M.Pleasantly surprised by the hefty vegetarian pie. Bought cold to heat up at home, it was creamy with a good mix of veges. The pastry was great too. The famed steak and cheese had a nice, rich gravy with good chunks of meat and the right amount of cheese for my preference (my partner would've preferred more). Keen to try other flavours now!
T.I got there bronze winning bacon & egg. However I wish that bakeries would write "Bacon, Egg & Cheese" than I'd know not to buy it. Overall some parts were delicious but I won't be going back any time soon 🙂
K.Went to get a steak and cheese pie, was a little more jelly like than I'd like but the meat was so tender, the flavor was lovely and the pastry was crispy and buttery. My partner got a pork belly pie which was better he thinks.
E.Not "The Best" pie I've ever eaten, however a solid 9/10 for the Steak and Cheese.
S.Definitely killing it with the pies & deserve their pie awards 🥧 I don't find too much else very flash though. They do have great morning glory muffins, and they are friendly, and for the pies and muffin alone, my family agrees on 5 starts 😀 *Note to owners - custard squares wrapped in glad wrap is just wrong, and ruins the slice 😫

People lost taste or what? It has so much gravy and rarely any meat. Even the steak it had too much skin
The pastry was nice but otherwise it was fulled with gravy to a point its falling out
More gravy less ingredients

D.Down right the best pies around. Made in store with quality products. Def a fan place for the kids with treats. Pricing is very fair in today's market
M.Quality had always been very high. I have a feeling theyve kept their prices the same while all the normal bakeries have gone up during lockdown which makes this place just flat out better now.
L.Ive been here quite many times bt have nt posted a review. Bt each time ive ben there they always have something amazing to try. I picked a few veg stuff like cheese bread, quiche, veg pie and all were yum. I like their pies coz it does nt have that broth kind of a taste.
Their non veg and meat pies and desserts are all worth a try as well
O.Probably one of if not the best Mince and Cheese Pies I have eaten. Great cheese to mice ratio, patry was amazing and the team were great. Only downside was no Coke beverages were offered in store and had to walk to shop near by.

j.Great pies! They may not look fancy but the meat is so perfectly tender and tasty. Worth the 40 mins drive each way to taste them
W.We tried the steak and cheese pie which is the gold award winning pie for 2021. The pastry is nice and the filling has decent amount of meat and gravy. But personally the taste is just ok for me. Overall still good.

S.Best steak & cheese pie for sure! Winner of 2021 awards and rightly so. Didn't really like the small sausage roll though as was too much like a bread filling rather than sausage. Definitely get a pie from here again though.

J.Amazing pies! Went there almost every day for 2 weeks when staying in Torbay. They are all good but the potato topped, slow cooked beef brisket and slow cooked lamb were my favourites.

Well Patrick's Pies in Tauranga and Richoux Bakery in Ellerslie are the real Pie and way better. But it was a nice Pie ,Over priced.

F.The King of Pies. The mince and cheese and steak with cheese were hot and delicious. Pastry is flaky and crispy on top. While the filling had a tasty meaty gravy and the cheese was visible and oozy.
Well worth a visit.

A.Website stated 5pm close today and everyday... called ahead at 3.56 as we live far to hear they close at 4.30🤔🤔... but theyl stay and wait for us... upon arrival at 4.40 ordered 9 pies(big family trip) and a small drink at $62... young girl at counter said there is no cheese in bacon and egg pies...but there is😠😠..she could also do with a smile and not to rush us while packing ALL pies in a small tight plastic bag with potatoe top pie in the middle🙄🙄

G.Torbay is blessed with three very good bakeries. This one has the distinction of winning several pie awards, not willing to try in the middle of summer, the counter food on display is good as was the coffee. Nice view of the gulf when sitting outside.
