So good!!! I wish I live near here :) my favorite things are Strawberry Tart, Canneles, Jambon-beurre, Baguette. My weekend routine for now❣
E.
Love the croissant here ..so crispy and yum..will go back for more. The price is reasonbly great compare with other pastry places
O.
Great French bakery, so delicious 😋. But almost empty in the afternoon, should bake more
H.
Really good Croissant, Cannele !!
Yummy yummy
H.
Paid a visit to this bakery just recently even though it’s in my neighbourhood. Judging from the queue in front of the shop every morning, I could tell they sell some decent stuff. Had the almond croissant and it was really nice. Cheaper than the one I normally get from other bakeries/cafes but the quality is definitely comparable. Would return to try other baked goods.
K.
Great coffee and macaroon. Tried all the flavors of the macaroons and the lemon was the best because I can taste 'em haha. It'll be nicer if you put more flavour in them(personal opinion).
A.
Always delicious. My go-to choice is the plated bacon roll (can't remember the name). Buy it every time! Coffee is always delicious too.
R.
Best apricot pastries in town! As well as everything else they do 🇨🇵
J.
Best bakery in the city, great spot to get breakfast/lunch and then pop down to the park down Foch Ave.
A.
Food selection of pastries 🍰 and breads 🍞 . You have to get in quick as the sell out fast.
V.
A great community bakery, for me when it comes to French style bakeries you can’t go pass the croissant for first impressions, while that falls short of the mark but the rest of the offerings are much better.
H.
No words about this place. all bakeries are delightfully beautiful and their croissant is the best in town! Highly recommended!

You can always count on here to buy the best baguette. Reasonably priced sweet baked stuff too.
C.
Beautiful French bakery and great coffee too, always pop in when in area
E.
My fav real French bakery in New Zealand, always fresh pastries and baguettes
D.
You can always count on here to buy the best baguette. Reasonably priced sweet baked stuff too.
A.
Even in french community this bakery is high regarded, for us it's weekend treat after busy week, best to visit during weekdays to try out all varietie as early birds tend to nab most of the goodies on weekends.
A.
Food selection of pastries 🍰 and breads 🍞 . You have to get in quick as the sell out fast.
T.
The best French bakery in Auckland- once you know about this place look out your waistline will grow! Best thing is their perfect baguette crunchy on the outside chewy in the middle taste is incredible
N.
My timing seems to be off and once more I've managed to miss out on the elusive almond croissant. Once I got over my disappointment, I thought the only right thing to do was to scoff a pain au chocolat and a cinnamon brioche. Both were very airy, light, packed with flavour, and delicious. A very happy customer! Still want my almond croissant, though...
M.
Best French bakery in Auckland based on quality. I come here religiously every weekend. Great bread, croissants, sandwiches and coffee and friendly staff. Prices also being low make this place unskippable.
K.

Awesome place 😋😋😋😋😍😍😍😍😍
H.
The barista on Saturdays makes best coffee. I will not have coffee anywhere else now. The tasty French baguettes, breads, croissants especially almond croissants, macaroons, etc are just amazing. The best French bakery in Auckland. Get there early to avoid appointment.
L.
Amazing breads and sandwiches. Really European quality.
B.
Love the authentic French bakery sold here! Highly recommended to all get a real taste of French pies and tarts! It is always clean and they deliver excellent customer service!
J.
One of our go to on sundays. Coffee is great. Pastries are magnificent. Highly recommended. Its always busy but worth the wait.
J.
Visit there if want the best bakery. Better hurry otherwise miss out.
신.
This is the only place my husband has ever desired bread for breakfast in his life! So goooooood, there is no where else to compare with here. I wish I would live the nextdoor, so I can just stop by walking in every morning.
V.
The best bakery in Auckland. I love it! It makes my day a good day to have one of their croissants for breakfast.
T.
Just amazing. Best French bread in Auckland. Everything is great. The standard loaves are good. The sweets are pretty great. The cabinet sandwiches are amazing and my favourite. A must.
T.
The pastries were so delicious! I FORGOT TO TAKE PICS!!!!!! NEXT TIME!
T.
