When you're in another country and find out no one got your Mum a birthday cake, and the time zones mean you missed the next day delivery cut-off and would have to wait all weekend to cheer her up... but CITY CAKE TO THE RESCUE! Thank you for rush delivering a cake out Friday morning to save the day! And speaking from experience, and our recipients reviews, their chocolate mousse cakes are heavenly rich and luscious. Thank you!

I can't recommend this mother and daughter team highly enough. Everything we have tried from cakes to biscuits and other sweet treats are always lovely. The service is also great so the whole experience is one worth recommending. P.S. the banana cake is ooooh so good!

A big THANK YOU to City Cake Company Mt Eden Village for this most beautiful & delicious Art Deco Chocolate birthday cake. Not too sweet and lovely texture. The decorations were visually perfect. I was also very impressed with the personalized service -which is quite rare these days -like stepping back in time to a nicer era. It was a pleasurable experience tasting the sample choices to find just the right cake for my son's 44th birthday which is the same date as his Grandmother who turned 95 on June 21st.

The most amazing delicious cakes!!! My favs are the banana caramel and the lemon syrup cakes :) wouldn’t go anywhere else! And lovely people!

Stopped in to pick up a chocolate orange tart and chocolate ganache cupcake to try. The cupcake was flawless - moist, chocolatey and not over sweet. The tart was also perfect with the right amount of crunch in the crust, velvety smooth filling and clean flavours. It was almost a little too sweet, but this is not a criticism so much as a warning to eat from here in moderation!

Mousse cakes are always so good!

We had a need last week to arrange a gift for one of our clients, we are an Irish company and this needed to be done at short notice. Even though we are on the other side the world the team at City Cake company were amazing to deal with. We ordered a lot later than the cut off and added a short note asking for help, amazingly the team had our gift delivered before 11.30 the next morning. Would highly recommend, our clients loved the gift!

We have been ordering from City Cake for years now. Despite never having met, Tracy is always so accommodating and amazing even during this busy holiday period. I’m sure I changed our order at least three times but her reply was always the same “no problem. All done!”. When we gift these cakes to clients we get nothing but positive feedback about how moist and yummy the cakes are. Give them a go, you won’t regret it.

We bought a vanilla strawberry buttercream(?) cake. Is it normal for the cream layer in the middle to be almost so thick? The cake is small and it's like a third of it was the really sweet cream...and it isn't fluffy cream. Like i said, it's thick. I mean, it's better if it was strawberry ice cream instead. Idk, because the other reviews are so positive. The actual cake part was average. Not worth $55 🤷🏽‍♀️ Edit: the cream was nice though. We've saved it to eat it with the something else because the cake part we still ate so as not to waste👌🏽 increased to 3 stars.

This place is amazing to deal with. They created a bra cake for us and it was more than we ever expected. Easy to deal with and cake was yum. Couldn’t thank u all enough and will be back to u for sure. The girls from Debs x

Such lovely people to deal with. We have dealt with the City Cake company for many years ordering cakes for our staff with major birthdays or personally for family celebrations. They are genuinely interested in assisting you to get exactly what you want. Super helpful and always pleasant. As for the cakes! Oh my goodness, they stand alone in quality. They are rich, moist and decadent. The top feedback from staff is that they love the Chocolate with the Belgium frosting but the Banana with caramel is also a hard one to beat. If you have a special occasion, you can't go past these cakes. We have never been disappointed.

Was served by a lovely, friendly, helpful lady. Helped me pick out a beautiful cake and boy, was it delicious! Really not badly priced! A lot better than the likes of the cheesecake shop. Thanks again! I will be back!!

City Cake company was amazing to deal with. I ordered a "one off" celebration cake for my daughter's 30th birthday. I had emailed 5 different cake companies in Auckland and City Cake and only one other replied. I am so happy I chose City Cake Company. Tracy was very prompt and clear in her emails. The cake itself was exquisitely decorated and the flavour of the cake was delicious. I felt it was very well priced and most definitely was one of the highlights of our birthday dinner. I would not hesitate using this company again. Thank you to you all.

We recently tried a number of the cakes from here and have to say each one was scrumptious! The baked cheesecake and chocolate are definitely the winners. It was possibly the best chocolate cake I've had from a bakery/store. Can't wait to be back in Auckland for more cake!

I ordered 30 cupcakes from Sydney in all flavours for my engagement party. The cupcakes were delicious and Tracy was a pleasure to engage with. She even added cute hearts on top of each cupcake! Thank you for making these cupcakes so special. Highly recommend and the cupcakes are reasonably priced too!

