V.Yum yum yum yum yum! These guys make the BEST macarons that arent overly sweet and are just super delicious! The new location is bigger and definitely easier to find parking at!

My favoured products are the 18 assorted flavoured macarons and 12 assorted flavoured cup cakes.
I’m salivating as I write each delectable morsel is flavoured, created and packaged to perfection.
Once tasted that feel good feeling is satisfied.
Relocated to Williamson Ave Ponsonby an amazingly sophisticated larger space with the most amazing customer service, online ordering available.
Most Definitely “WORTH” the work out later!

I.Love this place! The staff know what real service is and their gluten free cakes not only look amazing but taste even better. Their plum gluten free cake is the best gluten free cake I've ever had - moist, light and very moreish! Don't look any further if you need a cake for a special occasion. And you can get a lovely bouquet to go with it! Perfect.
B.You are able to pick up macarons, cakes or cupcakes from their counter. I walked in and picked a few cupcakes. You are able to order online if you are more organised. The double chocolate cupcake was so rich and tasty. The Matcha one was quite mild though.
A friend gave me some of their macarons. They were really tasty. I liked the chewy texture of the macaron under the crunchy shell. The flavours were all quite interesting. It was nice that the macarons came with a picture card of the flavours so I knew which one I was eating. The earl grey one was surprisingly good.
Edit: They have move from the city into Ponsonby. There are quite a few parking spaces outside the store. The now sell a party pack which has both cupcakes and macaron so you're able to try a larger range of their products. Its probably best to order online if you were wantint to try a specific flavour. They were all quite tasty and flavourful.
T.Beautiful and delicious, not too sweet and can really taste the flavours of each.
X.The best service in town. I bought a cake for my boyfriend under his parents' name to surprise him and thanks to the lovely owner with his dedicated suggest, my boyfriend's birthday was fantastic. The cake looked absolutely stunning and the flavor is extraordinarily yummy. The owner delivered the cake himself and even instructed my boyfriend how to open the cake box properly. Highly Recommended !!!

the macaroons looked okay. I just think there aren’t many interesting flavours, just your basics flavour/ flavour combination. For that price and okay quality- not worth getting the cupcakes in my opinion. Giving 4 stars because service was super friendly.
L.The three words could be “best macarons ever”. They are to die for, you haven’t lived until you try these macarons. They do the correct ratio of 1:1:1, with the most flavourful centres. My favourites are lemon, cookies & cream, and chocolate. Though to be honest I love all of them. You should try the raspberry, matcha, blueberry, earl grey, salted caramel, passionfruit, pistachio… oops I might’ve named most of them, and still missed a few I love.
We haven’t even started on the rest of what The Three Words sells, they also offer flowers and cakes and cupcakes. I think I actually died when I first tried one of the cakes - it was just your classic chocolate but it was so much more. I actually envy you lucky people who are yet to be converts, once you try this place, your life will forever be changed. I can’t do justice with photos I take (although to be honest the macarons get eaten well before a photo could be taken), so please check their website for photos!

M.Very professional, Brian obviously sets high standards for his business. He informed me that due to a batch of macaroons looking less than perfect he wanted to check if okay to swap out the flavour. He was very apologetic despite me getting a better deal, more flavours why not?! Communication was great, I wasn't expecting to be emailed a picture of the final product and it looked so lovely I was kinda jealous that I wasn't the one recieving it! Thanks so much Brian!
L.I must say this is the BEST cakes and macaroons place in town!! Had their macaroons before and today tried their vegan raw cake and it’s absolutely delicious, rich and creamy. J.Terrific cupcakes! They arrived beautifully displayed in a very sophisticated box that builds big expectations! On opening the box the cupcakes are individual works of art. I've now got HUGE expectations of taste; will they taste anything like as good as they look? I'm doubtful. But bold flavours, each unique and as fresh as if I'd baked them myself. Wonderful. Such a great job by Brian and his team. And uncommonly friendly and accommodating service! Totally made my day. 10/10 to the Three Words!
K.What an Excellent Cake and Service. I was a bit hesitant as I had not heard to Three Words before and the photos of the cakes looked a little too good to be true. However, right from the start I was impressed as I rang to check if there were any nuts in the cake I was thinking of getting. They put the pastry chef on the phone who walked me through the menu and advised which had no nuts or almond flour. I then placed my order online and got another call the next day just to confirm that they would make sure the cake was made in a nut free environment as well. I set the pick up time at 10.30am and at noon had a call to remind me the cake was waiting for me and what time would we be eating it as it should have 4 hours out of the fridge to be at its best! I went in a couple of hours later and they walked the cake out to me while I double parked [They are at the library end of Lorne Street in apart that I did not even know was Lorne Street]. We had a two layer passion fruit and coconut cake and the 10 that enjoyed it for the birthday celebration were as impressed of the way it looked as much as it's taste and texture. The restaurant was great as they split the layers to serve it and left us with the whole top layer to go home with. The single layer was enough for our 10 after a large dinner. So an excellent find and nut free to boot!

w.Tasty macarons that are not too sweet but their sizes has literally become 3/4 of what they were...6 macarons used to fill the whole box without any gaps but now you can pretty much fit 7 macarons..

