Craig is a Knight in Shining Armor! Our cars drive belt & idler were damaged on a trip down to Wgtn to visit father in law in Karori rest home. Needed car repaired so we could return home. Karori Auto pulled out all the stops to source replacement parts & had it repaired in a day! Reasonable rates & stellar service. They are local legends. Highly recommended!!

Craig and his team at Karori Auto Services are amazing. I have taken my car to them a few times for various things and they are such good honest mechanics. I more recently had my WOF done, and even though my car isn't the newest, I have been taking good care of it and they didn't charge me for a bunch of unnecessary things. Their customer service is on point and I feel as though my car was in very good capable hands. I couldn't recommend them highly enough.

Have just come back to Craig and the team after quite awhile going somewhere else due to new car warranty requirements. Craig found the last invoice etc from the previous place and noted they were suggesting work that in Craig’s view wasn’t even remotely needed. They were just trying to get their sales numbers up. Makes me wonder how much I’ve been ripped off over that time away. Craig is honest as the day is long and I trust him and the team 100%. Best Auto place I know.

Fantastic service. We had a failed radiator two days out from Christmas and they got the problem sorted for us. We didn't have a booking, so they took a look in the evening. More than I would ever expect from a garage, and all with a friendly smile. Can't recommend them highly enough.

Only been here once recently, but was very impressed with the service I received. The team were good at communicating status of work, ordering parts etc They were friendly and did a quality job. Will be booking in with them for my next service and future repairs.

I want to thank you Craig and his team of good mechanics (they deserve more than 5 stars). Craig is very helpful and kind. I've only had my first service done to fix a list of things for my car so far and was really glad I went here. I'm so pleased with the repair outcome and passed my WOF. It is good to come here for a 2nd opinion if you are with other mechanics or just get your car fixed here, if you think that other mechanics are making a profit or dont feel right to fix your car. The mechanics here are very knowledgeable and charge a reasonable price (and wont rip you off, they are so honest). I also, came back today as I was struggling to loosen the drain plug for my oil change and Craig gave me tips to use my tool properly. He was encouraging me (teaching) and helped me loosen the plug at the end. I was happy away going home to DIY and he made it possible for me to change my engine oil. Craig you are a wonderful human being.I appreaciate you and your team for the professional services and i”ll always come back to you for my car needs, even if I have to drive a long way from home...lol. These guys are amazing! I have taken my car there a couple of times now and I can’t fault them. My car had a loud rattle and I had taken it to other mechanics without anyone being able to fix it. Took it to these guys to get my brakes done and they were able to fix the rattle as well! So flexible with time and worked around my schedule so I wouldn’t be without my car for work. Made the whole process easy and stress free. They went above and beyond to get the best price for me when my car needed a new tail light. Awesome team.

We have been using Craig for over 20 years. Excellent service. He goes above and beyond to help out. Great communication, keeps you informed about what's happening and how much it will cost. Looks over cars for us when buying a new one. Great advice and always friendly.

Honestly this is the BEST place to get your car repaired. Very professional. Very good rates. Will always throw in free stuff. Regular communication all through. Never going anywhere else!!

I've been going to Karori Auto Services for over 30 years. I've found Craig, who owns the garage to always have time to discuss the best options and he has given me excellent advice when I've looked for replacement cars. I've found his team, service and support to be excellent and would highly recommend them.

Highly recommended. Great service, honest and transparent and car is running smoother than ever. You can tell these guys really know cars inside out. Glad I have found my go to mechanic in Wellington.

My vehicle broke down in Wellington a few weeks ago, and was towed to Karori Auto Services. Very friendly and speedy service saw me back on the road within two working days and back to Palmerston North in time for work. They were also very thorough in checking my vehicle was safe and ready to return back to the road, they would not hand me back the keys until they were satisfied with their work. Very professional!!! Highly recommend!

Decided to try this garage because of the reviews on google and I’m very glad I did. Took the car to them for a full service and check up after I’d bought the car from a dealer. They brought up some issues with car that I managed to get the dealer to fix. Reasonable price and brilliant genuine customer service. Thanks guys.

