A.We have been going to this bakery since the 90s, always for the pork buns & sugar donuts. Scrumptious, fast food to settle the tummy. Now our kids are grown & they also get the pork buns & cheese bacon savoury fingers. They sell out fast, coz they always cook hot & fresh.
R.Hands down one of the best bakeries in Auckland. The pork buns are a good mix of savory and sweet. The pies are a good flaky pastry with plenty of filling. A truly good meat pie worthy of a cold winter day.
B.Lots of lovely baking choices. The pork bun is an all time favorite but I can't help thinking that the quality is not as good as it used to be.
H.Love this bakery, especially their apple and sultana buns and the coconut buns. Pity, I live in Takanini cos it's waayyy over at Mangere Bridge.

J.Grew up in the area and this was the place to go for probably the best mince pie. Popped in today after a few years absence and their mince pies are no longer as tasty or as appealing as they used to be. Although the pie pastry was a good thickness, the pastry top was irregularly trimmed and hadn’t adhered to the bottom shell so the filling had oozed out. The filling itself was unusually bland, pale and had gobs of thickening in it. Quite disappointing. However, the coconut scroll and HK savoury bread were good. The bakery is an institution in Mangere Bridge and famous for their roast pork buns so you should give it a go if you are in the area. Staff there are friendly and efficient and the queues move quite quickly during lunchtime hours.

G.It's Ok, but it's definitely not my favorite. I'm not saying to avoid it, it's really only the pies that aren't good. Soon after I ate my pie , I began to feel very sick . Other than that it it's perfectly fine for an enjoyable lunch stop 😁 .

D.Older generation use to make beautiful pies the pastry was always flakey and they had a lovely flavour standard have dropped a little but love their cream doughnuts and their pork buns
k.Pork Buns, Sausage Rolls, Pies, Custard Tarts, Cream Buns, Danish Pastry, Apple n Raisins Roll, Banana Roll all still the same after 40+ years. Still delicious, the same size and the same quality and fresh that you can smell the lovely aroma before getting to the door.

J.In the early 80s I worked down the road at Blackbridge Tavern on my breaks I frequently went to the bakery solely for there "Roast Pork Buns" exclusive only to this bakery
I was in Auckland overnight recently and had to detour to see if the bakery was still there and YUSSSS!!! it was I think the bakery looked different BUT!! the "Roast Pork Buns" were still there "amazing"!!!!! Wow they still taste the same as way back then I brought what was left and I was happy good on you Hong Kong Bakery, till I return!!!!!
A.World famous in Mangere Bridge. All other bakeries are just pretenders. Give me a chicken chopsuey pie,cream bun and a Hong Kong savoury all day. Hell throw in a Danish while you're at it!!! Still family owned and run!
