A great spot to try a wide range of pies and other savoury delights. I haven't tried the cakes but they look great. Owner is a good guy 👍 you can even lock your bike up right outside the shop.

We Always buy eggless birthday cake. They are do delicious and moist that you actually don’t realize theres no eggs in them. My nenas 93 birthday cake was a hit with all. Ordering on The phone though is difficult as the staff are rude but the cake makes up for this. A must go to for all you vegetarians and allergic to eggs like me 🥰

We tried this achari paneer pizza from bake and beans papatoetoe and it was awesome. We loved it. Definitely will come back to try more pizza’s.

Very nice service. Good range of pies and cakes. Very authentic Indian flavours. Munchurian was spicy but tolerable so it is for those that want to dare and kinda blow up but still survive. Definitely worth the try though to experience it. The vegetable options are good and full of flavour. The puff pastry is really flaky so be prepared for a mess but a good time. The lamb pies are slightly dry and has less cheese but are still okay if you are hungry. The mango cake is very creamy and sugary and doesn’t taste that much like mango. The sponge is very soft and moist but the flavours need to be stronger and less sugary for those that are sugar conscious. Would go back and try other flavours. They have lovely customer service and are quite popular. Would recommend to try out at least once.

I gave the picture from Google to the shop and they just made it perfectly in the shape, colour, taste, text, that decorations totally amazing....... Don't know they have magical pencil or what but that cake was absolute beauty. Keep going guys doing great job and thank you so much. Cheers

Mostly good. Pretty tasty pies & pastry puffs. Alright service. The cakes are well priced and good quality. $50 for standard is reasonable. The $25 edible baby thing made out of sugar looked of good quality, too. However, "Congratulation"? C'mon. Bit disappointing.

Very cheerful and efficient staff. Had to travel a bit to buy flakey Indian tea-time savoury biscuits, which were good. A tad disappointed with the walnut cake bar, which was not moist enough. The chakli (indian savoury snack) tried from this outlet for the first time, disappointing. The taste was not authentic and respectfully request the outlet to attempt another recipie. One packet had more broken pieces than the fully shaped snack. All the above is constructive and should not be taken in a negative way.

Bake and beans is just amazing!! I really like all of their vegetarian pies. The cakes and pastries are delicious specially the cassata cakes. Their biscuits range is also just awesome. My favourite is coconut biscuit. Keep it up bake and beans!! Good luck!!

The reason for my rating star is, yesterday I went to Bake & Beans. I asked if they do dairy free or egg free cake. They said they don't do it and also some of the staff were not friendly to customers. There are some people who want to buy dairy free, egg free or gluten free cake & you guys say you don't do it. What a Shame, some people have allergic or can't have dairy products or egg in a cake. Cheese Cake shop is much, much better than this. They do dairy free, egg free and also Vegan Cake too.

Try my best not to stop in on my way home lol.... just devine authentic Indian sweets, pastries, breads, cakes and the yummist pies. Also love the coconut cookies they make, and chicken samosa. It is clean and staff are happy to help. Would love it if they also did authetic dishes to take away, nothing bests a good curry for dinner !

A great place to get Indian baked goods. I tried their mini butter chicken pies, chilli chicken pies, chicken curry puff, chicken manchurian pies, cakes, slices, biscuits etc and they are all delicious. Very flavourful and tasty food.

Always loved the eggless cakes from here. Also I like the Indian milk bread, cream puffs, patties and biscuits. The quality is definitely good. Staffs are generally good but I had some bad experience dealing with two of the girls last year. But still I go to this shop for my needs.

Been a fan of BnB for a few years but I think, in light of new plastics bags ban, they've got some part of their business strategy out of kilter. Order for about 20 pieces of pies and puffs were about to be packed in individual paper bags. Asked if she could put them in two boxes (separate for veg and non veg), said they will charge $1.50 for each box! I pointed they never did that before; they've changed, she replied! Alternative was to take each pie in its individual paper bag and all of them in larger paper bags, which you still have to buy. I did have my own shipping bags. I agree, they've changed. Lost the plot and my business! But no charge for the cake in its box, which thankfully, are still great!

They have some good snacks and cakes, but curry puffs are a bit costly. Cakes are amazing esp few flavors like cassata is not easily available. But try Cassata And mango flavors of cake.

Love to give 5 stars because the pies are amazing. But had a Frappe yesterday and was the worst I've ever tasted, I don't know what they did but the liquid's separated and also had a yucky yoghurt taste. But will always go back because the pies are the best. ,

A unique bakery with good presentation and selection of freshly baked traditional Indian goods. Tried a few different cakes (including the eggless) which were well balanced with flavour. Could improve on customer service though.

He even took effort to call me back after the working hours for business and made sure my order is ready on time.. Bake and beans makes some unique pies However sometimes not always but sometimes you'll end up having leftover pies from yesterday which are as cold as a fish and don't taste the best.... The coffee is good however I feel it's a bit overpriced Apart from that it's a good place for a quick snack or lunch

Love the Indianised Bakery concept, Great food and excellent vegetarian choices as well. Side note for owners: It took me a while to find your place. Having looked at every shop in the Richardson Road & Dominion Road roundabout to find your place. When you look at the place at first you would think it is a beauty parlour. One of very few in Auckland offering variety of eggless cakes and pastries as well as baked stuff for vegans and vegetarians. Conveniently located over Dominion Road and can be easily spotted on the roadside from a moving vehicle in normal traffic. Easily accessible. Well managed, organised and nicely maintained. Good ambiance and cosy atmosphere. Plentiful food options including many vegan and vegetarian ones. Preparations are delicious and well presented. Recently a cafe has started operating in-house for beverage needs. Friendly service although there is scope for improvement in efficiency. Limited standing area with no seating for customers. PayWave facility is not available at this location. Good for quick visits. Ample shared parking space. Wheelchair parking is available and there is wheelchair accessible entrance. ...................................... (02/09/2012) Being a pure vegetarian, you don't find many bakeries in Auckland, in fact none other than Bake & Beans where you can get bakery items without egg (specially cakes and patties).