This place is awesome, I come around once a month because if I came more, it would be dangerous! Bread is next level (best I’ve found in Auckland!). Keep up the great work!
B.
Approved by French people! Probably the only French approved baguettes here in Auckland. Reasonable price, good ranges to choose from. The location is not so handy but I still drive all the way to grab their breads in the morning. Always fresh and delicious!
Y.
First time here, had very good pastry but unfortunately horrible service. Staff seemed so impatient and just wanted to finish work. We arrived 40 mins before closing time and we asked whether the coffee machine is still open, the staff said “kind of”. Such nice bakery deserves better service.
B.
FAntastic as always...fresh warm tasty breads.. sandwich.. pastry
M.
Délicieux. Amazingly fresh and what a spread of sweet and savory options they have. Was only in the Auckland area for three days but went here twice and stocked up for my road trip down South. Apart from the quality of the bakery, the staff were all so friendly and offered quick service. Would highly recommend to all.
E.
The most unforgettable, mouthwatering, and great tasty French baguettes, bread, maccarone, etc. Once you taste, you will definitely come back again and again. The best French bakery in Auckland♥
R.
It's good to get in early for the fresh baked taste in the mornings. I couldn't ask for a better location to come & started my morning with coffee or a hot bun or fresh bread. I recommend to try it.
J.
Wow - what a lucky find! Love this place. Think it's going to be our new local. This French Cafe-Bakery is to die for, takes me back to when we were in Paris a few years ago. Ever so fresh n tasty. Just leaves you wanting more... we will of course be back for more another day ❤ 🇨🇵
L.
The price is reasonable. And the bread is great!
K.
Consistently great!
Their pastries are to die for, their baguette is the best in Auckland (you heard that right!).
D.
Best French bakery in Auckland according to our French au pair! There's no point commenting on any particular product because they are all amazing to eat!
C.
If you haven't already you must try out their pain au chocolat. It's light, fluffy and great with a Kokako coffee 💯👍
Z.
Is generally really delicious, however I recently noticed the confusing addition of hazelnuts which were chewy and stodgy to my favourite savoury croissants. Otherwise keep up the great work
M.
Delicious macaroon and lemon loaf. Their croissant also very crunchy on the outside but still soft inside! Recommended
A.
Great local french bakery. The staff members are friendly, and their breads are made fresh and with love. Definitely much better than any other bakeries in Auckland. The downside, the parking spots are very limited, and if you're living in the city, it's quite a long drive. The new renovation makes it look much better; though the 2 counters, one at each corner of the store feels a bit confusing, at least now the queue line is more obvious.
F.
My favourite French bakery in Auckland! So authentic and enticing with their amazing assortment of baked goodies. The coffee is also exceptional...well worth a trip to, and a real gem in the Mt Roskill area. You won't be disappointed.
D.
Simply Auckland's best French bakery. The bread is baked fresh every day and is by far the best in the city. Their sandwiches cakes and pastries are worth driving half way across the city and waiting in an ever forming queue for. The french speaking staff are lovely and always helpful. The problem I have is that everybody else in the city loves this place too and by lunchtime there is almost nothing left!
L.
Every time we travel to Auckland we go to this lovely place to buy macaroons and Palmier. Ladies are nice and the coffee is great
G.
Possibly the best French bakery in NZ. Definitely the best I've ever been to. If you don't go early you will miss out on the best goods, as they constantly have long line ups. Also keep in mind it's not a sit down place.
J.
Best French bakery in town and definitely a-must-go! Great quality breads and ranges.
M.
We went there looking for plain croissants but there was none, unfortunately. However, we bought a baguette and a palmier which where superb. Highly recommended.
H.
Visited here after reading some reviews, well worth the visit. The coffee was well above average, the food was well priced and of a high standard, but the selection was running quite slim by 1045 am. Which shows its popularity. Very clean premises and friendly staff. 6 seats outside, but no tables & no seating or tables inside. I would go there again and would drive 10 minutes out of my way.
L.
Best french style bakery. Finally I found a place where to buy amazing croissant and many other amazing things. The coffee is not as good as the croissant but is not bad. The attention is good, fast and friendly.
M.
