Decent bakery, never disappoints. The sandwiches are always fresh and there is a good selection of pies. I got an apple slice which was very good the shortbread was delicious on it.

Busy neighborhood bakery with really excellent food. Standard pies sandwiches and cakes, but all a cut above. The chicken stuffing sandwich is my favourite for a cheeky carb soaked lunch. Often lines out the door at weekday lunchtime.

For me, the best way to judge a bakery is to order a steak and cheese pie. Burwood bakery makes a wonderful pie! Lean meat, nice pastry and a some non-traditional options as well as the classics. Not much to look at from the outside but definitely worth a visit!! Even a vegetarian option in the potato & cheese pastie. We'll be back!

I'm surprised more people aren't raving about this exquisite little gem. Don't be fooled by the unassuming exterior. Behind those walls is a palace of palatable pleasures. Wondrous pies with glorious gravy, hearty medallions of meat and a fecundity of flavour. Sandwiches that will have you salivating and cravable cafe that will keep you coming back time and time again. As previous commentators have duly noted, the staff will delight the direst of days. This place is a treasure for the East Enders.
