B.Excellent service and amazing company to deal with. We had our wedding reception cake done with The Caker. When compared with other well known cake companies in Auckland they by far were the most reasonably priced and by far had the best tasting cakes. The cake samples were a good size and free!! They had really good communication and the response to my millions of questions were prompt. The wedding cake looked even better than what I expected. They do not deliver but point us in the right direction. Thank you highly recommended.
T.I ordered the blueberry, rhubarb and white chocolate cake for my sister in laws birthday and this recieved rave reviews from all of my family who tasted it. It was utterly delicious - moist, flavourful and packed full of fruit. I highly recommend this store for those who want a cake that tastes as beautiful as it looks. If this hasn't yet convinced you, please know that we cut this '24 serve' cake into 16 'wedges' and the whole lot was demolished by our guests 😂 do yourself a favour and buy one of these beauties asap 😍
M.I was gifted a cake kit and have been hooked ever since. Their cake kits are absolutely amazing and have never failed me. I've tried almost all of their cake kits (haven't tried the new banana one yet).
Recently ordered a black forest cake for a birthday and picked it up from the store. Beautiful cake, was a bit on the dense side but still a fantastic cake. None of the cakes have ever been overly sweet, always balanced just right.
Highly recommend getting their cake kits and trying a few of their cakes. Will definitely be buying more cake kits soon!
Y.The only place I will order cakes from for every single occasion!! Can't rave about The Caker enough - the cakes themselves, the service, the quality ingredients used in each bake. Shoutout to Jenna & Eli (and the rest of the team!) for always taking such great care of us!! Yes you may pay a bit more than other places, but you wouldn't put diesel in a ferrari and so you shouldn't compromise on ingredients you put into your body either.
I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you as well for creating the most delectable Baklava wedding cake for us (and accommodating all the last minute changes brought about by covid). It was so beautifully decorated, a huge hit amongst our guests and catered to everyone's dietary requirements! I look forward to the next family birthday so I can use it as an excuse to try the newest additions to the menu xx
E.Came across The Caker on IG and found their flavours intriguing so I decided to give one of their cakes a go. I have been obsessed ever since! I just knew I had to try all the flavours. Best believe I kept myself busy baking their cake kits through lockdown too. Wasn't good for my waist size but no regrets. Can't express how much I love these guys. J.I ordered the lemon elderflower cake for our wedding. From the very start, Eli answered all my questions and was so helpful. I wanted the cakes to be sliced so it was easy to serve. They prepared the cake slices and the taste was amazing!!! All the guests loved the cake. It had all the flavors I imagined it would have. A.Beautiful cake for my son’s birthday. Price was good. Got the chocolate banana one. Not as sweet as I would like it. But these cakes are way better than super market cakes. I think the texture is great for birthday and wedding cakes. Not like 5 star restaurant dessert cakes. But beats all other kinds of cakes.

E.My wedding cake banquet was absolutely delicious and looked amazing. I didn’t give too much of a brief as to what I wanted because when people who work magic are left to have creative licence over what they do best it is always bound to turn out epic. When I collected the cakes the person at the front desk was so joyful & I was so thrilled with how it looked I don’t know who had the bigger smile! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for adding to our big day in so many ways. Our guests raved about the cakes too.
S.I love love love The Caker. My husband and I order cakes for each other’s birthdays from the Caker. Even our wedding cake was from here. Our guests loved our wedding cake too and so I’ve now ordered the same flavour (flourless chocolate fudge) for my husband’s birthday surprise next week.
I will be honest though, I somewhat agree with the customer who was unhappy with their black forest cake. Mine was too sweet and it was disheartening 2 weeks ago, to see my guests not be able to finish their slice of cake because it was just too sweet. The sponge was amazing, but the frosting and the compote was extra sweet. I hope that my feedback will be considered constructively as black forest is my favourite and The Caker will still continue to be our family go-to for all celebrations! ♥️ Love your talent and passion for cakes.
K.Degustation Cake. Ive been wanting to get one of these very rare delights as The Caker only does them once or twice a year. This time she included archived recipes rather than current. Two of us were tucking into this 10 cake beauty! Half a slice each. We nearly polished off the whole lot!! Favourite was the Cherry Coconut Dark Chocolate.
Can't wait to get the next Degustation cake with the current range. I still haven't tried all of them and this is such a devine way to try more. I LOVE THE CAKER 👏🥰😋

