It is rare for me to be completely blown away by good service, but if I could give these guys 10 stars it still wouldn't be enough. I drove away, not only gobsmacked by their thoughtfulness and kindness, but also wondering how I could pass it on, it was so amazing. It turns out there are good people in the world, and some of them work at Midas, Whangarei. Thank you very very very much. (They were also, incidentally, really quick and really good value.)

I had an extremely positive and efficient experience with these guys. I am a backpacker from the USA and I have noticed that mechanics tend to take advantage of travelers. These guys were extremely, professional, friendly and punctual. After they looked at my van I got extremely helpful advice from the mechanic on how to proceed with repairs in my circumstance. They gave me cost estimates and told me what was worth fixing since I am only going to own the van for a short time. All in all these are stand up guys and I would highly recommend a visit if you need a mechanic.

Whilst others bookings were full for a week in advance I was able to book in the next day. The service was great and they took my vehicle to the testing station next door for my WOF recheck. The charge was very reasonable and I an happy with standard of workmanship.

As a solo female traveler, I really recommend this garage! They were really nice, honest and they explained me what was wrong with my car, showing me the parts that needed to be changed and gave me advices. Car failed warrant on headlights and handbrake. Took to the team at Midas on Lower Port Road, Whangarei. They were on it right away and although the repairs were more complicated than first expected they had the work done in an afternoon. The cheapest place I could find in Whangarei to get brake pads. They are located right next to a testing station too, and to save me time after they fitted my brake pads they went and got my car rechecked for me! So helpful. All the staff were really friendly too.
