Just moved back to Wellington and needed to find a mechanic from now on, one that i can trust, doesn’t rip me off and who doesn’t milk unnecessary expenses. Good reviews of Thomson so i gave them a go. He will send me a text if any work is needed for my car to pass its WOF and will do the work that day if I'm happy with it. Finally a car servicing business that cares, and at a very reasonable price. I took my car to Thomsen Automotive for a service and came away very happy. The job was done quickly, on time with excellent communication when booking and picking the car up. They provided a detailed invoice telling me what was done, and the price was a very pleasant surprise, much less than my previous dealership service. I contacted Thomsen Automotive after being shocked at the quote from the dealership to service my vehicle. They were very easy to deal with, explained what needed doing clearly, used genuine parts and I left having saved hundreds of dollars. Had my VW Passat in for a general check over, and some repair work. Dave and Seb were great to deal with, great communication and accurate pre-repair pricing, which was competitive. Would not hesitate to recommend, they repair anything from 'run-abouts' to performance cars in a professional manner.

Very friendly and helpful, showed up unannounced and had a look at our door lock that needed replacing, didn’t have the part but contacted people for us to try and find one. Great Place, I went there because my front was damaged. Sadly the mechanic couldn't help he said because he did not have the tools. But he told us exactly what was wrong and helped us find a place where the repair could be done and he actually didn't charge anything. Very nice guy, very helpful. Can only recommend this place!!