Period. or at least, the best in CBD for sure. the ratio of buttercream and macaron biscuit is immaculate. the flavour is rich and natural, not artificial or stale at all. you know when you taste badly-made buttercream, it tastes sticky and oily, and it feels like the fat is separating from sugar, and it leaves that filmy, disgusting feeling over your tongue? TTW's macarons are anything but that. the sweetness isn't too strong, just enough to make you feel pleasant and craving for more. sure the price might be higher than other macaron places but it sure is worth it. i went there around 12pm on Saturday, came back after 3 hours with a friend only to find them all gone. they're THAT good. if you're planning to get some macarons, get them here but make sure to go early so you won't miss out all the popular flavours! my personal fav is rose and pistachio, would recommend 100/10!!!!

S.I found my favourite place for macaron. I like macaron but always hesitated because I don't like too sugary. It was definitely a hard choice on the macaron because of their size, but OH Boy, I don't regret what I chose. So delicious but not too SWEET like other macaron. What a treasure this place is. I will order macaron and cakes soon again.

M.[Matcha Green Tea Raw Cake - vegan]
haven't tasted the cake yet but i'm already upset for the inconsistent reply from the cake shop.
Few days ago i asked on their FB page, if the matcha green tea raw cake comes with edible flowers on top and the shop owner (Brian) replied Yes.
When calling and order the cake today, i confirm about the "edible flower" again and the staff answer that all cakes (vegan & baked) only come with normal fresh flowers.
Feel disappointed form the false hope given just few days ago.
Will update the review after tasting the matcha green tea raw cake.
Hope the cake quality won't bring me another disappointment and
the cake can help bring themselves back for a few more stars back.

The reason why i didn't ask to talk to the shop owner for clarification when the shop staff told us different reply is that ... it's not me but my friend helping me to order and pick up the cake. I don't want to further bother my friend and ask my friend to argue/fight with the shop for the edible flower.
Finally i got the cake picked up and have it finished with friends.
[Pros]
- nice packing box and presentation
- the 5 inch cake is small but the texture is dense enough to feed 4 adults.
- during pickup, the shop said sorry and actively gave us a free green tea macaroon as apology for the miscommunication mentioned above. thank you Brain.
[Cons]
- The green tea is weak if you are a matcha green tea lover. This may be due to the limitation of a vegan cake.
- the cake is a bit pricy when considering $50 for the 5 inch size
[Conclusion]
- my wife, who is a keen green tea lover, still prefers the japanese shop "TSUJIRI" in city CBD. Their cake is more expensive $76 but much bigger in size and with much stronger green tea.
- if you are only looking for any cake (not green tea) with great presentation, try "house of chocolate" in takapuna and you won't be disappointed.
- the green tea macaroon is the highlight & surprise. we all four people agreed that it tastes better than the green tea raw cake.

I didn't think it was particularly delicious, and sometimes it was an unpleasant candy that stuck to my teeth depending on what was sandwiched between them. However, the three words macaroons were completely different. Each macaron brought out the original taste that was completed, and it was not only colorful but also original in taste. The sweetness that is just right is exquisite, not too crunchy or too harsh. My personal recommendation is the "Earl Gray Tea" macaroons. As a variant, "Real Banana" was also a shocking gem. The colorful and gorgeous macaron set is a perfect birthday gift for your friends.
The store in front of the CBD library moved to Ponsonby on February 9, 2022. It may be easier to park the car and it may be better 😚 It is a highly recommended store ♪

自分のマカロンの概念を一掃させる衝撃が走ったのがここ「The Three Words Cakes &Flowers」だ。それまで自分にとってのマカロンはただ色がついた激甘な塊だった。特に美味しいとも思わなかったし、時には間に挟まった物によっては歯にこびりつく嫌なお菓子だった。ところがThree Wordsのマカロンは全く違っていた。それぞれのマカロンが完成されたオリジナルの味を醸し出し、色鮮やかなだけで無く味の独創性があった。歯触りやクドすぎない丁度いい甘さは絶妙。個人的なオススメは「Earl Grey Tea」のマカロン。変わり種としては「Real Banana」も衝撃の逸品だった。色鮮やかで華やかなマカロンセットは友達の誕生日ギフトにぴったりです。
CBDの図書館前にあったお店が2022年2月9日にポンソンビーに移転。車が停めやすくなって良くなったかも😚 凄くオススメの店です♪
