Was hoping they had a chicken roll but it was late in the afternoon . They did have a good lot of displayed sweets, the chocolate mouse for $4.50 caught my eye and the chocolate eclairs for $2.90. There were no prices on the items so I did have to ask which was a down fall as I like to know without having to ask. The chcoclate moose was rich in flavour does have a bit of sponge in the middle and the eclair was my favourite. It was huge in size , nice and an cold. Tasted delicious for the price of it , it was definitely worth it and cheap too. I would highly recommend giving it a try. Inside is spacious and outside area is the only dinning area :) yes I would come back here

Best Pies in Christchurch from traditional Steak & Cheese to Pork & watercress. Always busy & food topped up. They do catering aswell which is handy. There sandwiches & sweet treats are absolutely delicious. My entire whanau enjoys this Bakery. Highly reccomend

Have been to this bakery a number of times and always received wonderful service and fantastic food. Having been locked down in Christchurch a one week trip turned into four weeks. As the food is first class and thinking I would have my last bite and shout my daughter morning tea before I left I was absolutely horrified with the person serving us on Monday, 13th September. Certainly had no Customer Service Skills and should not be placed to serve on the counter. We had to repeat ourselves a number of times, the person packed the incorrect items, attempted to listen to our conversation and guess what we wanted - but got it wrong and that was apparently our fault, was rude to the point if it had been my business I would have fired her on the spot. We left without making a purchase which would have also included my daughters partners lunch. A lost sale of around $35.00, unhappy customers who decide if they really wish to go back - absolutely shocked by a total lack of service - a great shame.

Would like you to be open until 6pm. Can you do that? Unvaxxed welcome great coffee and pies. Nice setting. Could do with some foliage outside like small trees

Steak and cheese pie was really nice! Definitely could have been hotter as it was only warm. Plenty of steak pieces of decent sizes, pastry was really good too. And is real cheese not fakey stuff I've seen some places use. Gingerbread man was a hit with the kid. Everything is reasonably priced too, definitely be back. Yum

Wow, what a lovely surprise this place was ! In the middle of Woolston - where the daily struggle is real - I found this gem... The food was made the good old fashioned way. Decent sandwiches with heaps of yummy looking fillings - something to chomp on, not just nibble. And they tasted so good... The lovely lady happily agreed to my 'single shot' request for my cappuccino - yes, I've got the raised, sneering eyebrows previously when asking for it to be made this way...... my coffee - my taste.. And it was delicious ! Finally, the cafe assistant herself - very friendly and welcoming, cheerful, informative and humble. She backed up my compliment to her on the generous sandwich size by agreeing they wanted to give people awesome value for money. Hun, you're nailing it ! You so deserve to get them coming back. Well done. 😁

Stopped in here for lunch after a trip to the beach. Enjoyed every item I had. First course, 2 sausage rolls and a lolly cake. Went back for more 5 mins later, the lady at the counter said they have damn good pies so I took a pepper steak pie, she was right to recommend it, was spectacular. Will return again.

A great bakery but don't go to early or you will get yesterday's leftovers. I have been told after 11.30 am the food should be Today's they said after I complained to them about yesterday's food. The coffee is not that good after it changed hands! maybe they changed brands or don't know how to make it. I eat there often after 12.30 but buy my coffee a few doors down and the thick shakes are made with powder and not cold but the food is nice

The food is pretty average but my son loved the ginger bread cookies and a couple if the staff really make a fuss over him and most of them treat him well. There has been a couple of occasions where staff were very rude to him. (He is autistic and 6yo, excitable but not destructive or naughty)and the staff told me to tell him to shut up. Not acceptable but the two good staff make up for it.

Woolston bakery is one of those places you want to tell your friends and family about. Steak and cheese pies are my go-to fav. Can highly recommend the chicken rolls for value of chicken and not skimping on the dressings. All three are great, and I often find myself facing an internal battle between chicken avocado, chicken satay or chicken salad.