Thanks City Cake Company! I've just eaten the best Carrot cake I've ever had. Wow so good! I feel really lucky that the best cake shop in Auckland is only five minutes from my house. City Cake Company has been our preferred cake supplier for the past 10 years. We have ordered their beautiful cakes on many occasions both personally and for business. We cannot recommend them highly enough and are constantly amazed at their clever innovative designs and the outstanding quality of their cakes. Our favourite would have to be Chocolate Mud Cake and their Afghans are simply divine. We also admire the team at City Cake Company for their constant support of the local community and schools through the years.

Excellent communication and a First Class Birthday Cake. I arranged this for my Daughters 21st birthday from the UK. Ordering was simple with a first class quick response from City Cakes. I would recommend you use this company you won't be dissapointed. The cake was actually less expensive than I had anticipated, although price wasn't an important factor.

I wish I lived in Auckland because City Cake Company would be my "go to" place every day for my sweet treat. Every single purchase or gift from City Cake Company that I have had has been faultless. The ginger loaf, the carrot cake, the gin & lemon cake.....I could go on and on. Why would you bake at home, because all of their ingredients are pure and natural. Nothing artificial in their product. The Christmas Cakes are perfection and recently I was at a wedding in Auckland and the wedding cake from City Cake Company almost stole the show!! Devine.

So cooperative. I live in United states. So I ordered the birthday cake and had it delivered to my loved one who lives in Auckland. I also got great reviews about the cake and they loved it. Prompt delivery. Awesome customer care. I would highly recommend someone to try them out.

We recently arranged my sons 21st birthday from the CCC and it was seriously awesome, we have been using them since the kids where teenagers and I also use them for company birthdays. We have always been impressed by the quality, taste and consistency of what can only be considered the best cakes in Auckland. They totally out did themselves with the 21st cake, which I had to coordinate via email as I was oversees. It was seamless and simple to do, they sent me options and I was able to send a jpeg of the picture. all I had to do was turn up on the day and pick it up......well done City Cake Company for another awesome experience.

Repeat customer. The website reliably shows the big range and makes ordering easy. Fast confirmations. A visit to the shop is pleasant, too, and of course there is the yummy tasting. Quality cakes, choice, excellent follow up and orders ready on time and presented well. 'The icing on our cake' for our celebrations.

As soon as we got in the colourful cakes, macaroons, petit fours caught out attention. Prices were pretty decent. We tried the caramel and pistachio macaroons which were $2.5 each and felt they were decently priced. I found the designer cakes to be a bit too highly priced, but i think that is the general price around nz.

Sent enquiry by email online and was answered straight away when phoning to complete order the ladies in shop where really helpful and gave me ideas on how I could make cake look special for my parent 50th anniversary the cake was delivered by a special courier and arrived in perfect condition and looked better than I could have imagined. My parents where absolutely delighted and it tasted as good as it looked. The cake really made my parents day special thanks

We bought the passion fruit cheesecake. The cake was scrumptious. Could not have asked for a better cake. Drawback? Cost. For the price we paid, the cake was too small. Or you can say for the size, the cost was too much. LOWER DOWN THE PRICE, KEEP THE TASTE!

Hi Tracy I cannot thank you and your wonderful team enough for the outstanding Unicorn cake you made for my daughters 6th birthday! We had dinner in a packed restaurant so when the cake was bought to our table EVERYONE stopped eating and stared as the Unicorn horn stood to attention atop the most spectacular cake anyone had seen. To top it off, when the cake was sliced open to reveal the layers of heavenly chocolate and butter cream (I believe there were 6!) my daughter started jigging around in her seat and squealed with excitement! This cake delivered everything I wanted and more, but most importantly it truly made my daughters wish for a Unicorn cake come true in the most memorable way. Must pop off to the fridge and grab a piece now...🦄

Firstly, very professional company, top communication, beautiful looking cake, very impressed with decoration! A little glitch in their kitchen meant the cake was not up to scratch but this was rectified as soon as they knew by means of another cake at no charge! Thank you for everything, will use you again for our next childs 21st!

These people are soo helpful. I needed a cake urgently and they absolutely went out of their way to help me and custom put together a cake with fresh flowers that I gave them. Fabulous service and I will certainly use them again

City Cake did a delicious lemon cake over the weekend and the owner personally delivered it with a free bag of fudge which I thought was a nice extra touch
