was my first car, I knew little to nothing about cars and how to keep them running. Luckily, Phil was the first Mechanic who I had come across in the area and based on my first impressions, I found him to be very helpful, honest, and fair about prices and the work that actually needed to be done. I was always worried that I would get a mechanic who would take advantage of the fact that I knew nothing about cars but that was not the case with Island Bay Car Techs. They offer great services and Phil has always responded promptly to any questions or concerns I have had regarding my car. I have been rest assured knowing that I have a mechanic that I can trust which I know for many is hard to find. To anyone out there who is looking for a trustworthy mechanic, I would highly recommend that you check them out!

Have used Car Techs for my cars for years now, never had a problem and have always found Phil and his team helpful and friendly. He even came out to my workplace car park to replace a flat battery! Great service!

Phil and his team have been looking after our cars for nearly a decade. Their work was always super reliable, and he’s been available for drop-off urgent things like an unplanned pre-purchase inspection with very little notice. Would highly recommend.

The friendly helpful team of mechanics and technicians serviced my friend's vehicle. She was very happy with how they treated her and her car and what they charged her. They were patient and explained the mysteries of how a car worked in layperson's terms and what her car needed doing to it. Very convenient location next to a northbound and southern bound bus stops with loads of parking. These people sell real Christmas trees in Dec.

Been going to Cartech for over 7 years now even though I now live in the greater wellington area. Phil has kept me in the picture on all matters pertaining to the service of my camry. Professional & Flexible with No Fluffing Around. That's why I keep going back. Have never been any where else since been referred to by a friend. We have used Cartechs for a number of years. They are very helpful and always fit us "urgently" when we have an emergency. Work is always done in a timely fashion and their advise is always helpful

We have been going to CarTech since Phil took over the garage 18 years ago. Phil and his mechanics have always been very friendly and reliable.

It has taken me awhile to apologize for the reviews I left regarding the lies about a petrol or diesel spill at yr business. I have never been to your business and I don’t even know you. I have since removed the review. I was employed by DIANA WALKER at DAILY WASTE at the time and was instructed by HER to leave that review. She said they wanted to ruin your business and affect the sale. She also instructed me to phone and email lies to your real estate agent. I have the evidence if you want it. They are all very nasty, foul mouthed, twisted, bullying dishonest thugs, but she is truly a ugly and evil hag aided by all in her lies and deceit but she mainly conspires with Michael Walker and Glen Gray. Weird. I am embarrassed that I carried out so many dirty deeds for her, it wasn’t just you and your business that was targeted. Daily Waste has a hostile work environment with constant backstabbing and foul talk from the directors and staff. My impression is that they hate each other. They are a very very dysfunctional family and business. Their customer service is a joke. Recycling is another joke. Laffin. I was constructively dismissed my lawyer says. Teina Gray called me into his office to blame me for an error then told me to F off home. That was the last straw for me and in short I got a lawyer. I then proceeded to remove the review as no longer working there. I will also remove the other false review, (having issues with removal at the moment.) I know I have committed a crime and I have tried to cover it up. I should have said no but I let her use me to do her criminal work. There is no excuse I am pathetic and nasty too, but they are evil. Through mediation and many other situations while I was employed there I saw how deceitful and vindictive they are. So many employees have been mistreated and threatened. They need to be exposed for their wrongdoing.

My family and i have been taking our vechicles to Phils garage for over 5 years hes great hes friendly and his mechanics do a great job...He will fit us in if its an emergency and goes the xtra mile to help...Thankyou Phil for looking after us...ka pai 😁

Have had my kids cars fixed and serviced for the last 3 years at Car tech, they have always been amazing!!

Super friendly, honest and rapid service. Cheapest option for the repairs I needed, costing only half the price compared to other mechanics in Wellington(!)