I cannot recommend Karori Auto Services highly enough. My electric car had a warrant of fitness and service there, and I received outstanding service from Craig who went above and beyond to deal with a tricky wof issue. He was extremely knowledgeable and professional, especially regarding electric cars.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! I cannot speak highly enough of this place! I arranged to take in my car in for it’s WOF and needed the car back for an unexpected airport run - the guys made sure my car was looked at first thing in the morning and it was ready for the airport run! Approachable and friendly staff made this a seamless and easy experience! Thanks for going above and beyond! Great service.

Always friendly and helpful. Have been going there for over 15 years. Craig even helped me out on Christmas day once when my window wouldn't work and we supposed to travel up north. Saved our holiday plans! Definitely recommend.

Great service, usually inside a day, and reasonably priced. If they discover that the work is not in their skill set they will recommend a reputable company to fix the problem. Near public transport too, so you can drop off your car and easily bus to work. Would recommend to anyone.

I have been taking my car(s) to Craig at Karori Auto Services for many years, they are fantastic especially when it comes to sourcing 2nd hand parts and fixing rather than replacing. I have always felt I can TRUST them to not do anything that doesn't need doing, they really know their stuff!

Great service, good prices, reliable, friendly, points out what is good what isn't and everything else you need to know. 11/10 would recommend and not change my mechanic. Can't wait for their new shop to open!

My first visit to Karori Auto and I am 100% satisfied. Craig explained all the repairs that needed doing and then arranged for panelbeating at no extra cost or mark-up. Figure the earlier disgruntled reviewer must have had some axe to grind or other motive because my experience was the opposite of his and I was pleasantly surprised by the final bill.

My car failed it's WOF the passenger head light was too high. I have always taken my car to VTNZ but not anymore I'm going to Karori Auto Services they are quick efficient and well priced and I had it back within the day.

Friendly and honest advice, by far the best mechanics I've ever dealt with. Clearly very experienced, and a great price for the work I got done. Highly recommend!

Our 2012 Holden Captiva has had 2 driver seat belts fail, one as a result of a WOF inspection in 2015. The 2nd was Sept 2018, less than 2yrs of wear, since the 1st replacement. The problem in both cases was fraying on both edges of the belt and the 2nd case with a curve, just like I get with your trouser belt over time. Holden replaced the 1st time under warranty but were not keen to replace again without a contribution to costs from us which we strongly objected. After discussing with Craig & his seat-belt man, Holden still wanted a lesser contribution to replace, again we disagreed. Holden then requested an email from KAS and Craig without question duly obliged resulting in Holden finally agreeing to replace at there cost with 2yr warranty. 3 driver seat belts in 6yrs is totally unsatisfactory and Holden's reluctance to accept costs on the 2nd replacement was disappointing even though the vehicle was now outside the warranty. So its with pleasure that Craig & his team get our thanks for his time and attention & assisting us to get a fantastic result. Barry H

Friendly, professional team who kindly dealt to my realtively minor car issue as a drop in. Small thing fixed made a massive difference to sanity in driving the car with a rattling muffler and with one less thing to do closer to Christmas the time-saving for me in not having to come back was just as important. Will return. Thanks!

Amazing garage !!! They take care of our problems on our van, for a reasonable price! All of them are kind and they take time to explain everything and how to fix the problem if it's happened again. Thank you to karori auto service !!!!!!!

It is very rare this day and age to have absolute confidence in the integrity of an auto service outfit. Karori Auto Service is the exception for me. These guys have kept us informed at every point of a convoluted checklist of WOF fails from VTN. They addressed each issue smartly and suggested options for the complex issues that could have just as easily enventuated in replacing the part unnecessarily. At no point was I left unsure of progress or uncertain of the costs involved. I dont 5 star easily.

Best in town! Very friendly and they go out of their way to help. Craig was especially helpful finding and fitting parts for my old Lancer. Thanks heaps!