I got the mini version in gluten free for myself. I hope you have this flavour on the menu all the time as I want to order one for my birthday in January! Thank you for making such delicious cakes!
P.OMG ordered a cake from here for my own birthday and it was absolutely DeLish. This lemon and raspberry cake was to die for as it was sooo yummmmmyyy and decorated so gorgeously. I would highly recommend this place and definitely will order from here again to try other flavours.

K.Its pretty dam fabulous! Have ordered a number of times from The Caker and it never disappoints. We could not even tell the difference between the gluten free and non gluten free cakes. So delicious, there was barely any left overs! You won't be disappointed - just remember to go for their decorations though, as it just tops off the look!
R.I ordered a cake for an employee's 60th Birthday and it was the best carrot cake I have ever eaten. It was super moist and melt in your mouth and it also felt light and healthy to eat. Everyone loved the cake and it was definitely the best way to celebrate a milestone birthday and was enough cake for an office of around 100 staff! The cake was supposed to arrive at 9.30am but arrive just after 8.30am which was great! Will definitely be ordering from here again. Simply loved it!

A.Got this cupcake from here last week and it's still on my mind. Every part of the cupcake was placed and made with consideration for how it works together as a whole. There's a chewy rich outside with a deliciously smooth inside that basically melts like mousse in your mouth. The icing was great, not too sweet and I really loved the little crunchy candied bits on the top of the cake. Can't wait to visit again!

L.Ordered the flourless dark chocolate cake with crushed pistachios, dried raspberries and toasted coconut on top. The chocolate cake was incredibly beautiful, rich, smooth, moist, fudgey and most importantly not that sweet. The Caker is my go-to spot to get birthday cakes now.

S.I ordered a Rhubarb Lemon Rose cake for my wife's birthday on Thursday, picked it up on Saturday afternoon and we ate it that night after our dinner out. It was the most delicious cake I think I have ever eaten!! Moist, not too sweet and the flavour was spot on. Everyone in our party had a piece and loved it as much as I did. I included candles and flowers on it and it looked beautiful, such attention to detail. It really was worthy of a 50th Birthday celebration. Eventually I had to find my own cake in their fridge - not very professional at all!

Black Forest double layer cake was OK. It tasted like a brownie and had the consistency of one too, I personally didn’t like the tartness of the cherries and unfortunately the cream cheese icing was not noticeable. The Freeze dry berries were too rubbery.
Although it was beautifully decorated , wonderful staff. I will definitely try something more moist next time with the advice of the The Caker.

K.I found The Caker online when I was searching for Vegan cakes. They popped up immediately and I took great interest in the google previews. Looking through their website, social media pages and their "online store", I immediately fell in love with the style of cakes!
I was nervous since I haven't tried them before, but that changed completely after I went through with my order - Box of 9 of Chocolate and Strawberry Mini Cakes (Vegan)
Checkout through the website was super smooth and easy, the pick ups are scheduled so you see it is quite organized, and I love that they have different options for delivery (different locations) and option for pick up. My payment went through and a receipt was sent straight away.
The location was very easy to find, although it was hard to find parking (as it is in the city I suppose).
I did the pick up 12 pm and had it for dinner around 7 30 pm. It was rich, decadent, moist, and the icing is nicely proportionate to the cake (as advertised!) I will not hesitate to order here again. Outstanding quality for the price paid!

