D.as a regular customer, this place is well known around the community as the best cream donuts. Not only do they have incredible donuts, they have amazing pies including their butter chicken, potato top and steak and cheese are in popular demand. Owners of the bakery are also very kind and can sometimes give you a treat. All of their food is homemade which is even better. Thanks to one of their owners jimmy. From Atelea :)
K.Been visiting a few years now so thought I should review. Lamington, custard twist, apple cream donut... delicious. They recently (a few months ago now) introduced an updated vegetable pie. It is delicious. Oodles of packed vege variety in a white sauce, with great pastry. I have eaten (too?) many. Lovely folks too.

R.A great selection of Lunch Bar hot foods like Pies, Sausage Rolls , Chicken Kebabs . Huge range of sandwiches, rolls and cakes. Literally tradies standing inside her almost all day . Reasonable prices and excellent quality 👌 Service is prompt and to the point. The pies particularly are scrumptious and yummy. Best Lunchbar with best prices in the area .
P.Well, to start off, the Herne Bay Bakery is a fine dining experience with no big price tag. I see builders and workmen lining up each day! That tells you that they make a good pie! Best filled rolls and pies in town. Don't get me started on their dessert selection! My my. The club sandwiches are to die for. Overall, I would recommend to a pal. It's in a lovely area and has delicious food. Kind and sociable servers. Thanks, and have a good one folks.

L.Best grab and go sandwiches in Auckland! Made with bread they've baked, nice thick, soft slices and fresh fresh fresh ! Awesome selection - good honest fillings like corned beef and piccalilli, roast beef and chutney, ham and egg, smoked fish and pork and egg. Also best lamingtons in Auckland and they've got a generous serving of fresh cream with them. Great place for sausage rolls and pies too - they even do chicken and Camembert pies - yum!
c.Always provides the most loveliest service, always has the best food every day and the shop is always clean and tidy. Did I say best food!!
