Besides the infamous die die must try pork belly pie, their dessert (eg: cheesecake, carrot cake...) is also very nice, if you went to their shop and the pork belly pie has run out for the day (which they oftenly are), you can try out their dessert. Yum =)

The owners of this cafe are beautiful people. I bought a coffee from them and the owner gave me free bread. He said because they were closing at 3 on Saturday. But too me it was such a sweet gesture. Great service from owners. Their sour dough baguette which I got for free was yummy with poached eggs for dinner. Thank you for my free bread. I'll definitely be trying out the rest of your food..

Best veggie pie I've ever had, plus everything else is just delicious and so well made. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a top notch pie and the usual bakery staples (the cream donut is also very yum)

One of my favorite bakeries in Auckland. Discovered it a year ago by it's award winning pork belly pie. The owner was super friendly and hospitable when we arrived. The pies were delish and coffee was amazing. Needless to say we put Ed's as one of the first stop on out itinerary this year. Everything is still as good as I remember it!

Did try their five spice pork belly(which is gold award 2018), mince and cheese, steak and cheese. SUPER delicious!!!Ever better than the others pies I tried in south island. Especially I like their crunchy, golden crust and tasty fillings combination. Their coffee and cakes are also good. Good place to have an awesome afternoon tea.

Best pie I have ever eaten, I am a regular contributor and almost always take a photo but I just couldn't stop eating it for long enough to do so. I wanted to try their award winning pie however that was already sold out so I settled to order the 5 spice pork belly pie, the flavour was out of this world and the pastry was perfection with being flaky but holding together the contents of the pie perfectly..... the staff are very friendly. Cannot wait to go back and try other pies and foods.

I had the best vegetable pie I have ever tasted yesterday. Just about went and got another. BUT thought the wife would go mad at me if I couldn't eat my tea. Great staff and friendly. Definitely going back when I'm in the area. My mouth was just drulling at the food.

This has to be my favorite bakery in all of NZ! They have a wide variety of tasty treats and mouth-watering pastries. This combined with great coffee and super friendly staff, what more can you ask for?

Love the pies, cheesecakes and carrot cakes. Ed' s personal touch; good service and treats of gluten biscuits (complimentary) served with coffee. Yummy. Great way to warm up for winter.

I am really addicted to all the pie here! DELISIOUS! My favourite pie is the “Five spice pork belly”. The price is reasonable but the taste perfectly goes beyond the price. The best pie defined by the crusts, the pie crust here is not that thick, taste like building up with lots of layers which doesnt make you feels like eating thick flour. The fillings is satisfying with well~cooked meat! There are also other wonderful filling which really stimulate my saliva like “mince and cheese” and “steak and cheese”. Do not wait! Come and try! ❤️

The food is always excellent. I think Ed does the best filling of any pie in Auckland. His chocolate cake is the best chocolate cake in Auckland. The service is always friendly, the coffee great, great food, easy parking, whats not to like? Well done Ed, I do like how the girls now do the jam in the shape of a heart in that jam sweet treat

The best pastry shop and the best pastry chef in Auckland if not the best nz wide. Can't fault any of his food, that is made with overwhelming creativeness and passion for food. I have visited this shop on multiple occasions for the past 4 years and have never felt any change to the taste of his food. Food is always fresh and tasty with fresh ingredients, made with passion and love. I have recommended him to all my friends and thought that he deserves to be tried by all aucklanders. And by the way not to forget to respond to apple wang who left a negative feedback I just want to tell him that his review does not make any sense and from reading it I felt he just wanted to put ed's shop down unjustly.

What a gem! As a tourist to the city, I am so glad that Ed’s friend referred us here. Their scones are to die for, alongside their filling meat pies and cookies. You can really see the love and attention to detail Ed puts in all of his work. It is a must visit every time I am in Auckland.

Fabulous customer service. Lovely sandwiches and scones etc. Fabulous tea. They need to be in a different area. He is a Highly Decorated Patisserie Chef, who has worked in High Class Hotels overseas. Excellent place to visit.

This is my favourite little cafe, I always visit when in the area. I can never resist the carrot cake, although I am occasionally tempted by the other sweet delights. I have also found Ed's pies to be delicious and sandwiches tasty.

As a vegetarian who doesnt eat garlic and onion, I always struggle to find hot and delicious breakfast with a reasonable price, Ed's cafe provides the best vegetarian pies(garlic and onion free) I have ever had, and its hot, I can finally say goodbye to cold egg sandwiches ~

I made an emergency call to sort the wife's 40th birthday chocolate truffle cake. Rang that morning, ready by 12pm. Delicious. I went for broke and added a lamb beef curry pie with peas. Outta this world. A little pricey but these guys make everything in house from scratch. They're the real deal.

Great customer service. Top Baker with 'fancy' foods for sale. A quiet, 'out of the way' shop, only one block from nearby Sylvia Park ) for a relaxing drink and bite.

Ed does a wonderful coffee and his sweet treats are delicious but my favourite thing to eat here are his pies. They are AMAZING!

Great food but a bit on the expensive side it's set out like a bakery but it has cafe priced food in it if you take that into consideration it's actually quite good but if you go into it expecting a bakery you'll be quite surprised when things like pies are $5 etc but when it comes to the food no complaints what so ever on the topic of pies I've spent the last 5 + years looking for a really good potato top pie this is not one of those places so if you're looking for a potato top pie try somewhere else

If you want awesome cakes and pies,this is the place.I drive all over Auckland and this place is up there with Herne Bay Bakery.Ed's pies are made with a real nice pastry that crumbles as you bite into them.Top it of with a blueberry muffin with white chocolate.The staff are very friendly and polite.i have been going there for last 4 years and never had any issues.It is a little dearer than some other places,but you expect this with high quality bakes.You can tell they make their bakes with passion. 10/10

Enjoyed the pork belly pie. You definitely wont be able to find this flavour elsewhere. Unique and good point of difference. Yum yum!

Very friendly owner who mentioned that they only open half days on Sundays, We picked up some pies and coffee and sat with the kids at the panmure basin to enjoy the afternoon sun.

The best food around, I recommend to ANYONE to go n try it, everything is so good, specially those pies, Mince and cheese and pepper steak are my favorites!!! And the soup r so GOOOD ( Creamy Cauliflower soup) If they were in the pie competition, they would have been the best pie in NZ, all the cakes they make are brilliant, anything idea you have Eds can create it no doubt!! and don't forget about the friendly service, they always make your day better, not like other places that i have been too, so thank you Ed and the Ed's team :)