N.Needed a vegan birthday cake at the last minute, Holly and Rohan had it sorted! They had a beautiful dark chocolate and strawberry cake that was moist and fluffy. I couldn't get across town to collect the cake, so Rohan arranged for the cake to be delivered to the restaurant we were heading to for the evening meal!
W.I have only recently experienced The Caker having been bought a cake for my birthday, then one for mothers day, one for my husbands birthday and last week one for my daughters birthday. Each time a different flavor , and they have all been soooo delicious. However, my dream combination was the Almond butter and raspberry !!! A.Disappointed in presentation. It cost 20 extra to get flowers and candles and I got A few roses and some dried pear. Was absolutely not worth the money. It did taste great so this is the only reason I am not asking for a refund.

E.I can't stress enough how splendid the cake and service I received from The Caker was. It was my colleague's birthday and I wanted to do something special for her, so I ordered the cake the day before and asked for it to be delivered at 9am. Other colleagues have ordered from here before and the cake was delivered within the hour - impressive!
It arrived on time and was beautifully presented. Most importantly, it was delicious! The sponge was light and flavourful and scattered with raspberries, layered with immaculately decorated icing with just the right amount of sweetness. S.Always order any cakes I need to buy from The Caker, and they never disappoint. If there is a limited edition flavoured cake on the menu, get it! Just recently ordered another limited edition flavour: Apple, Sage and Strawberry. It was so pretty, it made us all so happy to look at it, and was so delicious. So easy to order online, and The Caker team was prompt with the replies and was so quick and pleasant when I picked it up. Can't rave enough about them.

Disappointed that the website allowed me to book and pay for delivery on a Saturday (which is apparently not something they do), and this was not picked up by anybody until we phoned the shop after waiting over an hour after the scheduled delivery time for our cake. Cake was ubered to us after we followed up, but firstly the website should never have allowed me to do this and secondly shop procedure should have picked this up.

We've recently had the Apple Dulce de Leche cake and it was faultless and memorable. I wish they would make this cake permanent - it was soooo delicious! I was amazed at how well they turned out with no melting despite the warm summer weather. All of the 7 people in our group raved about it and we stretched it out over 3 days and it was still nice and moist. The almond butter was so interesting, gave it a delicious richness but icing wasn't too sweet so you could pig out without feeling sick! I thought the size was generous too- they reccomend 6-8 slices but we got a good 10-12, enough for everyone to have a taste. So divine you can tell it was made with Love!

J.I also found The Caker online as I was searching for a cake to send to my fiancee who is currently studying in New Zealand. I like the variety and the ascetics of the cakes on offer, and the process of ordering was relatively straightforward. The cake was delivered in good time and from what I was told, it looked very good and tasted ok(I have not gotten a detailed review of the taste as yet).
The only reason why I can't give a 5-star rating is because I was very disappointed in the delivery service. I provided a number to call, however the cake was left outside on the porch. My fiancee lives with 3 or 4 other persons and even if they all weren't home, I assumed that they would call the number to ensure that cake was delivered to someone as opposed to being left for ants. Fortunately my fiancee saw the box when she returned home.

C.The cake was delicious but it was slightly disappointing from other caker cakes I have had before. I originally wanted to order the vegan Black Forest cake as I have had it before and it was amazing but unfortunately they do not make that cake anymore. The cake I ordered was the strawberry chocolate cake but it didn’t have much strawberry flavour to it as the strawberries were not evenly distributed throughout the cake, the strawberry icing also was not distributed evenly to and lacked in flavour. Was a beautiful vegan cake but I would give 7/10

Unlike any plant based cake I have had, flavours were spot on and the perfect balance of sweetness, both cakes were moist and light and simply melt in your mouth, frostings were light and creamy with the perfect texture. P.Their cakes are fantastic. We had our wedding cake customized with The Caker in 2017 and recently I bought a Valentines cake for my wife from The Caker too. Beautiful cakes and amazing flavors. One thing to note for buyers is the parking is alittle tricky. I parked at a loading zone to pick up my cake but you might have to drive around abit to find one or pay-to-park nearby. Or get the cake delivered but I am hoping they open a new location.
I.I have ordered a vegan cake from The Caker 2 years in a row now, and I must say, it is absolutely amazing!! The cakes I tired were fresh, delicious and a healthier option compared to dairy filled alternatives. The service I received from The Caker was also wonderful. The cakes are a bit on the expensive side, but totally worth it in my opinion! Definitely a must try for any vegans in Auckland or those just wanting to try something a bit different!

