F. E.Epic Bakery, a classic old school establishment. You've got a big choice of cakes, biscuits, and slices all the classics like Lolly Cake, Belgium Biscuits, Apple Shortcake, and Gluten free options. Then filled rolls and sandwiches lots of options there and pies. Plus fresh bread, and Buns that can be cut to order.
K. C.Nice lunch had here and a lovely boysenberry tart. Took home some frozen treats to have later and these are also great. Would definitely come back if in town.

S. K.The food they have there is top shelf. It pays to get there earlier in the day as they are super popular and it seems to go quickly. They cater for those that don't eat meat which is a refreshing change.

M. S.We called in last week for a Tap Dancing Contest in Tinwald and purchased lunch at the end of closing on Saturday. The staff were very friendly and the food was fresh and tasty. The chocolate chip biscuits were massive and went down a treat.

F. C.Great and friendly service, and good pies. Not the most mind blowing pie though, pastry is flavourless and feels like either white bread or cardboard, filling is okay too, but not Sheffield Pie quality. But the staff are Ka Pai.

M. D.We had the trucker’s pie, steak&mushroom pie and potato mash pie, all were very hearty, filling and delicious! The ladies behind the counter were lovely and always greeting us with a warm smile. Highly recommend as a stopover for a quick bite between Christchurch and Lake Tekapo. There’s seating outside and very clean toilets. It’s right on the highway so you can’t miss it! So good and will be back again

J. L.Heart warming savoury pies & pasties, excellent slice selection, but the one thing they do that makes me stop by more than I should when passing through; is the classic Filled Roll. A sandwich from my youth often immatated but never beaten 😆 as the one at Sims pretty much nails it.
Soft pilllowy roll; so light, it could float away in a breeze if not for the filling. Beetroot, because in NZ, we need it between bread with meat. The right amount of crunchy water lettuce, not too little & not too much. A slice of ham that doesn't dominate the flavour of the of the experience. And a bit of boiled egg because it seals the deal.
If I lived in Ash-vegus I'd probably have it for lunch every day.