Things you really need to try when over there: macarons, bread and baguette, canneles and in the croissant corner, I really enjoyed the praline one. Everything is lovely over there and the difficulty lies in choosing. I wish they had more extensive hours though.
L.
Honestly don't know how I've gone so long without knowing this place. We bought random counter items there and Every Single Thing was delicious and SUPER reasonably priced. I mean, $2 macarons that are actually huge? Yes, please! We totally forgot to buy regular bread, but they looked fantastic and everyone else was walking out with loads of it.
R.
Probably the best French Bakery in Auckland. Regularly queues of customers. Everything sells so quickly luckily the seem to bake 2 or 3 batches. Really great people.
J.
Best eclairs and very yummy sandwiches.
N.
One of Auckland's best bakeries, capable of rivaling even Paris's best. La Voie Francaise is a little slice of France in New Zealand, owned and run by a French-trained master pastry chef with Japanese heritage and a dedication to his craft like few others.
Judging by the amount of French imports who frequent the bakery, not to mention the constant stream of customers and the amazing aroma of freshly baked delights, this is a very authentic, well operated and exceptional quality place. The only bad thing about this bakery is trying to stop yourself from walking out with one of everything. Bye bye waistline, but who gives a baguette when the food tastes this good, right?
J.
Really delightful French pastries and bread - the croissants are particularly flaky and delicious!
A.
Best pain au chocolat and croissant I've had to date in Auckland. Their baguette was also nicely done and traditional. There was a queue when I showed up on Sunday AM, so be prepared to wait a bit. Service was in French which was heartening and many other French people in line, a good sign of quality.
A.
Not one to write reviews but have been going for the past 5 years and the quality has never changed. Sells out by midday, no cap best bakery.
L.
Delightful bakery, food was so delicious we came back the following day. Definitely recommend
Z.
Coffee is great. The boulangerie has lots on offer - breads, pastries and tarts. Its always busy so be patient but worth it, and the staff are friendly.
L.
Nice food and good price.
Had a pain au chocolat ($3), jambon fromage sandwich($5). It was same as being back in france.
The baguette was a little too crispy for my personal taste but in no mean over cooked. The pain au chocolat was very light, and just came out of the oven. It was perfect. Will go back.
No credit card. Efpost or cash only.
W.
Omg.. the bakery is heavenly.. whatever you choose taste lovely.
Pretty disappointed with the coffee though. Better get somewhere else.
L.
Delicious reasonably priced food. Breakfast bap is really good, my kids love the epi (bacon bread) and cabanos (sausage bread in a circle shape). Good prices for coffee and I just saw they have iced coffee with gelato for summer.... 😍 literally the only downside of this place is that they always seem to sell out so quickly, you need to be there at 10am or 11am latest for all the good suff. So lucky to have this place in our neighborhood!
R.
I still think this place has the best baguettes in Auckland, soft on the inside, crispy on the outside. The queues out thre door during the morning rush at weekends suggest I am not alone
M.
Really nice baking, the croissant pastry is very authentic! Not enough chocolate in the pain au chocolat though.
F.
Truly authentic boulangerie fare. The quality is easily amongst the best bakeries in Auckland while remaining relatively affordable. The kokako coffee is a great touch.
C.
This is the best French bakery I've been to outside of France. There are always queues.
S.
Nothing beats a perfectly made canele. The best. Makes me think other "French" bakeries should take their caneles off the menu.
S.
Oh wow what an array of delicious french pastries, baguettes, croissants sweet, savoury or buttery plain, madelines, macaroons. If you are gluten free then this is not the place for you. You can pay by Cash or EFTPOS. No Credit Card
C.
Favourite bakery with tasty fresh sandwiches. Great value and quality
R.
This is our FAVOURITE French bakery in Auckland, despite being a 20 minute drive from our house. We go here almost every weekend if we're in Auckland. Don't hesitate to try it. And don't be put off if there's a small queue in the mornings. It's well worth the wait. We always get a pain de compagne and a baguette plus have also tried the croissant, pain au chocolat and almond croissant. It's all superb.
C.
Great coffee. The baguettes and croissants are decent. They're usually busy and expect a bit of a wait. Overall great place to check out on a Sunday morning.
D.
Nice food. Not great coffee but all good priced. The only down side is that there is no place to eat. All is take away.