P.Amazing vegan cakes! I have tried three of their cakes now (all vegan) - the dark chocolate cake (also gf), the black forest cake and the plum, hazelnut and dark chocolate cake. All three cakes were 10/10. I have nothing bad to say about them. They are the best cakes I've ever had (even before I was vegan). My favourite of the three is the black forest cake.

I placed my ordered at 6am for delivery at 11am. The delivery was prompt and I must it was impressed for my first time order. I never have tried or ordered any of "the caker" cakes before and nobody suggested that I try. I only ordered because of the delivery as It was a very special occasion and that I wanted to try something new.
First taste was an unexpected experience....i thought it tasted really really good. The mini cakes were definitely one of my top cakes I have ever tried. I will never forget how it made me feel — really satisfied. I will most likely order again and will try other cakes on the menu.
Bottomline: I would recommend ordering, not only for a very special occasion but even for just treating yourself. I highly Recommend pickup instead of delivery. Delivery is recommended if you are pressed for time and if it is a really important event like your partners birthday.

A.Great cake! We got the almond butter and raspberry one and it wasn't overly sweet, which was fantastic. The help on the phone was really good too :) I did however ask for the cake to be delivered by 10am and unfortunately, it arrived 1 hour late. It was a surprise gift for a special occasion, which I wrote in the note, and I paid for the service of having it delivered by 10am (or near 10 would have been ok). Would have been a 5 star if it had arrived on time though !
EDIT: The company's response to this delivery delay was wonderful, and they made it clear it was a one off situation and would not be repeated again.
e.Couldn't recommend these guys more highly - they went above and beyond to ensure the cake looked the way I wanted, and to accomodate a late notice change to when we wanted to collect. Jordan is so sweet and endearing and incredibly devoted to her business and dream, and to top it all off, makes wonderful tasting cakes! My Mother had a fabulous time and had already made a number of cakes out of her book and will be devouring many more I'm sure!
S.I can always rely on these guys for a beautifully presented, delicious cake that gets devoured within minutes at the office (even the fussy eaters)! With a range of gluten free and vegan I never struggle finding a cake to cater for the wide variety of food allergies we have :)
J.I ordered the flour less dark chocolate cake and baked it in a rice cooker. I was a bit concerned that the cake might still be a bit too raw so I gave it an extra 20mins on top of the 40mins in the instructions. It turned out quite dense and well received by my friends. I'm keen to try another flavor, but using a regular oven instead. 😉

L.So I first tasted a cake of theirs when a doctor at work bought one for us (as a token to say thanks etc). I was sold after my first bite 😍 (it was the Black Forrest cake. I then ordered 2 x cakes there the following week, one for a 30th wedding anniversary & another for a hens night. It was SOOOOO GOOOD! I will definitely be ordering from here a lot 😁

P.It would be totally remiss of me not to write a review after the service I had received from The Caker. I was asked on a Tuesday night to organise a cake for a 70th birthday party on the Thursday night of that week!! A quick google search resulted in many suppliers understandably wanting at least 48 hours notice. The Caker popped up as one of the search results and when I had called them first thing on Wednesday morning, the woman who answered was more than willing to help and asked me to place an order immediately online and they'll be able to do it. The online booking process was quick and easy. There were many great selections to choose from (the lemon, almond and raspberry cake was delicious). So thank you to The Caker; wonderful service.