D.
Probably one of the best French bakeries around in Auckland. The head baker is a Japanese guy who worked under some of the best bakeries in France, and has decided to bless Auckland with some of the best bakery goodness France has to offer.
What to try when you come here:
- Baguette; crispy on the outside and very moist, chewy on the inside with the right amount of flavour any baguette should have.
- Epi; baguette bread baked with bacon in the middle, this will satisfy anyone with a savoury/salty craving
- Baguette fromage; small baguette bred with peppery cheese goodness in the middle, enough said.
- Apricot danish, pain au chocolat, eclairs and so many more sweets are incredibly delicious.
A.
Excellent coffee, bakery products are French-inspired and we'll above average. Try a Brioche loaf and make a delicious breakfast at home (that's what I like to do).
C.
Such an awesome little bakery and friendly staff! Came by on a Sunday morning around 11am and you can just see the amount of people walking in to get some fresh goods!
Q.
I'm french, relatively well travelled and pastry lover, and this is probably the best bakery i've been to. I moved back to europe a year ago and i miss this place a lot ! I did a cycling trip in brittany looking for the best kouign amann(pastry from brittany) i could find, and after trying one from la voie francaise there was no point! the pain au chocolat with almonds and raspberry coulis on it would be my choice as a last meal.
m.
The best bakery! Amazing quality and affordable prices .
S.
Best bakery in town. Get in early, the queues get huge. Would be good if they sort out the ordering process. They could handle more customers if they streamlined things at the counter
d.
id hate to let more people know this place,as i prefer to keep this to myself.Their tuna sandwich is superb! make sure go early in the morning, limited quantity sales really fast.normally gone before noon.
J.
Food is really good! The only reason why I don’t give 5 stars is because sometimes pastries are way toooo sweet
D.
Knew this place from its small begings
Super glad that it is now booming especially morning and weekend
Ohh la la staff are so pleasant and it would be a good idea to show the bakery boys to the customers
Croissants are slightly singed and taste so. zD
Hey but you go and enjoy
W.
Fabulous bread and special bakery items, one of our favourites.
D.
Good and not too expensive croissants and pains aux chocolats . The bred is good as well . A smile on the cashier's face would be great !
S.
Found a hair in one of the Macarons, which is disappointing, as the Macarons were decent and the coffee was quite nice.
D.
The best coffee , creamy ..just perfect. The menu could change time to time but so far im happy with their variety. Reasonably price for such a quality. Thumbs up.
E.
Hooked as soon as I had a baguette, eclair, and croque monsieur; came back as soon as I could for more. I also could not believe the value for money. I want their eclairs every day, but sadly I live in Australia T_T
B.
Very nice French pastries and bread. A good assortment of sandwiches and cakes. All with the French touch.
C.
The best bakery in Auckland.
P.
Great coffee and friendly staff.
The breads and pastries are Awesome.
W.
By far, one of the best boulangerie in Auckland comparable to excellent shops in Tokyo. The queue on weekends speaks for itself.
C.
Never disappoints always proper baked French bread and pastries. Coffee is great also
D.
Great little bakery which offers plenty of breads and treats! Do try here if you are around the area. I would recommend the breakfast sandwich!
A.
Very helpful staff, beautiful food good priced. Needs more savory options and more cakes slices options during the week days.
S.
Incredible selection of pastries and sandwiches. Everything is so fresh and delicious, it’s hard to decide what to get!
B.
High quality, delicious products. So lucky to have this bakery in our neighbourhood.
S.
I think this is one of the best selections of pastries available in Auckland. Good quality with a decent price.
M.
Beautiful breads & sweets. Better to visit before 10am, otherwise you may miss some great popular breads.
M.
came here in 2017. i can confidently say i have never tasted a better lemon cake anywhere else. go early to avoid disappointment!
N.
The food and coffee are easily 5/5, but they really need to sort out their queuing system. On a busy weekend morning the place is hectic.
H.
Have just found probably one of the best bakeries in Auckland. Plus exceptional coffee.
C.
Fantastic breads and sweet delights. Sausage bread is a favourite. Blue cheese walnut a honey is to die for. The olive bread is adjctive lol
